Why isn't Professor Zoom and The Rogues as popular as Batman or Superman villains?
They are definitely top tier.
>>83968812
Maybe cause just in the last two years the Flash is getting mainstream appeal, retard.
Fuck, you're dumb.
>>83968812
Flash didn't have a tv show in the 60s.
>>83968812
Because except for Grodd they're all just pallet swaps of Batman and Superman villains,
>SEG-EL | Envisioned here as athletic, quietly confident and in his 20s, comic fans are familiar with an older (and a bit grumpier) Seg from his appearance in the classic Starman No. 51, written by James Robinson with story by Robinson and David S. Goyer, who is executive producer/writer of Krypton. But Seg’s a good guy at any age; in the comics, he and son Jor-El (Kal-El/Superman’s father) helped Starman get away while other Kryptonians wanted to detain – and dissect – the Earthling.
>LYTA ZOD | This twentysomething beauty will likely have some familial tie to Superman’s future foe, General Zod, while she herself is a (reluctant) warrior.
>VAL-EL | Seg’s genius grandpa defied death by going into the Phantom Zone, and is a staunch believer in space exploration. (We know that’s a lesson he’ll pass along to his great-grandson.)
>ALURA ZOD | Lyta’s mom happens to bear the same name as Kara Zor-El’s mother on Supergirl, while “Zod” always raises an eyebrow because of that whole “kneel before” thing.
>DEV-EM | If anyone is going to survive Krypton’s inevitable fate, it’ll be this chiseled, twentysomething bad boy. In the comics, Dev escapes the doomed planet, abuses Superboy on Earth and eventually becomes an ally of the Legion of Super-Heroes… in the 30th century.
>TER-EL | AKA Seg’s father. We didn’t get him to play Supergirl’s Man of Steel, but maybe Tom Welling (Smallville) could play Clark’s great-grandfather on Krypton?

What even is the point of this
Oh boy, my favorite part of Alan Moores "For The Man Who Has Everything" was all the Kryptonian politics!
>Watching and getting connected to characters you know will all die in a fiery explosion
>Gender bender episode
>MC's best friend falls in love with him
Why does this happen? And is there more of this type?
Real talk...if Korra had a penis I'd care way less about Korrsami than I normally do because at least it feel less gay
Boy, Google autocompleted "Jason turns into a girl" wayyyyy too fast to not be weird.
>>83968688
society has shit so fucked up that nobody knows how to be a girl as well as guys do
How does /co/ feel about Sponge Out Of Water? I didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised when I watched it. Nothing grand or anything, but it reminded me of old Spongebob in a lot of ways and I was glad to see that it was mostly 2D animation.
It was good up til the live action segments.
But Mad Max Underwater was an entertaining enough concept, and all the weird dimensional fucking about that happens afterwords is surreal enough to keep the audience's attention.
>>83968573
The problem with the movie is that it lacked a strong narrative thrust like the last one did.
Individual gags were phenomenal though.
Why didn't Spongebob and company become these heroes?
More Teen Titans! Neil Adams! New costumes! Origins! Speedy on the team
Some recolored issues to go through
yeah maybe there was a connecting issue of Hawk and Dove I missed? dunno. we're rolling
>The psychopathic red neck with newly acquired Eldritch powers has better writing and is not gonna be cancelled at #12
>Agent Venom and Silk are doing well in their solos
>Miles and Peter have nothing going for them in their main books
Is this what we call Irony?
You just can't keep a good symbiote down.
>>83968482
Agent Venom is soon axed.
Ya, it sounds like Venom's series is gonna be ending, which I think is pretty sad, since it was just getting good. Silk probably doesn't have much longer either. Coincidentally, Robbie Thompson writes them both.
At least I still have Carnage.
To my mind, this embracing of what were unambiguously children's characters at their mid-20th century inception seems to indicate a retreat from the admittedly overwhelming complexities of modern existence. It looks to me very much like a significant section of the public, having given up on attempting to understand the reality they are actually living in, have instead reasoned that they might at least be able to comprehend the sprawling, meaningless, but at-least-still-finite 'universes' presented by DC or Marvel Comics. I would also observe that it is, potentially, culturally catastrophic to have the ephemera of a previous century squatting possessively on the cultural stage and refusing to allow this surely unprecedented era to develop a culture of its own, relevant and sufficient to its times. I mean, I loved the music of the '60s. I loved the Beatles, the Kinks, and Cream. I wish music could sound like that forever, yet if it did, we would never progress as a culture."
>>83968411
I mean I'm always down for new character if that's what he's suggesting.
>>83968411
You think you're going to have a good thread about that here? If you point out DC and Time Warner and Marvel and Disney are corrupt, evil businesses people will just tell you to go back to /pol/. This board is full of autists and retards, anon. They don't want reality.

>>AQUAMAN #1, THE FLASH #1, WONDER WOMAN #1, AND LEGACY NUMBERED ACTION COMICS #958 AND DETECTIVE COMICS #935 ALL TO RECEIVE 2ND PRINT RUN DUE TO INCREDIBLE FAN DEMAND
That's really impressive considering they aren't even out yet
>>83967524
woah........ so this........ is the power........ of DC Rebirth.
>>83967497
I have the fear that Rebirth will eventually just be derailed and ruined by bad editorial and the shitty writes who still work at DC. The characters are getting rebooted but the same problem people are around.
Man, I cannot wait for the 3rd movie
Finding Hank
>>83967448
That will most likely happen, not before Andrew Stanton does Wall-E 2 though.
>>83967448
>animating that nightmare
nah it's findingmarlin's gf, who was alive all alongfor sure
>>83967448
I found him.
This fag is one if the worst characters on his own show. I like watching it, but he is a self righteous prick
> Also shitty protagonist thread I guess
>>83967389
the whole show is meanspirited
it thinks it's so clever for subverting expectations, but it does it at every turn so you DO expect it.. and it tries to make you feel bad for expecting to be entertained. it has no story, just a bunch of quips. i can't stand it. which is sad because i love aspects of it
>>83967820
I like the show, but I've grown to hate gumball himself more and more. Darwin, anais, and his mom are better characters.
>>83967389
>>83967820
>>83968044
I like him. He's not as bad as you say he is. He's an ass, but not evil. He makes up for it occasionally like in the signal episode and such.
Have any of the "main character is actually in a coma" theories ever actually been proven correct?
Where do people come up with this shit anyway? Is it because of that ending in Nintendo DS Drawn-to-life or does it extend beyond that?

>Chad L. Coleman has been cast in the recurring villain role of Tobias Church for the upcoming fifth season of Arrow. The character is reportedly described as “an imposing gangster looking to unite the various criminal enterprises in Star City under his own singular command.”

>“an imposing gangster looking to unite the various criminal enterprises in Star City under his own singular command.”
They're replacing EBR with a big black guy?

>>83966514
With a power like that noone in the marvel universe can compete with him.

No you're thinking of Plastic Man
You know, the one who can turn into a bicycle.
