>Boyd Holbrook ("Hatfields & McCoys") is in talks to join the cast of James Mangold's WOLVERINE as the main villain, "a relentless, calculating and intense head of Security for a global enterprise who is set against Wolverine". It's an original character created for the movie, and Holbrook would join a cast that also includes Hugh Jackman in his last outing as the titular character, and Patrick Stewart as his mentor, Professor Charles Xavier. WOLVERINE is being released on March 3, 2017.

Sounds like "Enemy of the State".
>Main villain
>Original character
But why? I'm not a huge X-Men fan, but there has to be someone they can use that'd make a decent antagonist.
OC's don't seem like a smart idea for comic adaptations.
BLEU CHEESE VERSUS RANCH
Who the fuck actually wants to eat moldy cheese?

Looks like a typical "adventure/comedy/kitchen sink for the WHOLE FAMILY" generic material.
BUT, it might be good, or even great, if they focus all their attention on the execution. I once decided to check a very genetic show with a cool look. That show turned out to be amazing, thanks to the level of execution, and the amount of love Nerd Corps put into it.
In other words, if the creators REALLY TRY, Arctic Justice might end up with a solid 8.

(that show was Storm Hawks)

Just what we need, more polar bear movies.
I think the main appeal Arrow had to me was just the potential it had to explore Green Arrow as a character with hours upon hours of story, likely getting to do more in terms of volume than any comic book run could. Unfortunately it simply became the dollar store action figure version of the Nolan Dark Knight movies, before I gave up on it after Sara was killed in season 3. We just keep getting wasted opportunity after wasted opportunity.
If you could take another shot at adapting Green Arrow into a TV show format, what would you do to make him wholly distinct from Batman in every aspect of his operations? How would you make Star City a distinct entity like the other famous cities in DC?
The biggest question I have is would you keep Deathstroke as such an interpersonal villain of Green Arrow? I personally would stay away from things like Deathstroke and Suicide Squad completely, or anything that is too close to Batman. Deathstroke works better as an antagonist of Nightwing
Have Black Canary not know Oliver before he was a superhero. Use Grell's run as primary season one inspiration, since Canary isn't really important in it. Second season, make it Lemire's run. Use characters like Black Lightning, Katana, and the rest of the Outsiders. Make Roy a druggie. Make Mia a hoe.
Not involve Cuckingheim

When are Dinah and Oliver supposed to meet anyway?

You now realize there is not a single noteworthy female in DC or Marvel who practices Super Science.
Protip:Sue Sue, Janet van Dyne, and any other female that is primarily a character through being married to a male super genius doesn't count.
Jan's a fashion designer bro
There are some lady super science bad guys right
>>81601394
Doctor Light?
Too bad they dragged Valeria. She could've been a nice female Doom.
Ren & Stimpy just isn't very good, Rocko's Modern Life is much better.
I disagree.
R&S has better drawings, better animation, better voice acting, and I think it's funnier.
>>81601081
I liked it when they had sex.
>>81601081
Ren and Stimpy still shocks me by how they would go. Nothing has ever done this type of humor this well.
Meanwhile, on Earth-3 /co/...

Man, Ultraman vs Owlman was fucking amazing. How'd you guys feel about Owlman not brutally murdering anyone though?
>>81601442
Eh. Didnt really have much of an impact.
We all know the only reason he kills so much is for the ratings and attention.
Early in the books he would just torture people until they promised to obey.
>>81601442
>>81601442
Ultraman was way too happy and cheerful in it.

So what do you think we'll see in the trailer? I can't imagine they have that much CGI work finished yet.

How do you know they haven't been working on that for a while? They wrapped filming not long ago, and it was in an outdoor, urban location. That means they must have already finished the green-screen filming some time before that.

I know who The Shadow s -- we had a lot of the old radio plays on reel-to-reel at my college radio station.
what do you think of the arkham knight
>>81600308
The game or the character? I enjoyed the game. I had more fun with the other games in the series, but it was still solid. The character is alright, but even better if you read the Arkham Knight: Genesis prequel comics.
>>81600360
the character

Got it.
Is Odyssey as bad as reviewers make it out to be?
The plot transcends such mere mortal definitions of quality as "good" and "bad"
Art's pretty good though

I've never read it, but it's apparently one of the most insane in a good way comics of all time.

Kinda like ASBAR but at least with ASBAR the plot is a easier to figure out and follow

Can't agree with that, I find him really entertaining when he's on. It's mostly just been a while since he was in a good groove (maybe 2008-09).
It might boil down to what you enjoy. Maybe he's not your thing.
