Anti-piracy forces are winning, aren't they?
>>
>>60212847
Only the biggest, centralized targets. Decentralization is the future, centralization was a mistake.

>>60212917
>>
>>60212949
they'll take that site down too
>>
>>60212888
I wouldn't go that far. It worked for a while, but now it's time to move on to something better.
>>
>>60212888

Embrace GNUnet

nyaa just lost its domain registration. It'll be back eventually

>the pirate bay is gone, it will never come back
>it has
>kat is gone, it will never come back
>it has
notice the pattern?
>>
I secretly hope the direct download hype starts again. I'm too chicken to torrent.
>>
>>60213703
No he removed it himself due to the new eu regulations.
>>
>>60214132
>eu regulations
what a shitty excuse
>>
This is the future that awaits us. If you aren't yet hoarding shit on encrypted drives start doing this asap. I have a feeling that it will get exponentially harder to get access to anything. Internet in general is already pure cancer and with massive amount of normalfags it can only get worse.
>>
Someone posted this in the nyaa thread

Use SoulSeekqt it's a fucking godsend
>>
reminder to buy ethereum, nyaa will be resurrected over there
>>
>>60214194
Last I heard it was UK regulations, and someone forgot they're not in the EU anymore and panicked. Apparently the regulations had more to do with hardware, like Kodi.
>>
>tfw I buy everything anyway
I just like having stuff
>>
>>60214415
Also applies to torrent users and streamers as well I've heard. Could be wrong though.

Either way fuck them all.
>>
Piratebay and sub public tracker never dies
Rutracker never dies
Emule is unironically still works

WE WILL LEFT

Where do i get jav torrents now?
>>
>>60213994
>too chicken to torrent

Why? Direct downloading is just as incriminating, its not safer than torrenting.
>>
>>60213552
>becoming a mule for CP trafficking
No thanks
>>
Gnunet
Onion
I2p
>>
>>60212847
Nyaa killed it himself because he got spooked, not actually because they forced him to take it down. Sounds similar but not the same.
>>
>>60212847

For every pirate ship they sink, they create three submarines.
>>
Whats a good palce for ebook torrents?
>>
>>60216215
The answer is and will always be libgen
>>
>>60216153
But they've started depth charging submarines
>>
>>60216566

>started destroying the enviroment, killing off thousands of fish per each miss

Sounds about right.
>>
So whats the best animu site now
>>
>>60216699
Horrible subs, torrenting is dying xdcc is the future. "Too leet (eurgh)" for normies too so unlikely to get taken down
>>
>>60216739
at this rate of regression we'll be back on usenet in no time
>>
you're all worrying about anime, what about manga? I don't know what i'd do if madokami went down. is anyone securing back ups?
>>
>>60214223
Please don't go recommending my favourite way to get obscure music to any bumblefuck all over the internet. Heaven forbid it becomes mainstream and they go after that too.

>>60214415
The guy's a swede living in sweden
>>
>>60212847
The good guys always win in the end.
>>
>>60216215
I've had moderate success with libgen. And with #bookz on irc. Still can't find some books though.
>>
>>60216769
Usenet was good, it would be great if it became the norm again.
>>
>>60216769
I'm ready for gnutella to become popular again, it'll be nostalgic using limewire again. Or maybe kazaa will start back up...
>>
>>60216864
gnunet
>>
>>60216967
Interesting, I might have to check it out. At this time IPT and Horrible Subs satisfies all my file sharing needs though.
>>
>>60212888
Magnet links make torrenting entirely decentralized.
The only problem is that you need a way to discover this magnet links.
>>
And they said this was the good timeline smdh.

At this rate it won't be long before we're bouncing packet radio off the moon on shit-tier FOSS hardware networked into invite-only wmesh intranets just to get our escapist media while the boomer scum and their useful normie droolers finalize locking down digital comms like they did with every comms medium that came before.

Its sickening to think that illiterate dune coons can get their way with fucking trucks and pipe bombs whereas NEET network engineers and kernel devs can't get their shit in gear and make the first drone swarm attack happen for a cause that actually fucking matters.
>>
>>60217925
Need a decentralized way to distribute magnet links.
>>
>>60215882
There is no safe means of decentralized filesharing, you're either running the risk of storing encrypted CP on your computer or running the risk of being used as an endnode in a CP file transfer.

Frankly the encrypted option is likely the safest, nobody has been arrested for encrypted GNUnet filehosting but people have been arrested for being a Tor endnode.
>>
>>60212847
TPB is still up last I checked
how about you start using it you fucking faggot

>>60212847
nigga pls, people were saying the same thing when napster was shut down

or when suprnova was shut down

there is such a proliferation of data and cheap mass storage that piracy is just a fact of life now, things are just becoming more cloistered and oriented towards trust networks.

if you actually cared about keeping these sites up, you wouldn't be talking about these sites on the open internet and attracting undue attention towards them.

Stop telling normies about them and stop talking about them on 4chan (normie central)
>>
>>60218245
the problem is whatever scheme you come up with, there needs to be a trusted party somewhere. and that trusted party is the point of failure and the person who will get sued/arrested (even sadpanda has a central point of failure)

the alternative is completely decentralized, but then you're gonna be carrying cp on your machine, the downloads/uploads will be shit and it will be full of malware

there's no easy way out

current gnunet gui a shit
call me when they do an ncurses version that doesn't suck
>>
>>60218397
>full of malware
I think GNUnet has built-in filtering for these things based upon a sort of "ratings" system. Unpopular files are pruned from search results, odds are malware and CP are going to be far less "popular" than the legit files you're searching for.

>>
>>60218397
Have magnet links listed on a site that can only be accessed via TOR ? If people can't into TOR, I don't even know.
>>
I'm fairly sure services like TOR might start becoming essential, even for normie piracy
