Has anyone ever listened to When your heart stops beating by +44. I wonder what people's thoughts on the album are.
I don't like the singles much, but i really like Lillian, Little death and Make you smile.
I also like Weatherman and Chapter 13.

shit
What criticism about the music you listen to have you heard the most from people (not on /mu/)
For me it's something like, "that's the type of stuff they use to torture people with". I've heard family, friends, teachers, and many other people say that and they always say it like they're the first people to think of it.

Thoughts on Sky Ferreira?

Would like to fuck
Her last album had a few good songs
>>71330470
her debut was surprisingly good. hopefully her second one will be good too.
I enjoy this album. What other RFTC should I listen to?
>>71330194
All Systems Go 2. There are 3 All Systems Go comps. And it is the best one by far, but let me explain a bit.
You probably listened to Hot Charity/Cut N Play. Hot Charity was a full album and Cut N Play was an ep. Both were only issued on vinyl, there was no mp3 or cd release.
John Reis has a vinyl fetish. He (and his band) intentionally take the songs they think are the catchies/poppiest and release those on vinyl and no other medium, so that they are precious for his actual fans.
Heres a Hot Snakes example.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApIXEbw6ah8
Here's a Night Marchers example
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEn59uQ2lec
All Systems Go 2 is all of their vinyl singles, and never released songs from a little before Hot Charity era up to the Cut N Play era. So about 4 years worth. There are very poppy radio friendly songs versus chorus verse-type weezer-ish songs, completely distorted noise punk songs, and there are catchiest pop friendly radio songs that have the song structures of DLJ, meaning not verse chorus verse.
All John Reis (Hot Snakes & DLJ guitarist album) rankings...
>>71330194
>>71330850
DLJ - S/T - 8
DLJ - YC - 9.5
Hot Snakes - AutoMid - 6.5
HS - Suicide Inv - 8
HS - Audit In Pro - 9
RFTC - Paint - 5 (shitty pop punk, dumb lyrics)
RFTC - Circa Now! - 8 (alt rock/punk with weird lyrics, distorted vocals)
RFTC - The State Of Art Is On Fire - 8 (garage punk, lo-fi)
RFTC - Hot Charity/Cut N Play - 9.5
RFTC - Scream Drac - 8 (50s revival rock/punk)
RFTC - All Systems Go 1 - 7 (noise punk, lo-fi, distorted vocals)
RFTC - All Systems Go 2 - 9.5 (all styles)
RFTC - All Systems Go 3 - 7 (demo records, lo-fi)
RFTC - RFTC - 5 (polished sell-out pop punk, gross)
RFTC - Group Sounds - 8.5 (old school punk throw back, lo-fi)
RFTC - Live From Camp X-Ray - 5 (shitty old school punk throwback)
The Sultans - S/T - 7 (straight up Ramones rip-off)
The Sultans - Shipwrecked - 9 (punk break up album)
Night Marchers - See You In Magic - 7 (lo-fi, Hot Snakes-ish)
Night Marchers - Allez Allez - 7.5 (lo-fi Hot Snakes-ish)
Back Off Cupids - 6 (instumentals)
PS there was a CD/mp3 release for Hot Charity/Cut N Play) but it happened 6 or so years after Hot Charity was released on vinyl and a year or 2 before Cut N Play was released on vinyl.

So it has been 10 years, are we getting an Alive 2017 tour do you think?
Wouldn't they have anounced it already?
>>71330082
"alive" 2007 tour actually started in 2006, so there should have had been shows in last year, which this isn't the case. there will be no alive 2017
cutest girl in the galaxy~
post your song of the year so far
Why does Sulli collect such disgusting cats?
Someone on /mu/ once told me this "hidden gem" was better than the Beatles. Whoever that anon was, fuck you.
It's circus music for poseurs who think Les Rallizes Denudes and Pere Ubu are obscure, sorry you fell for the meme
>>71329987
keep on listening to it, I recommend skipping the first song on one listen so it doesn't overshadow the rest, and don't fucking listen to wooden wife ever again
>>71330037
LRD is good though
Man what happened to music? it used to actually require talent, now you have dopes like kanye west pushing some buttons on a computer and calling themselves music.
It's a sorry state when you turn on the radio these days and hear a bunch of kids playing on a keyboard, I'd be willing to wager a bet that no one in the top40 has even held a damn guitar.
