I'm too stupid to use linux

Sup, /g/? I recently factory reset my computer and it's been running fine until recently.

I've been playing Bioshock Infinite and it keeps minimizing itself without me pressing anything. Every time it does I see an empty Window popup for an instant and then it disappears.

It's happened even when I'm not playing.

I can never get a good look at this Window.

I've read it could be anything from Malware, to Microsoft Updates fucking up to the Command Prompt (for some reason).

How do I find out what this shit is? I feel like I'd have to find out what processes ran and when, but I'm running Windows on this laptop and I don't think it has such a functionality.

I've also run WD scans and MalBytes scans and they turn up nothing.

>tl;dr Weird, empty window pops up every so often in my computer screen. It interrupts my vidya. I'm getting tired/creeped out by it. How do I find out what it is?

This isn't actually video game related.

I mean... It involves it? But it's a computer problem.

Read the sticky crossboarding faggot. Then reinstall Windows, install some retard-proof firewall and antivirus and crawl your ass back to /v/.

Do I need to uninstall my old video card drivers before installing a new card? I put in a new card without uninstalling the old drivers and I got a black screen with the new card. It wouldn't detect a display. Old card is 6870, new is GTX 1060.
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
When you start the computer, is the display black or can you see BIOS and Windows booting?
>>
>>60213060
It was just a black screen with no text. The monitor was on but there was no picture at all. I put old card back in and it worked fine. Also the only other change was putting in some new sticks of RAM but I didn't think that could affect it. I bought the same exact sticks but I dunno.
>>
OP here, I uninstalled the old drivers and it worked now. Must have been the issue.

How do I circumvent this horse shit?

Welcome!
It looks like you're using an ad blocker. That's okay. Who doesn't?
But without advertising-income, we can't keep making this site awesome.

Site is https://archiveofsins.com/soc/ with JewBlock Origin

Use NoScript.
>>
>>60212890
Disable scripts. You don't need NoScript – uBlock Origin can take care of this.
https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/Dynamic-filtering:-quick-guide
>>
You can do even better than blocking scripts.
Install greasemonkey.
Google 'anti-adblock killer'
Follow their instructions

>A team of researchers from the Brunswick Technical University in Germany has discovered an alarming number of Android applications that employ ultrasonic tracking beacons to track users and their nearby environment.

>Their research paper focused on the technology of ultrasound cross-device tracking (uXDT) that became very popular in the last three years.

>uXDT is the practice of advertisers hiding ultrasounds in their ads. When the ad plays on a TV or radio, or some ad code runs on a mobile or computer, it emits ultrasounds that are picked up by the microphone of nearby laptops, desktops, tablets or smartphones.

>SDKs embedded in apps installed on those devices relay the beacon back to the online advertiser, who then knows that the user of TV "x" is also the owner of smartphone "Y" and links their two previous advertising profiles together, creating a broader picture of the user's interests, device portfolio, home, and even family members.

There is nothing wrong with using WebP. In fact, I find it to be a good thing that there is now a widespread image format that has the option of using lossy compression with transparency.

JPG uses lossy compression, but no transparency support. PNG has transparency support, but it's lossless compression isn't good for every kind of image.
