>Introduce a character who by far has the most interesting power
>have him use it exactly once for absolutely nothing on consequence
>kill him immediately afterward
what the fuck was the point?

He was a black, he had to die first.

ADAPT TO THIS
Why was this series allowed?
because
>>81608211
Why do you still give a shit, it's been 3 fucking years, Jesus Christ, go watch something you actually want to fucking watch.
>>81608809
Holy shit, has this seriously been on that long?
Wow I just realized that the actor for Dum Dum Dungan is the same guy who plays Damien Dahrk
I'm impressed
He's also Green Arrow

His eyes are so beautiful
>>81608201
He's also been Deadshot, Flash, Nightwing, and the Hulk.

Fucking Skrulls.
Can we talk about 90's cartoon already!
>>81608012
PPG is already talked about on here too much
If you wanna be anal about it, TMNT was an 80s cartoon, Digimon and Spongebob only barely count (since they premiered in 1999) and YuGiOh missed the date by two years.
Maybe Avatar too, but I dunno. Never gave a shit about that show.

We deserve death for caring so much about this worthless shit.
In retrospect, was Invader Zim really that good?
Let's just say it's a really bad cartoon to marathon.
No, but I'd be lying if I said that joke they used to do where a character pauses then screams didn't make me laugh
>...YOU'RE AFTER MY ROBOT BEE!
>>81607634
what stood out the most to me was the worldbuilding. The humor triangulated between three spots: weak/cheap, witty/intersting, and the kind of thing that's only funny when you are a kid. But when it was witty/interesting it was laugh out loud, and quite unique to the show
>>81607664
that's a very good description
GUYS
WHAT IF THE LORAX HAD AN EVIL BUSINESSMAN ANTAGONIST WHO MAKES PEOPLE LITERALLY PAY FOR AIR
>>81607436
The movie tried so hard to make it clear that anyone can be consumed by greed, then they fucked it up with this cunt. What was the point of even making the Once-Ler sympathetic?
>>81607472
To be fair, he was sympathetic in the original story, but only after he had fucked everything up.
The little boy in this movie was like a proto-Dipper. He was a 12-year-old who had the voice of a 30-year-old (lol zac efron) and had a crush on a ginger girl who was plain as fuck.
RIIICCCHHAARRD!
Stop screwin' around! You're all screwin' around too much!
Don't worry Richard!

Ok.
>Rick flippantly murders people because he can just dimension hop and avoid the consequences
nb4memes
Coach Feratu?
Rick murders people because he can planet hop and avoid consequences
Every time the authorities want to arrest him he probably bribes them with some bullshit alien tech that's actually meant for children
Tell me some cartoon you used to like a lot when they aired but as time went on you lost interest.
Pic related

Same. The formula got really stagnant, to the point where it just wasn't fun anymore. Same thing with Phineas & Ferb.

Snyder, an allegory to writers

>The people of Townsville have plenty to celebrate these days. While Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup might look and sound a bit different than they did when Craig McCracken created them in the mid-1990s, some things never change as Cartoon Network's new "The Powerpuff Girls" animated series that debuted earlier this week still has the same awesome energy fans have always loved about the superpowered trio.
>Of course, IDW Publishing made sure the Girls' revival didn't stop there, announcing at Emerald City Comicon that a new ongoing comic book series will debut this July. Two of the show's writers, Jake Goldman and Haley Mancini (who also voices Princess Morebucks!), will steer the new comic, teaming with artist Derek Charm who drew the previous IDW comic series as well as the Cartoon Network crossover "Super Secret Crisis War!" and wrote and illustrated "Powerpuff Girls: Super Smash-Up!"

It's pretty shitty of them to lie like that.

>BARRY IS READY TO FACE ZOOM; HUNTER ZOLOMAN’S STORY IS REVEALED – Equipped with the tachyon device, Barry (Grant Gustin) believes he is fast enough to stop Zoom (guest star Teddy Sears) and wants to open the breaches to catch him. Harry (Tom Cavanagh) strongly advises against that plan but after Barry convinces him, Harry reveals that Cisco (Carlos Valdes) has the power to re-open the breach. Meanwhile, Hunter Zoloman’s (Teddy Sears) painful story on Earth-2 is revealed. Stefan Pleszcynski directed the episode written by Joe Peracchio & David Kob (#218).
When's the airdate?
I don't even think the older episodes were that great.

Good post
>>81605909
For me it was the Lisa episodes that were the worst.
I still like the show and would say it was easily good from about 2-6, with some seasons before and after also containing good episodes. But to hear some people talk you'd think every episode was like a nonstop comedic orgasm and also incredibly emotional AND ALSO the smartest satire ever. And the show has done all of those areas well throughout its early years, but very rarely all at once or even incredibly consistently.
It's not even that I think it doesn't hold up or was never good. It just feels like people oversell it way too hard these days.
At the risk of destroying my credibility, I really think I prefer King of the Hill because I like character humor more than the typical Simpsons style, and Simpsons only had that going for a very brief period on and then made the show and characters wackier. And while I like how cartoony it could get, a lot of jokes about Homer being stupid and lines that seem almost written to be used among their auidence like "Your ideas intrigue me and I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter" don't do much for me anymore. At a certain point it just becomes way harder to give a damn anymore about characters at the time the show wants you to, when they're used as vehicles for jokes more often.
For all that I like how the show's tried a lot of different things. Some just worked for me more than others, and if I were to rewatch the episodes I really like I'd probably skip over a bunch.
