People suffer from gender dysphoria as a result of two conditions that must be met:

1. are transgender (biological sex and gender identity are not in agreement)
2. their body as it is in that moment does not conform to their gender identity, and being prevented from bringing it into alignment exacerbates the resulting dysphoria

So gender dysphoria comes as a possible result of being transgender.

Gender dysphoria is a mental illness cause by the inside not matching the outside. Transsexualism is the cure by making the outside match the inside.

"mental illness" is arbitrary. It doesn't matter whether it is or isn't, but what can be done to treat it. Also mental illnesses must impair some ones life: Dysphoria may do that but simply being trans doesn't.

See, most people do freak the fuck out if you say that to them

my most recent ex had GAD with a side order of pretty bad depression. I mostly would just listen to her, didn't make it about myself when she was having a shitty day / needed to talk about her feelings. I didn't approach her or the relationship like it was my job to "fix" her or act like I was a savior to her problems. That's really all the advice I can give though, be empathetic but don't go in like you're going to solve everything for them (because you can't, and it can make them feel even worse).

I think more (maybe a lot more) people are bisexual than current numbers show, but I don't think everyone is bisexual. Otherwise, how do you explain gay people who desperately tried to be attracted to the opposite sex, but couldn't?

MtF, I'm thinking. Obviously, I'm going to help them transition as early as possible so the question is who has a better life: an early transition MtF or FtM?

I say MtF because while both of them would have heights and skeletons appropriate for their gender, the FtM would still be dickless so he would have a hard time with girls (I'm assuming both are straight). The FtM would still need to have his uterus removed to prevent cancer, and then need a pelvic sling to hold his other organs in place. If he goes for SRS, it's his $100,000-$200,000 vs. her $20,000.

I've basically already considered this question before because I've wondered if I was lucky to be MtF and not FtM.

T helps you pass better than E regardless of the age before starting HRT.

don't think so. pedophilia and zoophilia still fall under homosexuality and heterosexuality. Someone who's a pedophile isn't attracted to all children; rather there attracted to the ones that fall under their orientation. Same with furries and such. They'll have a hard time proving that they have a seperate sexuality/orientation that needs advocating for.

However, I do feel that pedophilia maybe needs advocation for less stigmatization, it just doesn't need advocation for rights as there isn't anything legally actively oppressing it (unless you count age of consent laws).
