Animation shouldn't have any age limits. All cartoons can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age.

ATLA IS overrated, because it's pretty much the only serious, serialized original western cartoon. If it were released as an anime, or a book series, it would be totally unremarkable.

I didn't care to read OP's stuff, but there's a lot of good in ATLA, and they clearly put more thought into the writing than most kid's shows do
I won't tell you your opinions of it is wrong, i'm just saying that it's your opinion, and just because you have that opinion doesn't make the show "overrated"

I want action cartoons OP the market has no non-anine action cartoons

The biggest issue I see is that most cartoons these days are afraid to be cartoons.

From what's around these days, there doesn't seem to be anything smartly written, or using the elements of a cartoon (like the fact that they're hand-drawn) to the show's advantage for either dramatic or comedic purposes.

The Mickey Mouse Shorts understand this better than any other show airing currently.

tldr; more cartoon logic, less focus on story telling

There's a scene where Dory and the octopus, Hanks are trying to escape, but a lady with a bucket talks about how the octopus is missing. Because Dory and Hanks are on the floor, we get great angles of her giant butt. Even a whole shot where she's on the phone

Laserdisk was better than VHS in most regards, but it is not better than DVD at all.

They're still really cool and totally watchable (particularly on a CRT), they're several leagues above VHS and Laserdiscs can actually occasionally have better transfers than DVD for produced-on-videotape sort of stuff, primarily because the DVDs for lots of old cartoons shows are not particularly well encoded. The Ren & Stimpy episodes released on Laserdisc look significantly better there than they do on DVD.
