Oxford comma is for fags and only douchebags care about grammar on a Guyanese haberdashery fan site.
I'm usually a /fit/ user but I have a question for the /lit/ bros. What exactly is the deal with philosophy? Whenever I try to read a philosophy text, it just seems so boring, because they always just seem to repeat themselves. They seem to take pages and pages for what could be said in a few sentences. Am I just horrible at understanding it? It all feels like abstract wankery. It seems the more they write, the less solid is the subject and they just spend all their time talking about stuff that has no basis in the real world.
What philosophy are you even trying to read? If you don't have a solid foundation with the basics are working your way up to different ideas it just be gibberish to you.
You can't just sit down to read Stirner, you have to build knowledge before you can fully understand what is being said with most philosophers.
>>17526
Depends on the philosophy but generally the way it's written, especially if it's dry, has to do with rigour in the reasoning of the piece, making sure it actually makes sense as an argument.
What kind of phil have you read?
Took away our sanitary wipes so we only have 2 dispensers and there never is any handtowels.
Girls should stay fat and soft while men get fit.
