was Adam the greatest idiot? he could have eaten from the Tree of Immortality. God didn't even prohibit him from becoming immortal until after he ate from the other Tree. Also why was Eves eyes opened only after Adam ate the apple?
>>1380238
It didn't happen so it doesn't matter lmao
>>1380238
Apple? Where does it say it was an apple?
>>1380244
okay I mentioned it was a fruit like 5 times but an apple is used to represent it
You're asleep...
Then you're told that you have one wish to either wake up as you currently are or go back through time and become a new man, a new life, new people, friends, loves, professions, a new life.
Where do you go? What time period? What would you do/be?
>Rules: You can't be a Royal or go back before the birth of Civilization

What a boring wish. I stay as I am.

Also I use my knowledge of 4chan jokes from the future to namefag it up while remaining way ahead in the banter game. I'll literally be roasting you kids at the age of 15, but with mental age of a 35 year old.

I may be some sort of contrarian with this, but didn't his treaty of Berlin forever alienate Russia from Germany?
If "every dog has his day" can we say that one day pic related will be the center of world civilization, economy and science?

It has had its day.
Why is it so important to have this thread every day? What do you think you're """"teaching"""" us? If I say "NO BECAUSE NIGGERS" right away, will you leave?
>>1379592
They can barely keep themselves together because of famine, war and disease. The only reason niggers don't start dropping like flies tomorrow is because of the massive aid they are given by developed countries.

God probably isn't real. Now stop worrying and just enjoy your life.
>>1380186
>probably
You can even say the people who post on here probably aren't real either because you can't see them or get scientific evidence that they exist.
What is interesting though is that the eternal truths are always lasting in every generation, but even things like the world and the cosmos will themself disintegrate into someone else.

Wew lad, I guess it's settled now
The peace movement during the Vietnam war is a prime example of the effectiveness of altruism. Through pacifism and good-will ideology, the movement appease the majority and render North Vietnam a political victory over the US.
What are some major historical events where moral righteousness turn the tide of the circumstances? How will modern value can be used to affect future conflicts, and what are some other ways it can be exploited?

while that is true and not necessary real. The concept of salvation is still alive in through civilization.

>What are some major historical events where moral righteousness turn the tide of the circumstances?
The 1st Islamic invasion of Europe, with the victory of the Christians in the 1st Crusade, is the only one that comes to mind.

What does that have to do with altruism?

I feel for William and the other one.
No one should lose their mother that early. And her being the most famous person of the decade didn't help either.
Could you imagine all the question they get asked about her on a daily basis?
I find it amusing that the media were all over her for being an adulterous whore, then as soon as she died they treated it as the worst tragedy ever.
I don't know if it's because I was too young to remember before their marriage failed, but I never understood the fuss.
Are conditions and diagnoses like social anxiety real?
>>1379068
Define real.
Also anxiety is a physiological reaction, not a behavior, so your picture is retarded.
>>1379068
Your pic is a behavioral paradigm, so it's literally an opinion.
And of course they're real (without going into existentialism) as they can be measured through brain chemicals and activities.
However, there's a recent emphasis on culture in psych, so what's a real problem in one society is not in another.
>>1379068
Depends what you mean by "real."
This is a huge problem in both psychiatry and philosophy of the mind, alongside the lack of concrete definitions of what we mean by "mental" and "disorder."
The only thing everyone seems to agree on at the moment is that the current method based on the DSM is arbitrary crap.
Does anyone have a link to the red flower thread? It had some really good stuff but I can't find it in the archive.

Was there something inherent in Latin societies that made it easier for Rome to conquer it's empire. Did they have a more efficient in its agricultural system, or was it a more martial culture. If Rome hadn't risen to its great heights could another Latin city do the same. What I am asking is the system that Rome set up unique to itself or were there similar cities in the area that would have risen had Rome not absorbed.

Add to that public support and the resources at hand, and I agree. (Do not feel it is necessary to say why)
>>1378808
Military conflicts tend to be decided on who can bring more resources to the area of conflict for an extended period of time. If I can bring ten times as many men I can lose twice as many men as you and still be very successful.

What's a good introductory overview of the Roman empire that isn't fucklong?
Pic related has been getting great acclaim, but it stops around Caracalla.

Veni.Vidi.Vici by Peter Jones is a very basic overview of the Roman Empire until the separation. Chapters are about a page each and the whole things is about 300 pages.
It's pretty basic so read it and then buy more books on more specific topics, e.g. Caesar in Gaul or the Punic wars

History of Rome podcast is pretty good, it's a relatively long series but each episode is only 30 minutes.
