i'm not huge on blends only because i don't know enough about individual wines to know why a blend of them is a good idea. i call myself a wine noob and i've been drinking wine for years. i haven't really run across any stellar american wines, desu. italy, france and spain make killer wines, and there are some tasty esoteric wines from every country. you should go to a wine tasting or something and dive in instead of committing yourself to a whole bottle of whatever some idiot on 4chan sells you on.
that said, you should try a malbec. my go-to is trapiche reserva.

It's a chilly rainy day, but I planned ahead last night and drunkenly mixed up some dough for whole wheat bread. Another hour or so, and it'll be time to bake it.
I want to make soup of some kind to go with it — I have basic veggies (carrots, onions, garlic, bell pepper, tomatoes), every kind of grain and canned beans imaginable, and vegan "meat" crumbles. The obvious thing would be to make chili, but that sounds kind of boring.
Does anyone have a better idea?

Your pic brings back fond memories of my trip to France and Europe where almost every town had a charcuterie where you could get cured sausage and ham. In this hell hole of the US you have to settle for solution added and tumbled ham style products and mass produced chemical laden sausage that has never been near a curing room.

I just eat from like the food court at my school but the meals are basically like 10 dollars give or take. Is it possible to make a meal that's cheaper than that? I know that it probably won't have vitamins and nutrients but I need cheaper food than 10 dollars a meal.
