Looking to get a first pistol for concealed carry. Going to test out a glock 19, sw mp to start. What are some other good ones to look at? Or any other input?

Can you just lurk moar?

This is the 5th or 6th I've seen this question asked today and I've only been home for 2 hours
>>
If you're new enough to ask that question then I wouldn't get a glock. Might blow a hole in your leg during a draw with that trigger "safety"

Why are Surgeon Generals a military position?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jj64hC0IKmA

>Along with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Officer Corps, the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps is one of two uniformed services that consist only of commissioned officers and has no enlisted or warrant officer ranks, although warrant officers have been authorized for use within the service.[6] Officers of the PHS are classified as noncombatants, unless directed to serve as part of the armed forces by the President or detailed to a service branch of the armed forces.[

There are literally trillions of microscopic creatures that want to kill you and devour your flesh...

Why don't you take the bacterial threat seriously? What about viruses? The next plague or Spanish Flu could happen and one out of every two people you see would be dead
>>
The branches that you mentioned originally started as military organizations. The NOAA is a continuation of the Navy branch that did oceanographic mapping, and the PHS is a continuation of the medical corps that provided nurses and shit.

It's just a formality at this point.

Are you asking how to get the rust off, or is there more wrong with it?
>>
>>28345982
Just soak it for 24hrs then use a toothbrush on it.

Condolences and congrats.

>>28345990
Rust, minor pitting. But holy hell, will it look sexy when cleaned up. I never saw a polished SVT bolt like this before, just the plum.

Got my first sidearm as a christmas gift. (glock 22)

Im going to be taking my ccw class soon and am trying to find a holster for it.
As im quite new to handguns i have a few questions.
I dont see much love for shoulder holsters here, whats the reason?
Can anyone recommend a good holster for a g22 for an average built male?
(im 6ft3in and 200lbsjust over 200lbs)

And lastly post your glocks and holsters

Thanks in advance

Shoulder holsters are pretty niche, you have to be wearing a jacket and they are bulky. Comfy tho.

IWB:

Order an INCOG or Raven vanguard for appendix carry, Stealthgear for on/behind the hip.

OWB:

Raven phantom for kydex, galco for leather. bravo concealment seems well reviewed too.

There are other options but these will not disappoint.

Not to derail your thread,
But can anyone suggest a pistol for a fairly newbie. Ihave a bit Experience for a newbie. Guns are expensive here so if I buy one I have to use it for long.
Is glock 19 gen 4 any food?
Ah and I prefer 9mm
>>
>>28345943

So you probably haven't thought about this yet, but if you get a holster that goes on your belt, which I recommend, make sure you have a good, stiff belt. Emphasis on stiff. Stiff as a corpse. That distributes the weight across your hips, and makes it so the belt rests on your hips instead of digging into it. You also don't have to have your belt as tight because of this.

Anyway, you'll probably have a few holsters for different modes of dress. A decent owb paddle holster and a decent iwb tuckable holster, for example. I use a N82 tactical iwb holster, it's ok but I'd recommend something with 2 points of contact with your belt. I've heard good things about galco supertuck holsters.

Can someone explain to me exactly what a "stealth" aircraft can/cannot do?

I vaguely assumed it meant that it could not be detected by radar. However I now understand that ot just means it has a reduced radar return and IS visible to radar. In fact it is only a reduced signature against certain radars and from certain angles (ie head-on). Also even that advantage is lost if external weapons or fuel tanks are carried. Is this true?

Also, if stealth reduces a plane's radar return to that of a flock of birds, wouldn't enemy radar operators get suspicious about a flock of birds travelling at like 1000 mph? Could radars just be set to show everything travelling above a certain speed - say 100mph and detect aircraft that way?

>>
>>28345460
They reduce the range at which radars can track them and reduce the rcs a radar system may detect. It's that simple.
>>
>>28345460
I don't know that much about it, but here's my general understanding of it:

Radar sends out a signal which bounces off a surface and returns back to the origin. This works really well when planes have round, cylindrical bodies, because there's always at least a small portion where the aircraft body is exactly perpendicular to the origin of the signal.

When you make a super angular, blocky "stealth" plane, you're basically making a bunch of flat walls. It's like shooting your signal at the bumper on a pool table-- it's going to reflect your signal at an angle off into nothingness, rather than return it back to the radar operator.

And that's saying nothing about special paint or material schemes.
>>
>>28345487
Is it the same RCS from the side as from the front? It doesn't answer my question - even if the RCS is small it's still travelling too fast to be anything but a plane.

You're spending a lazy day at home, watching a 8/10 documentary on the Great War and shitposting on /k/. You couldn't be more cozy.

Just as you're getting ready to make a thread asking what AK you should buy, a droning wail startles you so badly, your 18" dragon dildo flies out of your ass and knocks out your cat.

I've got the cash to blow on it but can't find it anywhere. Can a /k/omrade point me in the right direction?

I also don't want to pay $900 for a special edition. Just want a run of the mill gun.
