I chose pantheism since it was the closest, though not a perfect fit.

Atheism doesn't actually make sense. We can acknowledge the existence of gods — gods exist like good and evil do. It is relative, but relativity does not disprove its existence, rather it proves the complexity of its existence. God is a symbol of our language that has a powerful meaning — it means that which you deem to have unbeatable power.

>Were you born into your religion

I don't have a religion, just a philosophy. I don't need tenets to dictate my spirituality. My mother is Protestant and my father closest resembles an atheist Luciferian, for whatever that's worth. I was never told to believe anything. I was barely given a basic discipline to follow while growing up. I formed my own based on what life needed from me and from what I wanted.

What the hell?

Why were all European monarchs related? Is it a huge conspiracy, the result of eugenics and selective breeding or superior genes which coincidentally came out in all countries as dominant?

No wonder communism was so popular. Monarchy is a joke.

Why were Japanese soldiers so brave and honorable as fuck? I don't care that they massacred Chinks at Nanking but they never ran away and always foight to the end.

Take the last note of Tadamichi Kuribayashi for example:

>The battle is entering its final chapter. Since the enemy's landing, the gallant fighting of the men under my command has been such that even the gods would weep. In particular, I humbly rejoice in the fact that they have continued to fight bravely though utterly empty-handed and ill-equipped against a land, sea, and air attack of a material superiority such as surpasses the imagination. One after another they are falling in the ceaseless and ferocious attacks of the enemy. For this reason, the situation has arisen whereby I must disappoint your expectations and yield this important place to the hands of the enemy. With humility and sincerity, I offer my repeated apologies. Our ammunition is gone and our water dried up. Now is the time for us to make the final counterattack and fight gallantly, conscious of the Emperor's favor, not begrudging our efforts though they turn our bones to powder and pulverize our bodies. I believe that until the island is recaptured, the Emperor's domain will be eternally insecure. I therefore swear that even when I have become a ghost I shall look forward to turning the defeat of the Imperial Army to victory. I stand now at the beginning of the end. At the same time as revealing my inmost feelings, I pray earnestly for the unfailing victory and security of the Empire. Farewell for all eternity."

Also composed some death poems.

>Unable to complete this heavy task for our country

>Arrows and bullets all spent, so sad we fall.

>But unless I smite the enemy,

>My body cannot rot in the field. Yea, I shall be born again seven times And grasp the sword in my hand.

>When ugly weeds cover this island,

>My sole thought shall be the Imperial Land.

He knew he was fighting a futile battle but he never surrendered and he died fighting with his men. He was poorly equipped against a far superior force but never gave up.

>The exact circumstances of Kuribayashi's death remain mysterious. He was most likely killed in action on the early morning of 26 March 1945, while leading his surviving soldiers in a three-pronged assault against sleeping Marines and Air Force ground crews. Kuribayashi and his men silently slashed tents, bayoneted sleeping men, and lobbed hand grenades. According to the official United States Marine Corps History, "The Japanese attack on the early morning of March 26th was not a banzai charge, but an excellent plan aiming to cause maximum confusion and destruction."[23] The assault climaxed in a hand-to-hand battle to the death between the men of both armies. The General's body could not be identified afterwards for he had removed all officer's insignia in order to fight as a regular soldier.

Because when you're fighting on a bunch of islands against an enemy with total naval supremacy, there's nowhere to go.

They sure as fuck ran away and surrendered in places like Manchuria, and against the odd successful Chinese offensive.
>>
Everybody knew that nobody was taking prisoners alive at that point. What few prisoners the u.s. took in the pacific were usually just shot because they didnt treat the beitish well and they were afraid of tricks.

Paying soldiers who captured enemies with ice cream increased survival rates of japanese soldiers from 1/100 to 1/7

>An osteological analysis of the young man from Byrsa, or Ariche, as he has become known, determined that he was approximately 1.7 m tall and aged between 19 and 24 years, and a craniometric analysis indicated likely Mediterranean/European ancestry as opposed to African or Asian [5, 6]. A full reconstruction of the young man was undertaken and this was part of an international exhibition organized by the National Heritage Institute of Tunis and the Carthage Museum. In 2014 the skeletal remains of the young man from Byrsa and accompanying exhibition were taken to the Archaeological Museum of the American University of Beirut where we were allowed to remove small bone samples for ancient DNA analyses to identify the origins of the young man and shed light on the genetic ancestry of the ancient Phoenicians of Carthage.

http://archive.is/6uYFx
>The study found that the Y-Chromosome of the famous “’Young Man of Byrsa,” was an extremely rare—and exclusively European marker—and that this is likely the result of extensive admixture with Europeans.

http://archive.is/62VBS
>Analysis shows that the man belonged to a rare European haplogroup – a genetic group with a common ancestor – indicating that his maternal ancestry is linked to locations on the North Mediterranean coast, probably on the Iberian Peninsula.

He committed many horrible acts but was actually a great ruler. He expanded Russia by conquering several steppe khanates and transitioned Russia from a kingdom to an empire as the first tsar. He probably deserves the moniker for incidents like the Massacre of Novgorod, killing his son, and his policy of purging nobles, but he set Russia on a path for greater power.

The more men a woman has fucked the likelier it is she is promiscuous and she will go fuck someone else outside your partnership, leading to you risking having too raise someone else's offspring.
I think.
>>
>>1255416
This also means women should avoid promiscuous men. A promiscuous man is more likely to father children outside of the relationship which could drain attention and resources away from your children.

The Tsar Bomba was detonated 55 years ago, and had the power to raze entire cities with a radius of nearly 50 miles. They didn't even test the most powerful Tsar Bomba (100 megatons) but instead tested one half the strength, for fear of any ramifications of such a huge blast.

How much have our weapons of mass destruction evolved over the past 55 years, and what kind of implications does this have if World War III were to break out? Would nukes immediately be the go-to tactic instead of boots on the ground?

nuclear yields haven't changed since the 70's.
hell, I'm pretty sure most of our missiles are from the 70's, which is why we've started a nuclear missile replacement program.
there's also the B61 tactical nuclear bomb, also quite old by now, that baby can be dropped from F-16's, and soon the F-35.

Drugs directly harm your property (your body) while making you lose money, which is also your property.

A woman that sleeps around has a low marriage value because people perceive she cannot settle into the role of motherhood. This means no children. Children are the best shot at preserving a part of your ego and someone to give your propety to when you die.

Start thinking about things egoistically and it actually starts making a lot of sense that you wouldn't destroy your life for a few cheap thrills.

After reading some Illida I found it strange how after being killed the body of the dead soldier was so quickly looted of weapons and armor. Were people really so keen on looting the bodies of enemies quickly on site or is the Illiad not a credible source for such things.

Yes, basically. By the later middle ages there's specific rules in place governing when and where to loot and who gets a share.
>>
People really have way too romantic view of warfare. Arms and armor were expensive more and more the further back in time you go. And the Trojan war was during the bronze age and bronze was expensive as hell since you had to trade to make it.
