>mfw William of Orange's last words were in French

The absolute state of the Dutch people

England has an excuse for this kind of shit as the French conquered and colonized them, but the Netherlands and Russia have no excuse for William and Catherine speaking French more often than Dutch and Russian

"Frederick" the """"""Great""""" also basically used French as his first language. An absolute disgrace.

Tell me /his/, why did former Spanish colonies separated into the so many states? Why didnt they made 1-3 superstates like Portugese did in Brazil? Or on the other hand, why isnt Brazil separated into the several other states?

- comercial rivalries between cities/regions
- provinces like Chile and Paraguay already had a strong identity in colonial times

How the fuck did Napoleon with the shit France was at the time, accomplish a series of military campaigns and making France the most powerful nation in Europe at the time, surpassing all enemy alliances and creating a powerful system of alliances kings wouldn't even think of? Asking for me, an ignorant and blue-pilled spaniard.

French butthurt, money seized from the monasteries and émigrés, national fear for survival.

Because feudal states and empires couldn't manage to put up enough manpower and military force against a well-trained and disciplined state army. France also had the numbers due to their forced conscription (levée en masse)

Because at first Britain didn't take Napoleon seriously because, after all, who would take a Frenchman seriously? However they soon realised he needed to be destroyed so they did.

So what was the purpose of this?

Nazi mythology larping as far as i can tell. Probably mostly just fueling their Aryan origin myth. Didn't Himmler himself lament the fact that they only found pot shards and shit from the supposed proto master race?

What do you think would've would have happened if Hitler freed the trapped soldiers at Stalingrad. Would it have resulted in a Nazi victory ?, or Hitler would have been defeated either way?

The Germans would still very likely lose all their gains from Case Blue, and their strategic situation would not be much better really.
Paulus was a prick for not surrendering Stalingrad when relief was clearly not coming. Instead he doomed all his men.
The bicameral brain.

What do you guys think of this idea? It posits that right hemisphere talks to left hemisphere. I've been reading a bit on literacy and orality. It argued that the bicameral brain is an oral residue from when we were purely oral cultures. Each form of communication has different consciousnesses.

No one can answer that question for you.

You have to listen to yourself
>>
>>3330236
Ironically, only stupid people believe this idea.
>>
>>3330236

Truly retarded. Among the many problems with it are the fact that all humans, globally, must have undergone this "collapse" from bicameralism at the same time, with no proposed mechanism for this to happen. There has NEVER been a tribe found that is bicameral, no matter how primitive and isolated they might be. There other main problem with it is that it's gibberish even on its own standards, go read the Epic of Gilgamesh and see for yourself that ancient people were perfectly capable of reflection and weren't all schizophrenics.

Alien Space Bats use their powers to tweak chemistry a bit so that gunpowder can’t be developed - what happens next?

European armor was already becoming more and more extensive and effective prior to the development of firearms, as technology and economics allowed for the expanded use of plate armor by more troops, leaving bows / crossbows ineffective except against horses and unarmored or light (chainmail) armored support troops.

With no guns, the traditional fully armored “medieval knight” becomes an unstoppable force, except by another armored knight in hand-to-hand combat.

I don't disagree with you. Isn't it shown that most hunter gatherer societies only spend about 1-2 hours hunting and gathering per day, leaving the rest of their time up for whatever they feel like doing?
>>
>>3336702
Compared to 100 hours a week during the industrial revolution.
Right now, I know a place where I could dip a couple of fish that I could cook and eat, and I know where there's wild plants to eat. I couldn't starve even if I wanted to. All this extra work isn't necessary.

I want to have this debate with you, you seem learned on the subject given your name and what you just told me about being fairly /out/. Allow me to play the devil's advocate then:
Are you saying humans shouldn't [have] learned all the things we have from just trying out new things, from agriculture to trade to writing and maths and sciences and arts? If we had not the time to focus on things that made our hearts and minds soar instead of basically eating and napping under a local tree all day, yes, we wouldn't have such a chokehold over Gaia as a species , but would we be as happy? I suppose you could argue that we could all become Buddhists and learn to live without judgement in the now, and all be peaceful and in tune with nature, but you know this wouldn't work. Some guy would get bored and start stacking rocks, and thus, civilization has sprung up again! You can never fully uproot our very human drive to manipulate the world around us (given what we have on the ends of our arms, manipulators known as hands).

OP, I'm curious. How would you get the whole world to become as you are? How could we turn the world around again to a more simple life?

Things kinds changed after Paul and Christianity became more global. Not gentiles could believe Christianity.

Any information helps. I'm just tying to learn how it was practiced before the Church became a political force because it obviously became gradually more corrupted through time when it did.

We know very little about the first century.
Around 150 AD the first Divine Liturgy (or Mass if you will) was codified by Justin the Martyr.

From this liturgy later both Eastern en Western liturgies were developed.
By that I mean the Mass in the West, and Divine Liturgy in the East.
