How do I make money with my talent of writing about furry erotica?
r/eroticauthors/
has good tips on how to monetize your erotica. It's become a lot harder over the years. The market is flooded and it can be difficult to navigate Amazon's policies. Also, Amazon is the only game in town.
But there's money to be made. I made a few hundred dollars from it. I think I could have made more than $15 an hour if I had kept at it.

Can you explain this Übermensch shit to me?
1. How does the Übermensch as an idea defeat nihilism? Why would Zarathustra the destroyer of values give a damn about the Übermensch? Is it just Nietzsche writing his own desires in?
2. On one hand he describes the Übermensch as an evolution above men on the other hand he gives Cesare Borgia as an example.
Yet again he rejects the heroic interpretation of the Übermensch while also giving Goethe as an example.
What characteristics does the Übermensch have? Is he just a very "Will to power"full human or a philosophical concept? Is he a vision of the future or something men can become?
3. How? This question is of course heavily dependent on 2. Ammorality isn't really a spare characteristic most people just fail to live out their will to power.
Is the Übermensch just a description of success?
4. How do Will to Power and Übermensch as concepts belong together? Does the Übermensch overcome the will to power or has he just more will to power?
5. What is the significance of Eternal Return other than determinism and "quasi Nihilism"?
How does it influence the other two?
I've read Zarathustra, Beyond Good and Evil and Genealogy of Moral so I hope I can interact with your explanations yet especially the first point doesn't go into my head.
Thanks in advance.

The Ubermensch is the Uber-Kantian virtuous man.
1. By destroying traditional values, he creates room for self-legislation, thereby becoming a truly auto-nomous being. And no Nietzsche is not writing his own 'desires' or values in it, but opening up the space for one to write his own values.
2. See above.
3. It is a description of striving to succeed. Cf. The heaviest burden or The Myth of Sisyphus
4. Everybody partakes in the will to power. The Ubermensch makes the best of it.
5. Cf. answer to 3
6. I've never read any Nietzsche so don't take any of this seriously
create yourself as a work of art
read Goethe's biography he was all about 'the art of living'
what are /lits/ thoughts on literary magazines? any that you can swear by? thanks much

I enjoy Standpoint magazine alot
Lapham's is great. One of the few publications I'm always learning from. Paris Review is probably the standard, especially with its artistic focus. n+1 is also good, but is more cultural than artistic. Granta is hit or miss. I think all literary publications are better for their backlog and general resources than their continued releases, though.
In the 1980s sci fi author Bruce Sterling and his friends anonymously produced a free 1-page 'zine called Cheap Truth, that was mostly just being rude about sci fi of the the time.
Here is an example article:
>cheap-truth.blogspot #DOT# co.uk/1990/02/raging-diatribe-from-our-new-york.html?m=1
I've been thinking about doing something similar myself.
What do you think about this idea?
do it op, zines are important
bump for more cyberpunk

Are you becoming a youtuber or a crazy blogger?
What should one read before trying to read Merleau-Ponty? From what I've heard he isn't "super hard" but I still feel there's probably something one should be familiar with before reading him, and I don't mean the greeks or other obvious "philosophy essentials".

Spanish is squared and fits like a puzzle.
Hello, /lit/. Did you guys see the winning piece of the National Flash Fiction Day New Zealand's Micro Madness series? Pic related.
Balthasar Gracian was a Spanish Jesuit from the 17th century. I can only find one of his books available in English on amazon, that being "The Art of Worldly Wisdom" but I wonder if there are any others. I would also like to ask if the penguin translation is best, or if there is another translation.
>>9662882
>I would like to ask if the penguin translation is best
I mean for the Art of Worldly Wisdom (Or the Pocket Oracle and the Art of Prudence as penguin published it as)
>>9662882
I've tried to find the English version of his most important work, "El Criticón". Sorry man, couldn't find it neither on Amazon nor on the rest of the Internet. For someone who does not speak Spanish, Gracián is quite an obscure author. If you really want to read some of his works that desperately, buy the only one that seems to be translated into English. I wouldn't buy the Penguin translation if there is another one available. Good luck.
weeeeeew new women and men reprint is $15 on Barnes website. get it while it's hot. drops in 3 weeks!
I finished it recently, but I'll probably reread it in paperback when it comes out regardless. I can just tell it'll require 2 or 3 reads, much like Gravity's Rainbow or The Recognitions.

Darkness
In a small city, that’s where I’ve been for almost 12 years. A city that you will never want to live in all my windows and doors are locked, the curtains won’t let the sunlight come in, a room of darkness.
I took a small glance outside my house, I opened a curtain lightly but like before all I can see, we’re people..people bathing in their own blood. I immediately closed the curtain. I took a deep sigh and closed my eyes.
“mom..” I whispered.
And as if on cue, a tear fell down from my eyes. I took a deep sigh once more. I went to my closet to get my cloak and my katana.
“I’ll revenge”
I clenched my fist and went infront a mirror. I closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes I saw a girl infront of me with red eyes. Eyes that will make anyone tremble in fear.
“ I hate you! You killed mom and dad! You killed everyone!”
Tears keep flowing down my face,non-stop.
I just looked at the girl infront of me. I saw how blood flows. I smiled before everything went black.

Tell him honestly and constructively what he needs to improve on and how he can do it. How else would you reply?
Peterson caught it.
The corporate whores at E3 caught it.
Zizek caught it, even if he hated it.
100-something years later, and he's still lighting up our skies, as fresh and original as ever, the one-and-only, the most interesting man who ever lived and probably ever will live.
caught what? - t. pseud
Yes. The Neetch is for all-time. Hold on to your butts.

There was a rather famous book called Infectious Nietzsche. Probably had to do with syphillis. Btw took me a second to realize the E3 bit in the OP was about BG&E2.
what languages do you know?
how many of them you can use beyond reading?
what languages are you learinng now?
what languages you will learn in the future?
what are the most essential languages in your opinion?
>what languages do you know?
Hebrew, Russian, English, French.
how many of them you can use beyond reading?
All of them.
what languages are you learinng now?
German.
what languages you will learn in the future?
Korean ( Maybe )
what are the most essential languages in your opinion?
English no doubt.
I know English, German and Japanese.
I use English and Japanese with family and friends.
Learning French and Latin right now.
Thinking of learning Italian since it should be easy as shit, and maybe Spanish as well. Classical Greek is something I'm eyeing as well.
The most essential is of course English, followed by German or French, depending on what you use it for. Mandarin and Hindi are obviously essential as well.
Does anyone have any recommendations for interesting books set in Mexico?
I'm looking for novels, historical fiction, or cultural narratives which are entertaining and well-written.
For instance, I recently read 'The Lowland' by Jhumpa Lahiri, which touched on the Naxal movement in the Indian state of West Bengal. That prompted me to do a bit of research on the topic and opened some doors to other areas of interest. I'm looking forward to returning to India in another few months to hopefully attend some educational conferences and speak to some informed folks.
I'll be in Mexico for a month starting Monday and would like to learn more about the country I'll be in while being provided some context for further educational exploration.
Don't speak Spanish, by the way.
