Which version of the Hi-Nu do you prefer and why? I'm not just talking about the kits' engineering/features, but from a design perspective.
>>11683795
Design wise? Ver ka every time, if ONLY because of Izubuchi's original styling. That gloriously chunky izubuchi goodness has finally been do be justice, even RD is going full fat girl.
But Ver Kas generally have highly advanced engineering, though they often time come with their own issues. That's said, I havent built either, but for the Hi Nu I'd go with Ver Ka by default.
Really wouldn't recommend a ver ka for a first time. It's not that gunpla is particularly difficult to build, just that Ver Ka has a lot of pieces, man of them very small. There's also a matter of nub cleaning. Of course, if you have any actual model building experience, it should be a breeze.
The left one because i'm a stupid piece of shit
That is one huge chin on the left.
This is overdue.
Here is We're Federation Hooligans (We're Federation Bad Company) volume 2.

Thank you! It's translators like you that stay here for.
Fuck yes, I've been waiting for this.

Today is my Birthday so why not have a Spaceship thread.
happy birthday anon
Just saw this last night and.. jesus christ this movie was intense. Definitely the coolest mecha related movie ever made. It had such great art direction and tone that I completely ignored the half assed "reset the day" jargon. Every time Emily Blunt showed up and that scary music played while she fucked shit up with her sword was almost too great. Bonus points for Tom Cruise making me forget he was Tom Cruise the entire time.
Now tell me why it sucks /m/
>>11598818
Because the original novel was btter.
>>11598818
>such great art direction
Those suits are fucking ugly though and the monsters are generic as fuck
>>11598856
>Those suits are fucking ugly
They look more realistic than manga's suits
Hey guys, I'm back with one new nonfiction ebook and some tales of woe to tell. But on the upside, I have started Stargate Retribution (I'm three chapters in) and I reorganized my novel bookshelf to make finding things a lot easier.
Next post is going to be the updated list of available ePubs. The new nonfiction book is the last item on the list.

Wait, there were Independence Day novels? ...Were they sequels?
Is Metroid /m/?
If so Metroid Thread
Who elses favorite game is fusion?
>>11593767
Fusion or Super probably.
>>11593767
>Is Metroid /m/?
of course it fucking is
I loved Fusion and Zero Mission, the Prime Trilogy is also totally awesome
1. Zero Mission
2. Super
3. Fusion
I honestly don't care any more. Especially after what Abrams did in Into Darkness. I'm not a big enough fan of Star Wars to like anything in that universe unconditionally regardless of quality.
Reminds me of Mister Sir Henry Motherfucker's beam katana.
Toku fans will love this one.
Anyone else hype?
What's this?

Hyper Light Drifter
I want to get into mecha, but I have no idea where to start, and what are great animes in the genre. I watched Code Geass, Evangelion and Gundam 00 and loved them all very much, but that's about what I know.
So, can you recommend some good stuff with interesting plot and characters, epic music and great battles, and of course gorgeous mecha designs.
(And in particular, what are the best animes in the Gundam franchise?)
Thanks in advance.
Armored Trooper VOTOMS
Dougram
Shin Getter Robo
These are a good place to start, just be aware Shin Getter Robo might confuse you a bit if you don't read the manga first. Totally doable regardless.
As far as Gundam goes, you've already watched my personal favorite, but you should definitely watch UC. I'd skip SEED and Destiny. Wing is overrated due to Nostalgia and not very good. G is very good in a campy kung fu kind of way, which is kinda the point. Turn A will either bore you or blow you away, but it's something you should save for last. Gundam Build Fighters is great and the second season is airing currently. I'd save it for when you have a few more Gundam series under your belt so you can get all the little nods and references. G-reco (another currently airing Gundam series) is pretty polarizing at the moment, but I definitely recommend checking it out. The animation is beautiful.
>>11592754
>gorgeous mecha designs.
What kind of robots do you like?
>>11592754
Post mecha. Anything goes.
Is your boner for SEED ever gonna subside?
I get if u made the opening of Cross Ange a tribute to SEED, but now this shit is just getting embarrassing to watch.
When Japan's boner for SEED ends
I mean, SEED is still on GundamInfo for god's sake

...I laughed. No seriously, Dragons are now DRAGONS.
Hahaha, are you shitting me?
Dragon is an actual fucking word, what would give you the idea that turning it into an acronym would be a good idea?
These threads are going to be so fucking fun to keep track of, without exposing myself directly to the train wreck.

Reposting from the old thread(Sorta), but my 1/6 scale StG-44 showed up this evening. Gotta mod and paint it properly, but it's definitely a better size than the 1/9 scale I have at the Geara Zulu's feet. It'd be nice if a 1/7 scale existed for this gun, but that's just not gonna happen.
Oh well, at least it's a better size than the old one. Also, the 1/100 Zulu is ALMOST done. Just dragging my feet with it.
