"Sorry, the Grand Mac has been phased out, would you like a Big Mac instead?"
What do you do?
get a mcdouble
>>8930806
For me, I'd get the McChicken.
I hope you enjoy your mad cow and this food is so liberal it'll turn your ass into a vegan. You will go back to McDonald's and demand they shit down! Because George Soros agrees, McDonald's is a racist establishment that hates gay animals! Shut it down!
I saw a bunch of anons on /ck/ talking about how good IPA is. I bought a 6-pack and they tasted like shit. Is IPA actually good or just some /ck/ meme? And what are actually good alcoholic drinks?
pic obviously unrelated
just pour a shot of vodka in whatever sugary drink you like, you fucking faggot.
>>8930411
>meme
Is this the food and cooking subreddit?
>>8930411
IPAs can be good, but the are so many out there that there are bound to be plenty of awful hop bombs are just suck.
Keep trying different beers and see what you like and don't.
Hiro said that we're allowed one meta thread per board, so here it goes:
Please stop replying to obvious low effort shitposts and bait. It actively makes this board worse.
>>8930338
I like fast food burgers 'go 'za WA LA
>>8930338
Holy fuck this
The entire reason /ck/ isn't great is because people reply to the really, really, REALLY bad shitposts EVERY fucking time.
The most low effort unfunny shitposts end up being active for a week or two, and any other threads are usually "lets talk about this thing that's food in a way that's not related to cooking at all" which is fine since this is a food board as well, but there's not a lot of serious discussion on cooking
A big point to make in my opinion, is the recent threads popping up just having a picture of an ingredient and the name of it in the title. Obiously started as someone shitposting and ended up being some of the best threads in the past months, because people actually discussed the ingredient and its uses.
/ck/ is good because it's based on an easily accessible hobby with a wide range of skill levels and a lot of depth. Threads where people legitimately ask for help, food pairings, how ingredients work, science behind cooking, etc, are all great. Actual discussion of food and not "lol dudes fast food!! dudes loll oh my god i got a ramen!!!!! noodles!! memes in my ramen lol!"
We're getting multiple threads a week that are very obviously people trying to be epic by making some hiLArioUS xD memefood because they saw dessert ramen or some shit.
I feel like /ck/ is/should be a pretty easy board to keep in objetively high quality. Most threads, shitty posts(read: not shitposts, just not great threads) are still food or cooking related for the most part. The problem is, like OP said, that the small fraction of shitposts there are get all the replies, because people are fucking retarded.
Ban regularly posted meme threads (what sauce for my steak, for me it's the x and most fast food threads honestly, x diet is a meme, etc) and /ck/ would be pretty fantastic.
Basically, too many people too stupid to not reply to the really low quality shitposts this board tends to have, and too few starting actual discussion.
>>8930338
/ck/ needs a sticky.
>move to NYC on May 1st
>have only eaten mcdonalds and dominos pizza

I've never seen this in Canada :(
that isn't ice cream that's a sad excuse for ice cream to try to make you feel like less of a fat ass
Ask a Serb anything about Balkan food.
Wonder if there is any interest in the food in this region. It's super cheap. Buying BBQ from a kiosk on the street is 2-4 euros and it's done on a wood burning grill in front of you.
My favorite restaurant that's upper tier in terms of cost is about 10 euros per person.
Also, any general questions are welcome.
>inb4 remove kebab, poor slavshit etc

May 13th is International Hummus Day.
I trust you all will be enjoying some hummus today.
>>8930238
I have some in the fridge. Will do.
>>8930238
I love hummus but I'm allergic to chickpeas. Not life-threatening or anything, but if I eat hummus or anything containing chickpeas my mouth / tongue gets really itchy and slightly swollen, and I get a pretty bad stomach cramp. Which fucking blows because I think hummus is delicious.
Have some for me, anon.
>>8930238
Nope, I'll be enjoying some shrimp and halibut over lemon coucous with greens and other veg for dinner.
I like hummus, but I don't have any atm, and I'm not going to run out and buy some just because of some random day allocation.
I also just ate 2 cajun meat pies and one sweet potato puff.
Can't wait to try this today:

I only buy toothpaste there.
>>8930213
Explain. I'm not checking the site.

Uh, it's just some frozen vegan chicken tikka masala. Looked pretty tasty to me.
Have you ever found something nasty in your food, ck?
>>8930192
Na, I don't eat processed shit, but I have had worms in my broccoli. Thankfully it never made it to the dish.
>>8930196
Supposedly, the manufacturers said that it's a natural product with no conservatives, so that shit is a result of not refrigerating the drink after opening it.
>>8930192
I bit into a mcnugget probably 8-10 years ago now and it had an completely intact wishbone from a chicken in it
Not sure if there was a lawsuit there but I was like 10 or 12 and my mom laughed it off

Would it actually work? I thought it was just a tastebuds thing

Yuros, does this make a good coffee?
Do yuros even use this or is it just a meme?
>>8929353
Not Europoor, but, I just got done using mine to make coffee. Takes a little long to make a cup, and if you get a smaller sized pot, you'll be wanting more coffee but not wanting to go through the process again. Also, it takes a bit of experimentation in regards to ground size (I only like using espresso ground) and stove temperature.
I don't think it tastes starkly different from getting coffee out of the coffee pot, personally, but I may have a pleb palette.
>>8929353
It's a meme, it makes the worst coffee ever. No lie, people used to beat their wives for making coffee in those things.
>>8929353
Friend made me a really delicious cup of coffee out of one of these. He had a whole ritual for it, however, so I doubt I'll be picking one up any time soon. French press is just too easy.
For me, it's livermush. The best breakfast meat.
>>8929318
I don't understand how someone would hate the taste of liver.
>>8929326
it's all metal-y and shit niqqa
