I know you guys think it's pleb, but some of it has to be essential.
Posting a rec chart of the opposite direction.

God I fucking HATE that chart. I feel like it would instantly convince any dadrocker that they're right about modern music.
>>73563042
Music for when you've heard all of this entry-level hipster shit, and you're still bored as fuck with modern music?
>>73563122
Why? Most of it is similar to the /mu/ starter chart.

i'm living for this shannon era
why didn't they collab yet?
>>73562259
Because rihanna can't sing
Because they let their yass kween fan girls get to their heads and now have massive egos.
they won't ever collab
they've literally hired people to harass each other
reminder that this happened
Jonny is a talentless retard. It's hilarious how people think he's the smartest of the group.
it was probably his kid messing with his ipad

lmfao
I have been depressed for years now, and one of my closest friends fucked me over on my birthday a couple weeks ago, and since then I have been falling deeper and deeper into depression and cutting off my close friends one by one for slightly annoying me, until today I had a manic episode and cut off all my other friends. Music for this feel?
Don't ask any questions.

You're doing well. Celebrate with some black metal
/mu\tants is Ernie ball even the best strings?
Depends on what your comfortable with and how you want your string tones to sound when struck.
I usually get super slinky 6 string sets for my SG because I find 9 gauge low E to be a decent thickness but im thinking of trying out 8 gauges.
Elixir or gtfo
Only fags buy anything besides Ernie Balls, they like their shitty strings snapping and scratch their skin because they're faggot masochists

Name a better modern recording artist
Frank
>>73561695
literally the only one I'd argue for

Also this >>73561695. Why would anyone listen to Drake in a world where Frank exists?
I'm a bass player and have only been a bass player who only knows TAB but I want to be a lead singer due to my lyrics, but I don't really wanna transition to guitar and I've heard playing a regular bass is hard while singing.
Any idea on what I should do? the type of music I wanna perform is Related Tags
indie, shoe-gaze and lo-fi kinda stuff with a bit of post-rock and folk influences?
>>73561282
I've never played one so I couldn't tell you first hand how cofortable they are to play. I haven't heard great things about them tho.
I see them more as a gimmick for playing bassy surf-rock riffs.
You're probably better off transitioning to guitar (which shouldn't be too difficult if you know bass).
If you're looking for a lower sound you could always try different tunings or get a baritone.
also, why not sing and play bass at the same time? Many lead singers play bass.
if you plan to have two guitarists in your band the bass vi is just going to be a waste. a 5 string with a low b string is cool if you really want more low end but I only see people using it in metal. if you want to play guitar then just play guitar, don't try to fight the role of your instrument as a bass player
if you're only going to have one guitarist in your band you can play like lou barlow and get away with it

>also, why not sing and play bass at the same time? Many lead singers play bass.
I've heard its very hard, those who do are very talented musicians, the type of music I get my influences from don't have lead/bass.
But I don't really know.

Literally the only decent actual Vaporwave album ever made (and also the first).
Can /mu/ sing?
Any moron can learn how to play a guitar, but it takes real talent to use your voice to hit notes
voices can be trained, just like fingers.
no but that doesn't stop me
>>73561126
I can sing but I have a very limited range. I sing folky stuff anyway so thats ok.
