Am I a philistine for liking Metric ?
it depends on which albums tbqh
no worries, i like metric as well
>>71311578
Well, my only favorites so far were Fantasies (elder deity tier) and synthetica (breedy gud tier) but pales in comparison to the former. The rest is pure sadness, a shadow of their best works. The fact that Haines is probably a old Hag by now (fantasies was released 8 FUCKING YEARS AGO) only adds to my sadness.
>>71311829
have you listened to anything pre fantasies?
Yet I can't stop listening to it. Its so strange and unsettling it always feels new listening to it. I still don't think I 'like' the album, but if art is meant to make you think, this is definitely art.
So why do I keep listening to it /mu/?
Congraguldions you like the album now go away
>>71311708
but i don't like it
>>71311451
You're just trying to fit in with tryhards on /mu/
I understand not wanting to be left out but this album is hot garbage

I'd delete Sometimes if I had to pick one. Never did understand the love for that track, it's basically mediocre JAMC worship when the rest of the album is way more interesting.
But that's a good song
>>71311430
this, even touched is better than sometimes.
also loomer is my fav

Oh.
My.
God.
I already loved Tip but now I respect him a thousand times more. Just imagine what Yes/Just Blaze's/Madlib's collection is like...
Imagine the sampling possibilities...This is fucking awesome.
(Don't know why he has 2 copies of Rubber Soul, though...)

>His two favorite bands aren't Radiohead and Animal Collective.
Is there anything more satisfying than having these two bands as your favorite??
Being older than 17
>>71310961
maybe when i was 16.
times have changed and neither have a darker mature sound to get me thru college

>Is there anything more satisfying than having these two bands as your favorite??
Yeah, not being a pleb faggot.
Wanna know why his sound is unique?
Because he sounds like shit and no one else wants to intentionally sound like shit, it's not like other artists don't possess what is needed to sound like shit, they merely have the sense not to, because sounding like shit isn't a good thing.
If he just focused on production and let more talented artists rap over top he would have an amazing body of work, but instead this egotistical attention whore has to try and do it himself.
i agree. he didn't produce this and it's the best track he's ever been featured on!!

Is this what a 24bit 96KHz music file is supposed to look like?
Might be a transfer from an SACD; those things only have frequency response up to 30kHz. Any thing above that is noise because lol1-bitaudio
Why don't you try listening to it???
What song is it?
the sub-bass used in this punk song sounds amazing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1oLv0hdtFU
does anyone else know of punk, post-punk, hardcore, or post-hardcore songs with sub-bass?
I love this song, but I don't think you know what sub bass is
>>71310310
turn on your subs, bub. i used to play this in my car and i don't even have subs and it made the rearview mirror get all fuzzy when the bass parts kick in.
>>71310257
Atari Teenage Riot has what you're looking for but its not really punk, its samples and shit.

Saw this posted on Facebook, and so many retards didn't even read the article/review. Triggered hard. He clearly liked the album, in spite of the hackneyed trope. It was an interesting read

fuck this position and any subhumans who support it

exactly, it's actually a pretty well thought out argument. People are very dumb.
