ITT: characters that you want to see mentally or physically suffer

Why would you want to do something so cruel to such a pure character?

So is this satire, or literal autism?
It's treading that fine line where I legitimately cannot tell.

People are upset at this, how? I'd rather have a karate-kicking action flick then some dumb, out of place musical.
>>90886052
Mulan only had like 2 songs in the first place.
Did they really want Disney to ruin Man Out of You as bad as they ruined Gaston?

HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
Not if you kill yourself right NOW.
Obviously there are a billion different ways people like to denigrate Zack Snyder, but why when people who liked BvS rightly claim that the ultimate cut clears up the narrative and makes the film feel less like a series of trailers (i.e. more meat to the non action scenes), people who don't like Snyder say that he's bad because he should learn how to make a shorter movie?
The theatrical cut of BvS is 2 hours and 30 minutes long.
The extended cut is 3 hours long.
-now here's the kicker-
TDKR is 2 hours and 45 minutes long, released by the same studio.
I'm willing to bet that even 15 more minutes added to the theatrical cut of BvS as opposed to the full 30 would have made the story flow much smoother than it did in theaters.
So my question is, why blame Snyder for THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE when the studio was at fault?
>>90885747
TDKR could be 3 hours and feel like 2 hours because the viewer is enjoying it. BvS could be 2 hours and feel like 10 hours because it's a mindless, stupid CGI slugfest.
>>90885779
That doesn't answer my question. You're just making a low quality off topic post.
>>90885747
>So my question is, why blame Snyder for THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE when the studio was at fault?
Because the theatrical cut of BvS was still bloated with pointless plot and endless, extended fight scenes.
There is no earthly reason a movie about Batman and Superman becoming friends should be as long as Kingdom of Heaven. That's disgusting, Snyder has no sense of pacing at all.
What does /co/ think of this marketing ploy? This ran in front of Beauty and the Beast.

Alec Baldwin needs money apparently
That concept is all over the damn place. A baby businessman becomes a spy to wage war with puppies while an older kid who discovered the baby businessman is not just a mere baby (if nobody knows baby is businessman then how does baby do business?).
It's like they crammed the Rugrats angle in with the Chicken Boo angle and threw in a little Cats vs Dogs because they thought that maybe if you threw enough paper-thin premises in together then you'd have cardboard.
>>90885816
lol
you clearly never done business before
what went so wrong?
Absolutely nothing
Mako died, and that seems to be just about it.
I'm hoping to see an allusion to da samurai by the end of this, I liked that guy.
It didn't come sooner to save animation.
State your opinion for Steven Universe WITHOUT using any sort of buzzword or target towards Tumblr.
I've only seen a few episodes.
Garnet's boxfro is trash and they should have kept her old design.

Every character is an unlikable retard, and the plot fucking retarded
>>90885429
It's pretty good. The main draw is the characters and getting invested in their motivations and interactions. My main problem with the show is that it's too heavy-handed with its emotional scenes and there's too many of them, so their impact is massively lessened. It's a very feminine show, which I can respect, because it's something different, however, the emotiveness is too much at times. I like the town episodes and the "plot" episodes just the same. The songs are good, the animation is passable, voice acting is good, character design is meh.
>“Different universes, different worlds, different companies, different designs. Kevin Feige is very specific about how he wants the Marvel Universe to be seen in the film world,” Mackie explained. “It wouldn’t work. It wouldn’t work at all.”

Never understood why the girl has to be japanese, why couldn't they give him a Korean girlfriend. That would have been perfect. Failing that a girl from south eastern China, those are ok too.

If she's not Japanese, it's not appropriate for her to be using a katana.

>Dark Days: The Forge #1 and Dark Days: The Casting #1 are a pair of specials that DC describes as the kick-off of a massive summer event and promises will "break new ground in DC's publishing line."
>Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV will write and be joined by artists Andy Kubert, Jim Lee and John Romita Jr.
>"Spearheaded" by Snyder, according to DC, the mysteries of The Forge (on sale June 14) and The Casting (on sale July 12) will reveal the dark underbelly of the DC Universe.
>“Art like this demands an epic story,” says Snyder in DC's announcement. “Dark Days posits a mystery that traces all the way back to when I started on Batman. I've hinted at them over the years with Easter eggs and clues. This is a mystery that literally begins at the dawn of man and spans generations of heroes and villains and ultimately leads to huge revelations about the past, present and future of the cosmology of DC. I couldn't be more excited for Dark Days. It's the prelude to the event we've been developing for years.”
>“We’re taking all the ethos and excitement of the work Scott and I have been doing in the Batman titles and unleashing it across the entire DC Universe,” added Tynion IV. “The size and scope of what we're looking to do with Dark Days could only be accomplished by the best of the best. Andy, Jim and John are legends. All of us on this project are pushing one another, and every concept, to the extreme.”
Another post-apocalyptic future event?
Didn't we have like... three or four of these during the New 52?
>The publisher also describes Kubert, Lee and Romita Jr., as driving DC’s initiative to "bring artists to the forefront of the storytelling process."
>Beginning with Dark Days, these creative team will collaborate to "develop new ideas and characters, further enriching the DC Universe."
>“Working with Scott and James on Dark Days is the culmination of the big ideas and endless brainstorming that came out of a recent creative summit,” explained Lee, also of course DC's co-publisher. “It was tremendous fun having peers like Andy Kubert and JRJr. in with some of our top writers. Strategically, Dan and I have talked for a long time about bringing the artist back to the table in the genesis of big, epic events. The creative summit was just that, and the level of collaboration was truly invigorating and electrifying. We can’t wait to share Dark Days with the DC faithful…they’re in for a thrill ride!”
