You've been tasked with making a Gundam show set in late U.C. You have pretty much free range apart from it mustn't fuck up canon and you can't just make it overly lewd
what do you do?

Make an F91 sequel that chronicles the Cosmo Babylonian Civil War and the secret weapons/war funding by a special covert Jupiter Organization designed to break coherent command over space colonies even further.
Crossbone anime all the way
Where do I start to describe this mess?
After watching 10 episodes, all I can say is "I am sooooo lost". I get the parties "Moon", "Earth", "Armenians", "Capital Army", and "Pirates". They are fighting, sorta, and yet they are not...... Main character "Bellri" was a cadet at the capital army, defected for NO reason and joined the Armenians, ended up killing his instructor, and despite the "Oh what have I done" scene, the remorse lasted about 5 seconds.
His mother is supposedly a high ranking officer, and she just decided to go find him in nothing more than what might be a wooden raft in a big ocean, having no idea how to find him, and yet found him, while ditching her duties.
Having watched Gundams for a few years now I come to expect the various things that the machines are doing without too much of excitement. Afterall, it is like watching the transformers and be amazed at their transforming capabilities..... Not gonna really happen. So point here is, it does not exceed expectation when it comes to the subject title.
The only part I can make of the "G" in the title is "Gawd" [why did I even watch this sh*t]. Gundam has always been about honor code, loyalty, maybe treachery/betrayal, but nary for petty reasons. I am still trying to understand the rifts between the two parties, and so far the only conclusion I get: reasons unknown.
Funny thing is, I might still keep watching. It might end up being like pulp fiction. You need to see the whole thing to finally understand the pieces here and there.
I HOPE there is a light at the end of this tunnel. But for now, it is cow patty. Hands down.
How long until the shitposting stops and G-reco is hailed as a masterpiece? Only when the next series start?

You're pretty dedicated, huh.

Yeah such is the way of /m/
Hard sci-fish mecha thread.
What are your favourite hard sf mecha series'? I fell in love with Knights of Sidonia(I'd say it's hard) and Planetes mangas. Anything else I should see/read?
>>11881142
It's not exactly mecha, but the first three or four episodes of Starship Operators are about as hard as TOS's Balance of Terror, or any other submarine-warfare-style science fiction. It's not much, but for anime that's somewhere between diamond and DragonForce.
Also, on the off chance you haven't seen them, the Gunbuster specials add a bit more crunch with regard to time dilation, and other science-y things.
>>11881142
I hear Patlabor is pretty Hard.
I just bought the original OVA on blu ray a few days ago. Gonna watch it for the first time soon.
>>11881142
How hard?
Argevollen are pretty hard in comparison to everything else in the season
If you don't mind I recommend Red Eyes (manga) and Ring of Red (PS2 game) both of which are pretty hard, RoR even more so (though it has tedious and shitty gameplay)
What is the best grunt suit, and why is it the GM
zaku is best

Has this show been a let down for anyone else?
Season one was brilliant. Did they strike gold with Build Fighters and use all of their interesting ideas there? Try has just felt like it's been done as an obligation, it's been real mediocre.
None of the characters have been interesting as well. Build Fighters had a great supporting cast filled with funny and interesting characters, while Try has had almost none of that, they've failed to create anyone I care about.
>failed to create anyone I care about
>post fumina
I like the characters, its just they don't do a whole lot with them.
>>11849229
I always said I never wanted a second season because how brilliant season 1 was and how it ended. Season 2 characters are just not as interesting or enjoyable as Season 1.
Which /m/ character would you lick?

just a few higher res scans since the previously posted one didn't do much justice to the lineart.

I'm not expecting a full-out fight, but if the Red Warrior doesn't at show off it's stuff at least a little next week, I will be sorely disappointed.
I still want edgelords gunpla, if only to give HYDRA a chance to appear

Im just worried Sekai may get back up and pull out a ... not win but a non the complete demolition his team needs
I realize that TARS was intentionally designed to resemble the monoliths from 2001: A Space Odyssey, but the design still annoys me. Surely there's better methods of locomotion for robots in the near future right? At least it was fun to watch as we are shown the different ways it can unfold and "transform" in some ways.
I liked TARS the most as a character though, I liked his role in the story and I thought he was very well voiced. I liked it that the voice sounded completely human in every way, because that kind of technology is being developed right now (soon we'll be able to chose which celebrity voice we want to read audiobooks to us, and it will flawlessly replicate it for us in real time, imagine that).
I liked TARS as a character because I loved it that there was a robot in a movie, yet the movie itself didn't really dwell on it. It's like, "Yeah there are robots in the future and they help us do stuff, no big deal..." Too much fiction in my opinion follow the trends laid down by the Hal 9000, and I loved it that TARS even made a joke about it.
I get the sense that TARS was actually creating his own humor which suggests that he actually had consciousness and self-awareness. I love it that there's a movie with a robot conscious entity that doesn't go around killing people, that is (apparently) bound by the three laws and seems to be okay with it. TARS was like a living, breathing character right there with all of the other human cast, and I want to see more robot characters like that in fiction.

He wanted to make a robot that wasn't a robot, essentially. At least, not what westerners think of when they hear "robot".
Remember that what the west thinks when they hear the word and what the east thinks are very different things.

That's interesting. Please elaborate.

I like number two, I'd like number three if it had normal feet, number 4 is a bit weird since it looks like it has a Gundam face underneath a helmet.
I hate all of them, but number 3 has some really cool feet.
