Post your gun porn, I need something to make me happy. Also any of you want a empty pappy van winkle 20 year old bottle, it only has a few tear stains on it.

Dont know to much about the FBI but a DEA buddy of mine says the FBI are the biggest cucks. Guy said they call them "Fucking Bunch of Idiots"
I feel bad for the FBI agent in the rear security who had to pause his video game and run outside real quick in his t-shirt and he did not have time to throw a warm comfy cozy FBI parka on.

What are some good mags I should purchase. What was /k/ first 1911?
Get 10 cmp mags.
Dan Wesson Pointman is my first, I will probably get a MC Operator or TRP Operator next though.
For those of you who are unaware /pol/ has a few threads up about some gang-rape in New York City that happened a while ago. The basics of it are this:
>Father and 18 y/o daughter at park at night
>5 black men show up
>one goes up to the father, pulls out a gun and tells Dad to leave
>Father runs, comes back with police
>All five are gone, daughter is raped
You can check the source yourself.
http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/10/us/new-york-playground-gang-rape/index.html
What would you have done differently?
Now now I can already hear the words "b-but Anon, this is a /pol/ subject" ... Yes and one of the political points being made by people now is that carrying a firearm, open or concealed, on the daughter or the father, would have only made the situation worse. If nothing the assailants would have taken the firearm and used it against them. Somebody has said (without a source, of course) that you are statistically more likely to have that weapon used against you. Can somebody tell me if this is correct? I've heard something similar regarding the rape of Amanda Collins.
Pic related because they've also told Mrs. Collins that even without a gun she wouldn't stand a chance. Can you prove otherwise /k/?
>>28502862
Why would you ever go into a park, at night, in NYC?
Thats where the animals hide because its harder to catch them there
>>28502862
Pretend I'm John Wayne. One liners and all. Better than letting your daughter get raped or letting yourself get robbed.

1. Pull out your gun
2. 90% nig nogs just run
>so they can rape someone else defenseless
3. If they don't run, shoot the one nigger holding a gun
4. By now, the others would have run
Don't give me the bs that those four unarmed niggers would run up to you and karate chop you for your gun. They are not Bruce Lee, they prey on defenseless easy targets
>Hey, but what if you get shot?
Half the time, they don't even have bullets because they can't afford them, the other half of the time, they don't even know how to shoot properly because they can't afford to go to the range
What is your ammo of choice for your carry gun?
Hornady or Buffalo Bore

Just gonna talk about red dots because I'm bored
So you want to buy a red dot... Specifically an Aimpoint Micro-ish red dot? Well heres the run down of them all
>Bushnell TRS-25
The TRS-25 is a entry level red dot sight by Bushnell. It's actually a really well made sight that is well worth the money. It's not indestructible or bomb proof, but from sometimes as low as 50 fucking dollars, it's a great range toy
>Pros
-Decently made, may possibly fail on you but has Bushnell warranty
-Decent adjustment and clicks
-CHEAP
-CR2032 battery
-3 MOA dot is not too big, not too small
-Literally exactly what you expect from Bushnell
>Cons
-Has an irreplaceable screw mount, has to use riser to get co witness
-As a result of screw mount, no QD options
-Glass is super, super tinted blue
-No night vision compatibility, combination of brightness settings and tinted glass may make it harder to use in low light
-Battery life is kinda shit
-Basically a range toy only because of above issues
>>28502486
>Primary Arms
Primary Arms dots cover two different price points - a few in the cheap 80 dollar range, and a single the 160 dollar range.
The cheap 80 dollar sights have a lowered battery life, less durability and some have T-1 compatible mounts and one does not. They are activated by a turning dial similar to a T-1 micro and the placement can be on the side (T1 compatible mount), or the top (non changeable mount) which makes ambidex access super easy. Review the options for the cheap one, but really, the only one worth buying out of the two is the T-1 compatible
The Primary Arms advanced is roughly twice the price. It has improved battery life, improved durability, and is the Micro Red dot sight you see all the torture tests on. These are quality optics that basically win the range toy MVP award for the last few years. Brightness settings are adjusted with push buttons on top.
>Pros
-Well priced dots with a few options in mounting and switching methodology
-Youtube Approved testing and destruction, fairly durable optic given the price
-Crisp dot with crisp, clear glass.
-Battery life on the advanced dot that can rival Aimpoint, cheap options still get good battery life
-Makes you think its the quality of a T-1 Micro
-2032
-All Night Vision compatible
>Cons
-Is still not as durable as a T-1 Micro, despite what memes may lead you to believe
-Can easily google people who have had the red dot fail on them
-Warranty is amazing to the point where the owner of Primary Arms will come into your Arfcom thread and send you a return shipping label for free, but the fact you can find various examples of this across the internet means isn't really a good sign on the overall durability
-Confirmed OEM'd by Holosun by the owner of the company himself, which may or may not have a higher QC than Holosun, but may also share some of the same problems as Holosun
>>28502852
>Holosun
Holosun has a number of different T-1 Micro sights. Some have T-1 compatible mounts, some have Holosun only mounts. Some have solar power, some have push buttons on top. They all have the same model name basically, with only a change in a letter at the end. This is the first gripe you have with the Holosun dot - making sure you buy the right one. You really have to read what you are buying.
But lets say you didn't fuck up and bought the HS403G because you want the no bullshit dot at a reasonable price. What you will get is a T-1 style red dot with a crisp dot, clear glass and a fairly decent build all things considered. You get that 50,000 hour battery life and night vision compatibility as well as the ability to take any T-1 mount. If it's working it seems like a GREAT dot at a great value.
But you have posts on the internet with constant visibility of them failing. You have Canadian meme blogger TV-PressPass having the 3 Holosuns he interacted with suffering electronics failures at some point from the automatic turn on failing, to optics straight up dying. One of his mounts mushroomed under reasonable torque, although he is an idiot who didn't use locktite. Warranty work was great, but that is really the issue - A great warranty is a curse in and of itself because if you have a lot of people telling your their stories of how their warranty replacement was painless, it means you have a lot of stories of optics dying.
>>28503324
>Pros
-Basically a nice looking red dot that will also trick you into thinking it's a T-1 Micro
-Tons of potential features you can buy in the different sights, such as solar powered dots
-Basically most of the same pros as the Primary Arms, since they literally manufacture the Primary Arms dots
>Cons
-Somehow more expensive than the Primary Arms dots, and either has the exact same QC or worse craftsmanship as the Primary Arms dots
-The non T-1 mount Holosuns have the battery sealed in on the bottom of the unit between the optic and the mount, you will lose your zero every time you charge the battery and reapplying torque to small screws you can potentially strip when trying to ensure good battery seal
-Fairly visible issues with Holosuns online
-Complicated electronics that introduce more failure points, which make up a fair number of the complaints online, for features nobody really cares about
-Seriously, instead of spending the time making a solar paneled dot that can otherwise run for 3 years off a dollar store battery, just make one really good dot that is amazing
-In short, if you are going to buy a Holosun buy a Primary Arms instead
/k/,
I've always had an interest in explosives, but know that they're very frowned upon (especially in California). How do I get into blowing stuff up without breaking any laws? I haven't done any internet searches for stuff like "different types of explosives" or "how to make a bomb" for obvious reasons.
What are the laws like when it comes to blowing stuff up on BLM? On private land?
Also, 'sploders thread general.
>>28502301
Pyrotechnics or demolition would be my guess
>I haven't done any internet searches for stuff like "different types of explosives" or "how to make a bomb" for obvious reasons.
Why not? If you're here you're already on watchlists. Besides, any basic chemistry class already provides adequate information.
>>28502301
The laws are actually kind of restrictive on blowing up BLM protests.
How owuld you fight a war against an army like this?
Probably just stop watching
Nukes, chemical weapons, and a whole lotta BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTT.
I know it's 1987 anime land but they are doing shit wrong.

What would it take to invade the US?
Say, if some disgruntled south- and central american countries wanted to try and fuck up the U S of A, what would be the realistic minimum requirements to put up a fight?
Would all of the american militaries, save for canada, be able to throw punches at the US, or would they need assistance from some country like russia?
How and where would the war happen, what tactics would be used, what would it take?
Discuss
>>28501099
Nuclear armed countries don't get invaded.

All of the southron Americas, China, and Russia combined could not force the Rio Grande, even if nukes were magicked away by space elves.

Recently from work im able to get a respectable discount on a beretta 92FS. Why do people hate this gun so much? It doesnt feel or look bad and even the heavy trigger can be replaced.

Do they? People keep telling me to get one

I have a 92A1 and love it. Don't listen to the haters, its a fine gun.
>>28500822
Because it's big, even for a full-size pistol it's a handful. So some people will inevitably complain. There's really nothing wrong with the gun. Get one OP, unless you're a small-handed little bitch.
Is it bad that war movies inspire me to enlist?
Propaganda doesn't bother me, I just want to do something meaningful in my life.

war isnt meaninful
you likely wont even be in combat and even if you are then you arent valuable or memorable, you are a soldier
you will get thanks once you get back and then no one will give a shit about your service until veterans day and you will be thanked just out of politeness that day only

Arctic ice has receded enough that the northwest passage is open to shipping. Even with Russia's military resurgence and conflicting claims of sovereignty the Canadian Navy is essentially in disrepair.
NATO obligations aside, the US and Canada also dispute its sovereignty. So is America obliged to defend/patrol it?
>>28500222
No, their Canadian waters m8.
I have a little insight into this. During a residential school for a course i do i met a fellow who works for NATO in Norway. Basically he is part of the Royal Navy but works in some department that looks at future conflicts.
He told me this is going to be the next major one, there are already Chinese ships patrolling up there. Fact is this route is of huge economic importance being cheaper and quicker than the Suez canal. Everyone is going to want to control it so you can bet America will be there.
>>28500297
Didn't look at the image my bad, I'm talking about the passage north of Russia.
Good evening all,
I wanted to share my 20x102mm "destructive device" gun with the board, now that it is 100% completed. I made a post or two on here about it before when it was partially complete.
This is the second firearm I have have ever made that is 100% of my own design. While very simple, it is very large, and I think very well-constructed. I bought a barrel from an M61 vulcan gun off of gunbroker for $940 some time ago. I then submitted a Form 1 with the ATF to build a Title II "destructive device" gun, with the $200 tax paid of course. I built this thing up in about 3 or 4 month's worth of spare time in the gun shop. Everything was made from pieces of steel and tools bought off eBay. All the machinework was performed in a Grizzley G0509 lathe, and a G9901 mill. I suspect I have about $2500 total into this project, between the barrel, NFA tax, and tools. Not included in that figure is the ammo (not exactly cheap, or easy to find), or the tripod and T/E mechanism (which is borrowed from my semi 1919A4 rifle).
The N64 controller is the "remote control" to light off the gun. The cartridges use electric ignition, instead of percussion found in all small arms cartridges otherwise. It uses two CR123 volt batteries to feed a boost converter, that makes 300V DC that is stored in a flash photo capacitor. Pressing the L+R trigger buttons dumps that current into the primer.
