A condom WILL reduce the risk of other STD's like syphilis or chlamydia.

As for trusting him, that's up to you and the amount of risk with which you are comfortable.

I've had surgery and I have been on hormones for a long time but I don't think I plan to go full-time ever.

So I'm just going to stay a man but continue taking hormones and plan for FFS.

Even after FFS I'd still probably live as a man.

I get gendered female sometimes but either way is fine honestly.

How do I know that I'm really gay?

Is it possible that I was so lonely that I started reaching out sexually to my guy friend and became a homosexual out of desperation for emotional and physical intimacy? And that maybe I wouldn't have been gay if I had gotten attention from women?

I was a smallish kid when I was in high school, not very confident. Not that I wasn't active. I played pick-up basketball and hockey whenever I could.

But I didn't seem to have an attraction to girls. Not that I WASN'T attracted to them, nor was I attracted to guys. Sex/romance was never on my mind.

My next door neighbor, a girl I had grown up with, introduced my to my future wife (they were friends). I later found out that my neighbor had told her that she thought I was gay.
