Why do Americans always say the corporations/rich are ruining their country? Whenever I reply to a le Reddit post related to this, nobody gives a logical response and I get downvoted to hell. All they say is "they hoard money off shore, they avoid taxes, bla bla bla" when that obviously isn't true.
The US has the 10th highest corporate tax in the world, and their rich pay more than half of their income to taxes after you include state and FICA. On top of that, the US spends more than they do on defense in programs aiding the poor, who pay little to no taxes. The people receiving these aids account for 1.7% of tax revnue, while people making $100K or higher account for 77.7% of tax income. So they obviously are paying their fair share.
Why is "The rich ruin our country" even a thing?
It's a thing in the every country tho
Success breeds jealousy nothing new.
>>1155783
half of this board is filled with people who harbor the same sentiments. The problem is with economists on this board who only see poor people as a sliver of pie, and the 1% as almost the whole entire pie. Another issue is the debate about advancements in technology and how they effect quality of life, what should be considered poverty and what's the government's responsibility to combat issues that stem from poverty. It honestly stems from wealth disparity. I'd argue that we're in a position in this country that being poor isn't that bad depending on where you live but that's my opinion.
>>1155783
>when that obviously isn't true.
A lot do. If they didn't Trump wouldn't be talking about trying to bring that money back.
>So they obviously are paying their fair share.
>Why is "The rich ruin our country" even a thing?
I wouldn't mind paying 77.7% of the country's revenue if that meant I could drive a new ferrari everyday and collect a dividend check every couple months.
>inb4 why don't you start your own business?!
That requires capital. Which I have to get through being an employee from one of these rich people.
Is it even possible to start investing in stocks with <$100?
Everywhere I look people are investing in the thousands
>>1155095
Probably not. The commission will eat up 10% of that <$100. Instead, save up until you get $1000> and start a Roth IRA.
Why do you think all of the NEETs are apeshit about Robinhood? One neckbeard from the general turned $200 into $2000 over the course of a year. Nothing is impossible with no commission fees, but the less money you start with the harder time you have making it. Seriously though just wait for ether to dip and buy in. Wait until you have like a grand before you start manually investing in the traditional market.
Some mutual funds can be bought into with only $100
So, what're the best /biz/ related computer skills to learn that are useful for anything /biz/ related?:
1. Python
2. Excel
3. ???
FASM, C++, Python and Go

Kind of redundant to learn that many. Python is more than enough.
Python, Visual Basic, SQL

If you had one tip to give people about negotiating your salary or successfully navigating a job interview, what would it be?
I'll get shit on my head for doing this.... But.... here goes....
Actually good advice:

The ability to walk away is the ultimate leverage.
When they need you more then you need them that's all there is to it.
Goes for anything. Buying/selling shit, relationships, friends, etc.
You always want to be in the "demand" spot
I need some guidance /biz/
I'm 23, currently unemployed, and considering going back to college this fall.
I've had a difficult time getting a job, even the lowest tier, because outside of construction, i have no work skills to put on a resume.
But my dad wants me to work at the construction company he's with.
He said i'd get between 10-12 an hour if a join.
but the reason he's asking me is because 2 guys have quiet in the past week and they're short handed.
Also every time I see him, he's always saying how much he hates his job and wants to quit.
both of these says to me that the job really might not be worth the money.
Another job opportunity is working at a nearby krogers as a stock boy, because one of my dads friends whose a manager there needs extra hands.
He didn't tell me how much I'd make there, so probably minimum wage.
But since i'm making nothing now, anything is an upgrade.
So should I pick one of these jobs, or just hold tight till the next semester of college starts up?
Stop being a fag and take the job
>>1155869
Two things are important. First, that you enjoy whatever you are doing. If you enjoy what you are doing, you' ll work harder and you' ll achieve more. Second, you should pick something that is in demand. If you pick some type of study that already has a severe abundance in graduates, you' ll have very hard time making money.
So if you can pick a study that meets those two criteria, I'd say go for the college option. If not, you're probably better of doing something that will have you making money asap.
>>1155883
The construction one i'm assuming you mean?
>>1155884
To be honest, the whole reason i'm going back to college is just to get 2 years worth or credits.
I spoke with a recruiter for the local PD, and since I don't have to have a degree in a field, just the credits, I figured i'd go back to school with the minimum task of getting the credit hours.
And because I wouldn't need to focus on one path of study, I'd be less stressed about figuring out the right path for me, and can take a variety at my school.
So I'll either get the two hours to apply to the police academy, or I'll find a subject that I'm passionate about from the various one's i'll be studying, and be able to make that my main course of study.

He's a genuinely smart guy and he has good intentions, but there's something off about him, something unnatural about seeing a 30 year-old man sit in a little room all day and play agar.io

Anyone here want to start a bar? I'm dead ass serious here.
The idea we would be using is going to be the future of bars.
>>1154714
>The idea we would be using is going to be the future of bars.
what is that? i think bars are a shit business. you have eat, breathe and shit 'nightlife' in order for that venture to be remotely enjoyable.
>>1154719
The new self serving model, this would be the provider we would use.
http://www.ipouritinc.com
More than 95% of bars are not doing this yet. We have free market reign in pretty much most major cities. You give the customer freedom of choice to drink as much as they want.
Throw in some nice beers, wines, ciders, or IPAs. Doesn't just have to be beer.

let me ask my parents first
>stumble upon whale-only "manipulator" chat group via some guy on poloniex
>have to prove that you're a whale to them so that you can't take advantage of exactly how they plan on manipulating what market next and literally take their money
>photoshopped my balances in olympian-tier seconds so they all think that I have balances worth millions of dollars like all of them
>also have to prove to them that you actually have it by manipulating a market so they can see for sure
>"oh shit i'm fucked"
>go ahead anyway and my fucking luck some unknown whale they don't know happened to pump it, told them that was my pump
>they trust me, holy shit
>literally had like $1500 and have made $11,000 this week
>all i have to do is check their plan sheet that they post daily, know exactly what is going to happen to every single coin
>some poor 20 year old NEET who was suicidal a month ago
at this rate i'm making like $30,000 this month.
I doubt this story.

m8 i desu don't give a fuck if you don't care. i'll buy you a fucking pizza right now i don't give a fuck. there are like 20+ guys in the chat so the chance of them figuring me out are tiny. there is an excel chart that they update daily with everyones names. i've yet to post a plan so they would probably get suspicious soon. i'm learning enough from them and making sp much that I probably will manipulate soon to cover my ass.
