No, I don't.

Batman offering to help Joker is like the two lunatics in this joke. One's "help" still comes from a place of insanity, the other won't accept anyway but for tragically wrong reasons because they are also insane.
>Marvel Heroes are more relatable
What do people mean by this? DC comics regularly have characters dealing with personal issues and relationships. In fact most DC characters tend to have a bigger cast of supporting non-capes than Marvel ones, who are more connected to other capes.
Can somebody explain to me this meme?
Marvel changes their characters gender, race, and/or sexual preference every few months. Tumbr users who identify with a different gender/animal/planet/vehicle/plant every morning find it easier to relate to.

A compelling argument, because it's flat out retarded to sue H&K if a weapon they made was used in the shooting. You wouldn't sue Ford or Jack Daniels if some guy got drunk and killed someone in a car crash
>>81599388
That's an even better argument. Now, what's IST
Why is Superman so highly regarded as a character? By which I mean, why do people like him or find him interesting? I get his "importance," but he's always come across as totally antiquated to me in every way.
>>81598949
When he's written by someone who knows what they're doing, and from my obviously subjective perspective, he's at his absolute best when you realize he's just another immigrant trying to live up to the American Dream. He can't go back to the old country to the point that parts of his birthplace can literally kill him. He tries to save everyone he can, and has faith that we can accomplish so much beyond even his own stupifying abilities. Superheroes are there, in his words, "to catch us if we fall." He's an inspirational force of good, striving to uphold an entirely positive ideal even though he knows that even with his awesome powers he can't save everyone, but he still tries. The fact that he tries, despite knowing that what he intends to do can sometimes seem impossible, is what makes him a fantastic character.
I'm obviously infected by Morrison and Ennis's take on Supes here, but the older I get the more those great Superman stories resonate with me. The thing is that the really universally well-regarded stories that feature Superman are mostly elseworlds where he uses his powers to enact his own will over civilization through one philosophy or another. Superman as a jackboot, while compelling, is played out. Going from these stories to something like All Star Superman can seem jarring to a point where I can understand why you might see him as antiquated. I'd recommend Ennis's Hitman issues featuring Superman for a better understanding of why folks dig on the character so much.

I just know there's a spongebob quote to use as a filename for this pic.
>>81598983
It's real and it's horrible.
>Squidward hurts his head
>regresses to the level of a baby
>Spongebob and Patrick take care of him, but they suck at it and the episode has a running gag about baby Squidward getting further head injuries
>the episode ends with him returning to normal and realizing he's wearing a dirty diaper

If Superman gets poisoned by Kryptonite, fatally so, why does he always find a way to channel his inner John Cena and just power through it?
>>81598499
>why does he always find a way
Because he's Superman.
>>81598499
>why does he always find a way to channel his inner John Cena and just power through it?
I feel like you answered your own question.
>>81598577
No, because "Channeling his inner John Cena" and "powering through it" are the same thing. You can't power through rattlesnake venom.

Does The One Above All, exists anymore in the whole Marvel multiverse or did the writers just completely, forgot about him?
Both Marvel and DC no longer have a consistent universe.

Is marvel and DC holding the superhero/superpowered action genre back? Most comic creators usually go there when they want to write a long running superhero series and most creator owned superheroes are so obscure and short lived they barely see any further development or runs. In Japan Shonen manga and superpowered bullshit is fairly popular to the extent that there's a lot to choose from that's all creator driven. In America it's the same group of heroes recycled over and over again.
I guess invincible counts but it's not high quality most of the time.
The CCA killed the American comic book industry and DC supported it
>>81597194
>most creator owned superheroes are so obscure and short lived
Yeah, because Spawn, Savage Dragon, and Invincible don't have the highest issue counts currently of any capeshit on the market. And Millar hasn't had multiple of his Millarworld comics get turned into movies. Kick-ass is less obscure than a lot of Marvel and DC's backcatalogues of heroes. Not to mention Valiant which is currently going strong, doing the best shared cape universe in the market with multiple ongoings.
Marvel and DC ain't holding back shit. There's nothing stopping a top tier creator from doing some revolutionary cape book via one of the numerous creator owned publishers, or hell, go the COPRA route. Michael Fiffe SELF-PUBLISHED Copra, and even that became popular among fans of the genre. If what you want is non-Marvel or DC capes, there are PLENTY of avenues for that.
>>81597194
>Is marvel and DC holding the superhero/superpowered action genre back?
No. Readers are.
This is the most bizarre shit right now. I haven't seen this movie since I was like 4 or 5, and they just put it on Netflix. I remember like everything about it too. Like the kid playing air guitar on the broom eating an egg salad sandwich. Anyway, has anyone else watched this?

I liked Professor Screweyes. I don't get why it's so bad that he wants to scare people for entertainment.
>>81597001
literally did nothing wrong
>>81597001
It's less that he wants to scare people and more the lengths he's willing to go to to do it, like say, turning a couple of kids into howler monkeys.
