Hopefully it will be popular and a viable alternative to dx12, sadly only on windows 10. Would be nice if Vulkan would actually (meaning for real this time) make it possible to play most games on Linux.

Why should I use GNU + Linux?
I use my ChinkPad for
>browsing online
>programming (specifically for FIRST robotics)
>light gayming
>audio/video playback
As of right now I use Windows, and always have religiously. I can't see myself learning how to utilize GNU + Linux, it seems very daunting.

Depends on what games, several are payable in wine. Linux will offer you lower overhead and makes use of disk caching to ram (so it'll be slightly faster overall). Nvidia has decent support. Don't bother with ati.
Download the server version and install the desktop over it, there's less packaged stuff that way.

The bugs are ridiculous. Now even vista was this bad. I think people don't talk about it because consumers are so used to software being broken these days. The only defense is "at least its not windows" except window isn't even this bad.

Air is cheaper than water and the very best air cooler will cool about as good as the mid range to low end AIO (liquid) coolers. The Cryrorig h7/h5 and cooler master hyper 212 evo are cheap and effective air coolers.
Also computers are for nerds go outside.

seconding this, but go with the h7. it outperforms the hyper 212 in just about every way and costs only $10 more iirc

For future reference, those of us who have internet access (you) can usually search things like "best cpu air cooler" or "best AIO cpu cooler" you'll get a bunch of results from toms hardware and a bunch of other bullshit review sites and should be able to make your own opinions on what works for you.
