The New Kingdom of Egypt ruled over them, but when they collapsed the Nubians took over in Egypt for a while before being kicked out by the Assyrians. Then they withdrew back into Nubia where they flourished at Napata and Meroe until about 300 AD, after which they collapsed and were replaced by Christian kingdoms, the most powerful being Makuria. They fended off the Arabs a few times before being Islamized around the 13th century and falling under Egyptian/Ottoman/British control. The Meroitic Kings of Kush initially had friendly relations with Ptolemaic Egypt. King Arqamani (Ergamenes) of Meroë was apparently a huge Hellenophile and contributed to some monuments in Philae, while Ptolemy IV financed additions to some of Meroë's temples and other buildings. However relations soured after the Kushites were accused of supporting Ankhmakis' revolt near Thebes (the records are a bit fuzzy), and Ptolemy IV launched an invasion of Kush. He was soundly defeated and several cities along the Nile were occupied by the Kushites during the counter-invasion.Meroë remained a major city for several centuries, and after a war or two developed a mutually beneficial relationship with the Roman Empire.

However, by the 4th century AD Abyssinia had risen as a major power the region, and the Christian king Ezana of Abyssinia invaded Meroe and dismantled the Kushitic kingdom.

Here's my honest opinion of Jewish people; they're an entire race of idiot savants. Jews are obviously very intelligent but they are completely autistic when it comes to dealing with other races. Things like banking and accounting are perfect examples of how the Jewish brain works; they require impressive computational analysis but are relatively useless skills from a "practical" perspective. Of course, banking and accounting have become ingrained components of our society (coincidence?) so we need Jews around to maintain the massive economy that we have created.

However, it is good to constantly remind Jews that there will be consequences if they do not keep their autism in check because as smart as Jews are, they suck at fighting and need other races to do it for them. It's good to have the Jews on your side because they're so smart but you have to remind them who's boss so they don't let their innate sneakiness lead them to do something that they'll later regret; like killing Jesus Christ for example. Once you understand the Jew's innate autism you no longer hate them, you pity them because you realize that they really can't help themselves for being Jews, they're born with it. Once you understand that a Jew will always be a Jew, you learn to accept it and plan around it and make use of their talents.

I have recently played the WW1 podcast by Carlin and was surprised to find a bunch of mistakes in it, minor(-ish) but like quite a few in just the first half an hour or an hour or whatever about the start of WW1 and Princip etc. Like sequence of events, number of people involved, repeating debunked myths (about minor stuff). It was not "podcast-breaking" but it was something rather basic which you would expect from a "Not A Historian (tm) Just A Fan Of History". Made me sort of wary about the rest of his work.
