Is Urban Fiction DYER-tier? My library has an entire shelf of this stuff.
People below 6'3 cant speak about ROM beacuse they ROM doesnt exist, they should do all on deficit to look like normal human beings
So, /fitlit/, I can't really stand reading fiction written before the 20th century; I'm not well educated enough to really explain why articulately. It just seems like most of what was written isn't particularly succinct or palatable.
Most of what I read at this point is non-fiction; what does /fitlit/ recommend I do? Is it worth forcing oneself through difficult to read or care about texts?
>>18053
non-fiction of what sort? historical? scientific? you can interweave those non-fiction works with real historical documents that are relevant

Social works and history; right now I'm reading The Wealth of Nations, and Homage to Catalonia.
Question more for the /health/ side...
A few weeks ago, I was prescribed methotrexate for psoriasis. I've been given so much crap by doctors that didn't work, and this was the first thing that's actually having a visible effect on it.
I wasn't fully aware of the side effects, which include hallucinations, but only in very few cases. I've never had a hallucination before in my life, so I genuinely don't know how they work or what it looks like. Last night, I saw a face in the wall of my room. It popped right out making faces then vanished. Today, my blue bathrobe was red for a good 20 minutes.
Obviously I'll be telling the doc about this, but do these sound like legit hallucinations, or just my brain running away with itself? I've never been on meds this strong before, and I'm just a little freaked out. I'm a total square irl, never had anything stronger than whiskey.

We haven't had that label in years. We can't help you in any meaningful way.
Go to your doctor.

She's on vacation and three other doctors have refused to see me because I'm not their patient.
When you are /lit/ and find a /fit/ friend, the best of things can happen. I have been shown the light and will work my mind and body. /fitlit/izens are the best. All of you are awesome.
This is actually great
This is wholesome :)
I keep meaning to start working out again but I've realized I have mild exercise-induced asthma. I can lift OK, but even basic cardio leaves my lungs burning like mad really quickly.
I'm annoyed about it, but I'm moreso annoyed that I spent 25 years thinking everyone else had the same problem when running. Apparently I just had shitty lungs all along. Great.
Post your bookshelves /fitlit/

Will I look like a pedo if I buy and read this book?I mean I kind of am but I don't want people knowing that
But it's a classic and I feel like I must read it to be cultured.
>>18159
No, you won't look suspicious. Lolita is very well-known classic and if anything the qt. Barnes and Noble clerk will be impressed by your erudition.
>Will I look like a pedo if I buy and read this book?
Yes, there is no way around it. But don't let it discourage you, because it the best book ever written.
>>18159
>implying Lolita is actually a pedo book and isn't just a huge ruse by Nabokov to make you think you're a pedo
Post your favorite books to challenge your mind and body, also rate my top 4 books. I read each one at least 5 times.
It could work. It worked for these two.

Whatever helps you justify it I guess
>>18142
You can't just leave me with out source, OP!
Make one post in this thread explaining why or why not /fitlit/ should be kept as a permanent board.
I don't get why it's merged. Is it an april fools joke?
It's a much needed self improvement board.

What do you eat before reading?
>>16178
cucumber and okra protein shake
>>16178
Oats and eggs
sometimes a cup of green tea
Big glass of dark ass coffee with some food.
Then I chug vodka mixed with OJ when I start to come down from the caffeine
Alright, who's the autist that made this recipe? How in the fuck are you supposed to make 6 patties out of 1 tiny ass can of tuna?
>>16722
Get a big ass can of tuna?
>>16722
I was able to make five small patties, but I only used 1/4 of an onion. If you used a whole onion you could probably make 6 (though I felt that even 1/4 was too much).
>>16722
It's Jesus recipes. Works well whit bread too.
