Is this where Marvel quipping crossed the line? I haven't had a problem with it in any other movie but for fuck's sake it almost ruined Doctor Strange for me. Calling Wong Adele and Beyonce isn't clever or funny writing. The character completely lacked any kind of gravitas because he never once took anything seriously despite the awesome power with which he was faced. He even came face to face with Dormammu and quipped him down.
The special effects were amazing and make Wonder Woman look like amateur hour but I end up liking Wonder Woman more because it's allowed to just be a superhero movie instead of constantly ripping me out and winking at me. I love classic Strange comics so it's just such a bummer when they get the visuals so spot on but I'm left with such a disgusting taste in my mouth.

>quips are bad
i think they could double and triple the number of quips and i wouldn't have a problem
>ITT: "I'm autistic and it hurts to laugh at movie"

Is it summer already?
Remember the time when Black Cat was essentially Gwen Stacy, a spoiled rich sorority girl who was injected with a serum that gave her the ability to transform into a big, muscular amazon of a supervillainess? And how she even got a deep, purring voice out of the deal?
I wish this was canon for the comics Black Cat, it makes her so much better as a character
>>93041607
Better than the retconned origin they gave her in the comics.
Where the whole reason she became Black Cat is because her boyfriend raped her in college and then got hit by a car.
>>93042120
Men are pigs sounds far more reasonable and based
>>93041607
your fetish is shit
How do I get in to to reading DC, like where to start? There's just so much I really don't know where to begin.
If I had to pick someone specific to start with I'd go with Green Arrow for someone who particularly interests me.
>>93041482
You could start with Rebirth which is the most current thing happening with DC, Green Arrow Rebirth is apparently a pretty good series so you could check that out
>>93041482
I started with Green Lantern, and going through Blackest Night gave me a taste of a lot of characters so I could branch off from there.
Mike Grell's The Longbow Hunters. Then Start at Volume 1 of the Green Arrow by Mike Grell TPB run. There are 8 volumes plus Longbow Hunters. Volume 9 will be out next January, which finishes his entire run.

Look at this homewrecker.
That I just found.

That shameless little slut can't even begin to comprehend what she's doing to Marco parading around like that.
>>93041308
she a CUTE
WITH THE STRENGTH OF A MILLON AND SEVENTY MEN
What would be her power level in the capeshit universe
>>93041128
over 9000, probably
>>93041128
just below superman
she easily matches robots in the 100-300ft range and can lift chunks of metal dozens of times her size

>Patrick Stewart will probably be dead in less than 15 years
>this will be in his legacy
Why, /co/, why?
>>93040886
Patrick Stewart is a jokester and funny guy at heart.
I see nothing wrong here. Go watch something other than Star Trek for once in your life.
Ha, you wish he still had another decade left in him. He'll be gone soon and the Emoki movies will be one of his last works.
>>93040886
His legacy is American Dad.

Is Tank Girl worth reading?
>>93040068
God, yes. Do yourself a huge favor and buy some tank girl comics.
not at all, I read a bunch of shitty things and defend them but I read like 6 issues of Tank Girl and the art is ugly and the humor isn't funny
>>93040068
It's pretty hit and miss
Idk the marketing was okay I guess.
Plus Harley and Joker appeal to normies I guess.
>>93040038
sometimes a bad movie makes money, like transformers
sometimes a good movie makes money too, so dont take this as a "high box office = bad"
>>93040038
We were expecting it to be capeshit kino.
Few people thought that the aesthetic and character design was done unironically.
Boy, we were wrong.
Are there any good cartoon characters you share your first name with?
I don't, my name is Trevor so....I cant think of any
>>93039984
I don't even care if it's good. Find me one male /co/ character named "Jody".
I'll wait. I have time.
I never heard of any character named Marc
>>93039984
I don't know of any cartoon characters by the name Christian.
How come it feels like Superman is starting to feel like a relic from a bygone era like baseball being America's favorite past time. I always see and hear people talk more about Batman yet I never once see people talk about the Kryptonian. I see and hear more people talk about fucking Goku. Supes still has his loyal fans, but it just seems like his standing as that quincuncial hero is fading and continues to fade. I wouldn't be surprised in Wonder Woman starts getting more of a following after that movie.
I cannot help but suspect this may be due to the younger generations wanting more realistic and less supernatural in their comic book heroes. It may even be connected to millennials being less spiritual and thus more likely to root for a hero who is human in comparison to a god.
Please tell me there is a possibility for a second stand-alone Superman movie as good as the Wonder Woman movie so Ol' Supes can regain some eminence? I remember when other works of media would reference Superman and now it seems like Batman is the new favorite to reference.
I remember there was a guy on YouTube who made shorts featuring superhero action figures and he essentially made a movie where Superman had to stop Lex Luthor from taking Stan Lee into the DC Universe to wipe out Marvel Comics. The end had Stan Lee and all of the Marvel & DC heroes saying thanks and showing their appreciation for the hero that started it all. It actually made me cry a bit.

I take the bus regularly and walk around a lot - even when traveling. Pretty much every city, country or place I go, I see the Superman shield. It's also a common tattoo.
I think it's a symbol, like the Christian cross, that has a certain appeal - people know the basic story, and the basic idea of Superman.
It's the same thing as Spider-man becoming more culturally relevant since the original Raimi run, same as with Ironman (who was a B- list character at best before the films), and likewise with Batman.
If they had a successful run of films with Superman Returns, it would be a totally different story today as far as comics, and cons, and the like, but Superman is still a top tier character.
>>93039980
I tend to see more shirts with Captain America's shield to be honest.
> diana loves ice cream
is this johns' pet meme?
The real question is: What is Diana's favorite ice cream?
This scene will become her iconic moment.
Like the Wayne's in he ally.
Or Supes saving a flying Lois in front of the planet.
Mark my words.
>>93039371
>The real question is: What is Diana's favorite ice cream?
Chocolate.
Heathcliff and the others rally for ham.
I like that there are people in there, as if they couldn't buy their own ham
haha
Is there a single Heathcliff strip that is a real joke, and not incomprehensible random scenarios?
>>93038841
Fucking Ham agenda ruining my newspaper comics
Nobody thought he would be the second best Batman of all time
But look at him now
I'm still not impressed, years and years later Affleck still isn't a good actor. Bale was the better actor, even if he was the worse Batman.
>>93038703
No, I think he was an okay Bruce but he was a mediocre batman
>>93038921
