I haven't posted here since /his/ first started. Nice to see that it hasn't turned into /pol/ 2.0 against all expectations. I'm amazed to be honest.
Err to keep this on topic and avoid a ban why is it that in 1870 blacks were allowed to vote in South Africa but in 1970 they weren't?

different country, and different people
Question for people who know about SA. What about the considerable minorities of indians malays and mixed/colored people. were they allowed to vote?

Welcome to the Salty Spitoon, how Übermensch are you?
I'm not.
>>1395047
I'm not either
I'm so ubermensch I'm going to notify my state's civil rights commission and get this place shut down for racial discrimination.

What did they mean by this?

God and my right
Crusoe that shit next time
Also, does a monarchy cost or create money?
>>1395045
The mints (owned by the monarchy) create money, the monarchy collects money to fund the military and all other things they own. And themselves obviously.
Why did Amedeo Avogadro look like such an ayylmao?

Will they be looked at with reverence, in the same strain of Persia, China and Rome? Or with the controversial distaste of the Ottomans? Or will they be remembered as a footnote when they're stomped out of their meagre 400 year existence

What revenge in history was the best and why was it of that of Ivan The Terrible towards the boyars?

Remember this one time when governor seized it and killed the traders from Genghis Khan.
What were some of the inspirations for the many "boogeymen" whose stories are told to children? Is it just something the parents made up, or could it have been passed down through the generations?
> Popobawa most feared nocturnal sexual assault is sodomizing of adult men.
> Victims are often urged to tell others that they have been assaulted, and are threatened with repeat visits by Popobawa if they do not.
Basically one guy raped another and tell victim to spread the word.

Post only classic and classic revival architecture. No kitsch or modern constructions here.

Why should I care about others? I don't feel their pain or experience their emotions. For all I know they're merely automatons, or just creations of my own delusional mind!

once you understand that men are not meant to be as good hedonist as women, you first acknowledge the superiority of women at the hedonistic life (which is just called life by men and women) and you see the misery of hedonism, either the direct hedonism of the woman, or the nihilistic fantasy of the delayed hedonism [hedonism of the will] of the man [the one that men advocate for, the one about engaging yourself into challenges after challenges, seeking merit, pursuing your passions, in one word still clinging to entertainment (typically to attract women sooner or later) to better turn away from their impotency at the hedonistic life..] created by men once they get beat by women.
Once you see the game as well as the noneffective masculine life, you lose faith in hedonism. At this point, you either see the solution or not {Nietzsche did not see it, or rather he did not claim explicitly that he saw it]: you strive to do the exact opposite of hedonism (either the masculine one or the feminine one): first you stop being nihilistic, in accepting what you are (it is crucial to be sincere about the starting point], meaning a worm, and in stopping to analyze the past to get a better future (= the strategy of men, which remains inside hedonism (even though they claim that it is not, and in practice is is clearly not), but even more nihilistic than the feminine hedonism, once they are beaten by women] and in stopping to take what you desire, feel and think seriously [=the hedonism of the woman, and the fueling of this hedonism by men].
>>1393698
Women are wrong for having faith in what they desire, in thinking that this is relevant to ones life
they are a bit wrong to let men spend their life trying to serve women.
Men are wrong to try to play with women, which is just serving women
men are wrong, after being defeated, to be resentful towards women
men are wrong to think, after being defeated, that the solution is to be even more nihilistic than women in dwelling in hedonism of the will
The lack of efficacy of the masculine life leads to a narcissism (contrary to men), but without egotism (contrary to women), a more equanimous and benevolent stance towards what is desired, felt and thought. At this point, you stop looking at hedonism of the body [=the feminine hedonism], turn towards hedonism of the soul [what religious call it], spirit, consciousness [what buddhists call it] [=the hedonism of the mild ascetic, the hedonism that most men fail to see and the one that women love to think that they embody (women love to think that they are not as egotistic as they are, that they embody a humanist stance)] and then you understand that even this is doomed to be disappointing, so you refuse it until you stop caring about this one too.

why is half this board just thinly-veiled /pol/ teenagers asking the same tedious questions about Byzantium and The Crusades over and over and over
i think we just need a sticky at this point. have a section for that stuff, and then a section for the nazis, maybe a section for the american civil war. it'll cut down on the repeat threads.
>>1392596
Because none of you fucktards ask anything that isnt European history.
We definitely should put together a reading list for common topics
>>1392604
It's not worth it. The people making those threads are doing so because they want to hear particular answers. When we bore them with how complex and nuanced history tends to be, they tend to get combative. If we have a sticky or reading list or whatever, the current repeated threads will just be replaced with kids sperging out over our choices of what to put in there.
It's just no use. This is a website full of neckbeards, teens, a lot of people currently swept up in ethnic nationalism and kneejerk anti-atheism, etc. If you don't like it, go somewhere else to discuss history or whatever other topic you wanted. It's a lot less trouble than trying to change the culture of this place.

Evil is just the absence of God. Sin is acting according to the absence instead of the fullness of God's goodness.
