Mike Barkley visited my house to ask for my support, I asked his platform and he gave environmental issues, I looked him up and sure enough he's a communist cuck, wanna see the video of me burning his card? if so let me know, but just a friendly reminder, don't vote for Barkley in june, if you're from california.

I think Communism is an outstanding idea in theory. The problem with it comes with the people put at the head of it. People are the corruptible link in the communist change.

Thats a broad spectrum.

If your rucking, pack heavy thermals to sleep in. But the main thing to remember is that as you exert yourself your body temperature will increase. Light thermals might end up overheating you if your constantly moving.

Gloves.. wear a pair of run of the mill cotton gloves underneath some leather ones. I cut the fingers out of the cotton ones, for more delicate finageling.

So the word marine has it's roots in the fact that they're based off the water -- maritime soldiers if you will.

So shouldn't we call soldiers in space cosmolines?

Hey /k/

There's a fun show coming up and I want an SKS. How much should I pay in today's market and what condition is acceptable for that price? I don't want to pay mint condition money for a beater that's worth half what I paid.

And if I don't find an SKS what are some good alternatives in the same price range ($300-$450 is my budget)
I need it to be rugged, reliable, accurate, and have readily available ammo i.e. basically an SKS. It will be a truck/camping/survival rifle, so it needs to be reliable at the very least.

Well if you find anything under $300 that is still in working condition you better snatch that shit up. Even heavily used but still functional chink sks go for $300 and up but at the same time if prices exceed $450 you are better off buying an ak pattern rifle if you are set on a 7.62x39 rifle.

every SKS there was $400 or more, even the bubba'd shit in tapco stocks.
I'd say you're better off checking jgsales, aimsurplus, classic firearms or another online retailer

tl;dr
need a weapon to carry to protect my doggo from strays.

Longer version:
I was walking and i encountered a pack of 4-5 strays. 3 were pretty big pit bulls and the rest were just mutts. I've called the city before about the absurd number of strays, but they don't really give a fuck.

Anyway, I was just a few yards from my front gate when I saw them. They all came flying from across the street and forced me to into a neighbor's yard. At this point they essentially surrounded me. I was carrying of course, but my dog was obviously flipping the fuck out and I could barely hold the leash and i couldn't draw my ccw. Even if i could , blasting away on a stranger's yard would almost certainly get me killed if the dogs didn't rip my face off first.

I spotted a brick at the last second and dropped the leash, picked it up clocked one of the pits as it came at me, meanwhile my doggo was warding off the ones behind me. I think i started barking like an autist and we chased them all away and ran home. Doggo got belly rubs and treats for saving my ass.

Now i was wondering what kind of weapon would work in this scenario? I was thinking maybe like a noisy taser could be useful but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Good old pepper spray works, sound of a taser or stun baton might help too

Its not a Century, is it? I'm unfamiliar with the gun laws in MD, but Century VZs are $500 guns. Czechpoint cost around a grand, and might be worth it.

I wish. 2 mags, which the LGS "blocked" when I purchased it so they can only hold 10 rd each. Like I said, I live in MD so I'll take what I can fucking get. Wanted to buy this b4 they get also banned by name.

I had that optic on my ak5c. I expended 3 rifles but only one optic.

Its bulky, ugly and the dot is 4 MOA's but its reliable as fuck and holds a zero.

10/10, would operate with.

So my uncle passed away (killed himself) and left behind a bunch of shit. Among the shit was some handguns. Split between my brothers and myself, one for each of us. I got a sig p229, it's fucking nice and the handgun that my uncle kept by his side at all times. The more I think about it, i want to sell it though. Something about keeping a handgun that belonged to a family member that i loved (that killed themselves) just doesn't seem right. I'd rather sell it and use the money to buy a handgun that i can learn and use myself. Better memory that way. So, here's my question:

>can i sell this mofo?

I live on the state line between the volunteer state and the state that has very lenient gun laws. My understanding is that in the volunteer state, you have to have a handgun registered. I know that in my state, you don't. Will i run into trouble trying to sell this gun in my state with very lenient gun laws? Surely a gun can't be registered to a dead guy, but then i'm in possession of an unregistered handgun. Confused.

pic related its the handgun in question. It's a great piece but i just don't want to keep it.

I wanna get a makarov pmm, tell me if there are better options or if the gun is shit and everyone just hypes it up. Also, what should I look for to make sure its not gonam need a bunch of replacement shit/gunsmithing right after I buy it? And finally, good price?

Picture unrelated.

You're not going to find a PMM, the PM however can be gotten for around 200-300 dollars, the highest i've seen was 550.. The best ones around are the East German ones but there really isn't a bad makarov so to speak. There is no external safety, it only holds 8+1 of the somewhat underpowered 9x18 round, and they actually aren't that bad for cc. There is also the P-64, a polish pistol that is vary similar, fires the same cartridge, and has an external safety however it holds 2 less bullets. Also i would recommend getting some aftermarket grips as well, and the sights aren't that good but they're not horrible.

Whats the most effective SHTF firearm someone in Northern NJ in the mountains can own? Basically the only requirements are 15 rounds, fixed stock, and no flash hider or silencer.

.308 or 5.56? 16, 18, or 20 inch barrel? Any accessories besides an optic? What optic and what magnification? Are 2 stage flip up magnification optics preferred?

In the market for my first rifle. Looking at the Sig MCX. I'm waiting for the price to drop to about $1500

Is there anything inherently wrong with this gun that I should consider? Reviews for it seem generally positive

everyones starter rifle should be a bolt action and if you have the money the type 99 arisaka is good if you can find 7.7 jap for it
>>
>>28347542
Just get a cheap starter AR-15 / AK variant and just build it up from there. My best gun is probably my first because I got some cheap $499 AR-15 and just started upgrading parts I felt need to be upgraded from triggers to barrels.
>>
>>28347581
>the type 99 arisaka is good if you can find 7.7 jap for it
I'm sure it is, but that's not even remotely the kind of gun I'm looking for.

I've shot bolt action before. Was on a varsity 22lr team in high school. Grew up in AK and hunted for moose with a .308. I'm comfortable with an AR15 / AK platform
