How did it take you that long to figure out?
Why do people talk more about The Smile Sessions than the 2004 "Brian Wilson Presents Smile" ?
Are The Smile Sessions better ?
Didn't even know BWPS existed
Both are really great albums. Often people here like to pretend that BWPS is nowhere near as good as TSS, but it's pretty close. BWPS has seamless transitions between a lot of the tracks and the instruments are more clear. Also it adds some extra vocal parts that fill out some of the less finished songs. Old Brian sounds a bit off on the softer songs, but does a good job for the most part. Its the second highest rated album on metacritic
>>69275682
i listened to some of it, it's pretty great indeed
What happened with the lyrics for Good Vibrations though ?
I thought the ones on TSS were way better and the ones here are pretty mediocre, not liking this version at all
>>69276126
>What happened with the lyrics for Good Vibrations though ?
They are the original lyrics that were scrapped
what went so horribly horribly wrong?

>tfw used to be really into alt rock, edm, emo, punk and other /mu/core and stuff that delved into the obscure
>tfw i had a gradual epiphany/realization this week that most of this music is trash and is mostly just noise and catharsis for suburbanite gorged puppies who had to deal with the neurosis of living in an urbanized world
>tfw i realize that classical music and jazz is truly the most intellectually-soothing music
i just listened to a lot of bach, mozart and charles mingus today and it cleansed my soul
any other recommendations while I take a shitload of shrooms to feel like a kid again?

probably......although the immediate open registration is a bit unsettling....kinda wish they only allowed people who have been in private trackers before or have a screenshot from their WCD account page

how about you
at what age did you realize jazz is the superior form of music?
always ahead of the curve
is that baby ok
>>69274330
Never. It might have greater skilled players than pop punk, but it's not really ahead of any curve. If anything now that the american songbook is 70 years old or what have you it needs all the help it can get to get around into the 3rd millenium of christ
when I bought my first fedora
Hi /mu/ hope you're doing ok. How about we start a /calm/ thread? Post the most chilling, optimistic, meditative music you can possibly think of. It helps me deal with anxiety and it also releases dopamine on my brain :)
Ambient or not, we don't care right? I'll start
Most of Grouper's stuff is good. Varies from straight up ambient to more dreamy stuff depending on the ambient.
