so, I'm kind of curious.
Is there anyone on here who has experience with a MG42/M53/MG3?
I'm talking about actually using it in training or in combat.
How did you like it?
>>29562191
Shits out rounds so fast i found it hard to qual at first. Takes some getting used to after the 240.
>>29562191
Haven't even't seen one myself, but I'm curious how the high cyclic rate affects lifetime durability, or if certain countries who use them modify the cyclic rate. Also curious as to how many countries who haven't adopted them for the infantry have a few of them as a gpmg on vehicles they have bought from Germany, or Spain, etc. (thinking polish Leo2s)

>Modernized MG42
i have 45 acres of land i have owned for the past couple years. there is a ~15 acre field that is a set back from the road in the woods. there is a path vehicles can get to it through the woods. it has been a long time party spot since past owners did nothing to stop the degenerates. i've busted up a couple high school kid parties. things seem to be getting worse. people are dumping trash rutting up the formerly picturesque field. it is extremely frustrating to say the least. so before i lose my shit and end up shooting someone, i need your help.
i want /k/'s thoughts and experiences in dealing with trespassers. greentext stories welcome. i also would like some ideas on what i should put on my no trespassing signs. something more then fuck off m80.
It depends on your state laws. In New Hampshire you can put up big POSTED signs on the trees warning that trespassers will be shot and then you're legally in the clear.
>grab double barrel shotgun
>step out on back porch
>fire 2 shots in the air
>>29562154
Block the road, put up a sign of private property (trespassers will be shot [if legal])
Just had a massive range day and really need to clean my rifles but i'm out of gun oil
what can I use to replace it? I have a whole heap of cooking oils and there is a hardware store just down the street which should have motor oils
nearest gun shop is nearly an hour away :/
>>29562144
I should clarify that I'm also out of motor oil
>>29562144
Go to Auto parts store and pick this up. Its works fucking great, and costs less than gun oil too.
Just use canola oil, OP.
I'm confused. Buying ammo online for my Walther PP in .32 ACP/7.65mm
But isn't 9mm luger a bit longer of a round than .32 ACP?
http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/ppu-32-auto-71-grain-fmj-50-rounds?a=1584518
Shit on me all you want, but just let me know that way I don't waste the money on ammo.
>>29562073
9mm is .357 caliber, while 32acp is .32 caliber. they ARE NOT interchangeable.
So don't buy 9mm.
It shoots .32 acp.
So just buy that instead of the 9mm in your picture.
>>29562073
No, the pressures are very different and the calibers are also different. 9mm is equivalent to a .38 caliber neck casing while .32 ACP goes close to an 8mm neck casing. Not to mention that the 2mm extra in 9mm won't fit in your magazines. Unless you want a mangles hand and shrapnel, keep it .32 ACP
I need a way to tighten my ar15 castle nut, I ordered an armorer's wrench like a month ago but it hasn't arrived. Anyone know any way to tighten it without one?
Put a punch or chisel in the slot and hammer it.
>>29562066
A decent strap wrench could do it.
Or you could take a piece of scrap metal and make an adapter.
Get one off amazon and have it one-day shipped.
what kind of optics best for AR10? Or any semi-auto .308, I'm interested in something red dot, was looking into the Aimpoint PRO. Opinions? Advice?
Torn between quick dot sighting or long range glass myself
I've used my 2moa PRO on an AR-15 out to 500yds, it worked great. If you set the brightness to a very faint setting, it's easy to aim very precisely.
I also have a T2, which has an even crisper dot, though I've only taken it out to 300yds.
Magnification is overrated; it's useful, but people use it unnecessarily. Especially when "parallax free" sights have a tremendous advantage.
>>29562006
To clarify I don't use a magnifier on the dots. Aimpoints are amazing general purpose sights.
Hey /k/
Whats the best way to make an M4 copy?
>>29561892
Buy a Colt 6920 with a M4 roll mark take the 16" barrel off and sell it and buy a 14.5" and pin and weld an extended flash hider on it.
or save a shit ton of money and build it yourself like i did
get an AR15
>>29561924
>building an m4 clone costs "a shitload"

Why aren't fighter subs a thing? Serious question.
>>29561806
No, this is not a serious question.
That thing looks like a concept from Star Citizen.
It happened today. half of the people flaked, but we still had fun.
>>29561641
was there,worth it.
should have taken a pic while i had my stuff thrown around.
My new sig feels unloved.
I hope all the attendees had fun.
I don't know when I'll do this again. We might want to start talking about who wants to go to nuggetfest in Virginia this June.
Bring BBQ next time.
How does /k/ long term store their ammo caches for SHTF situations?
Like storing things buried in the ground in locations you aren't going to check for several decades.
It's likely not as simple as putting things in an ammo can and burying them right?
Blast it with piss to prevent oxidation from the atmosphere

SHFT =living in a schadenfreude fantasy world.
Stock up if you find a sale.
Just keep a minimum of 200~250 for your rifle and 30~50 for your pistol.
>>29561690
>Government confiscation or a potential civil war is a fantasy
>keep only 200-250 rounds
Government shill pls go
It won't work

You're missing one or two muzzle bearings, can't tell from these angles how many.
>WW3 will never happen
>I'll never have a reason to join the military
>all i'd get to do is fight gay, boring battles against stupid sand niggers in iraq in a stupid desert
>tfw germany wont pull a fast one and try to take over europe again
>tfw USA wont fight russia in full scale war over a dispute over territories
>tfw Japan wont fight North Korea and we're forced to help and then China is forced to help NK
>tfw Canada wont chimp out in a border skirmish and attack the US
>tfw Iceland wont go for sweden
Why even live. If nothing happens in the next two years enabling me to fight someone, I'm offing myself.
Someone give me hope that a conflict will occur
Perhaps if you'd ever been in a gunfight you wouldn't be so keen for another you edgy little cunt.
>>29561418
I actually was in a gang in HS and college, and was in two gunfights before. I'm over it
>>29561437
Underaged faggot spic detected.
Gtfo
Is he a shill?
>>29561361
I think a better question is. Is OP a fucking faggot?
When you have to get companies to send you their products in order for your channel to exist, you would shill as well.
>>29561361
He was at one point. It was just another thing that completely destroyed any perceptions of objectivity he might have had. I don't even watch him any more since he's spewed so much bullshit I don't trust anything he says.
People shit on Nuttin while praising MAC but you know what, Nuttins word is usually good. It's autistic, long-winded, obnoxious word. But it's good word.
How do you guys not get all kinds of crazy parallax with these vortex scopes?!
I can hold the rifle perfectly still and any movement of the head at all puts the crosshairs over a different spot.
I don't see how anyone can get a consistent enough cheek weld to get even close to 1 moa with this crap?
>>29561341
Bump, and too clarify, I get better groups with a $90 wal-mart red dot than I've been able to get with this 4x scope. That makes no sense to me. I see people with this set up all the time and they seem to like it?
I emailed vortex and their response was basically, "Buy scope rings from us to try out. Most people don't have an issue with the height."
So are most people just happy with 5+ moa at the range or am I just really missing something?
One guy aid he puts his nose on the charging handle. How does that even work? My face is much farther back.
Did you buy a real one or a shitty Chinese knockoff?
And yes, nose to charging handle is normal if you're not wearing armor and striving for accuracy.
>>29561341
>>29561891
No seriously, how do you accurately shoot a set up like this.
Not me pictured by the way but close enough to same situation.
Where were you when the future of armor arrived?
>super light metal foam
>1 inch stops 7.62x31 AP round with 8mm of deformation on back
>relatively cheap to produce with industrial machinery
My body is ready /k/
Is yours?
http://www.businessinsider.com/metal-foam-can-stop-an-armor-piercing-bullet-2016-4?op=1
>>29561175
7.62x63 is 30-06 for those of you accustomed to freedom units. This is some really interesting stuff if it pans out, I wonder if you could make some sort of suit with 100% coverage
>>29561797
Probably wouldn't be too hard to go full plate. At the least center mass+head are gonna be pretty much safe from anything smaller than .338 Lapua, since you know they'll have more than an inch worth of the stuff on.
>>29561175
what sort of trickery is this? Is the foam pressurized or something?
