Hi guys I am thinking of creating a site called Localdogecoins, the premise of the site will be where you can sell your doge coins to fellow doge lovers. Let me know what you think.

I have 4 years of experience cutting grass for a local city here, but want to work somewhere else seasonally.

I know that grass cutting isn't exactly a hot skill, but I want to know where I can make the most money doing it. I presume going to a private company would be my best bet. Does anyone know which companies are going to be best? Are there companies that cut grass on their own property that I could work at (that seems more cushy)?

I know how to lead a mowing crew. What hourly wage should I expect to make?

Or the other option is to go for something completely different and just try to spend the summer picking up a new skill. I have no idea what.

I wanted to start my own business, but I just don't have enough money and I probably couldn't get any clients anyway. At this point, I just want to make the most money as I can over the summer before I graduate college in December and begin looking for real jobs. Because mowing is the only skill I have, I figured it would be my bets bet for making the highest wage possible.

In about a months time I'll be 23 graduating with an engineering degree in Canada. I have spent 6-24 hours each day of the past 15 years playing video games. The few times I've worked on things by myself I've done them wrong over and over without realizing what I'm doing wrong. I have a poor gpa, no work experience, no internship, and poor relations with my profs. Killing myself is an option but I want to give my parents some money or some happiness that their only off spring didn't become a failure because they have done so much for me. I've heard that I may be suffering from ADHD and should consult a doctor to be tested. Most days I can't get out of bed because I'm filled with regret from all of the mistakes I've made and end up just playing more video games. The majority of people that i know that jobs lined up or are searching for jobs while I'm putting off re-writing my resume to play more games. I applied for 4 jobs while most have applied for over 20 at this point and was rejected after my only interview. I had delusions of grandeur before but I'm just a loser.

Is there anything I can do or should I just accept I can do nothing for myself or my parents and put a 12 gauge slug through my worthless brain?

Living in the past creates depression, and living in the future creates anxiety. Don't take medication because nothing is wrong with you. Ignore your grief of letting down your parents because your parents should never be disappointed with you, and if they are then ignore them for being bad unsupported parents(since they have done so much to help you I doubt they bad people, they just want to see you succeed). As for video games, here is a little red pill to maybe help you take the fun out of them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWtvrPTbQ_c You can't enjoy something if you analyze why you do it.

Now you are pushing yourself to hard to succeed, while succession is somewhat out of your hands in the approach you are taking. You can't just "I'm going to become a millionaire if if do X,Y,Z" That doesn't happen like that. You are just realizing this because you are finishing a goal that doesn't have an immediate reward as in video games, which is why you are clinging to them. You where told your whole life the path of success is education, even though there are many other forms of power. You my friend are just realizing you where lied to.

How else can I help you?

Hey /biz/

First time poster here. I've only skimmed through some threads for the past hour but it seems like you guys are actually one of the boards that knows their shit. Here's a little bit about me in terms of career prospects:

-Graduating with B.Sc. Biochemistry
-Starting a Ph.D. in organic/organometallic chemistry next fall
-looking to get into the chemical industry, but its tough these days. seems like I can use the PhD to go the route of patent agent / patent attorney seems like a great alternative if I don't make it in chemistry.
-I am pretty smart, like math, and come from a family that had stressed the importance of working your ass off if you want to get anywhere.

Give me the /biz/ crash course in how to make money.

(i might have to step away from the computer for a bit)

-Spend less than you earn; as much less as you can
-Use the difference to make more money (start a business or just invest the money in the stock market)
-Avoid getting into debt.
The rest are details.
>>
My advice I can give is this. Everytime you feel money in your hands, free your mindset for a second and realize it's literally a piece of paper. Have this type of mindset, you're golden

Kids and parents over here buy school stuff (think pens, pencils, notebooks, agendas and stuff) in the months June, July, August and even September. Do you think a webshop in this niche will be profitable? Currently almost all of these people go to physical shops but as we know, those are dying out. Thoughts?

ETH will not be rewarded the same way once we go Proof of Stake. I am unsure but I think Homestead was that milestone. Ethereum is POS now.

Wrong, it's still PoW. PoS will come with Serenity, which is a few releases away.

If in murrika, you'll probably be okish. If in Germany: kill urself, my man.

I do have a PhD in logic with 5,5 years work experience in it consulting and am still looking to find a proper job. I've done a little over 250 applications and had 3 (real) interviews and about 5 phone interviews.
>>
>>1143639
What is logic, is it closer to Computer Science or Philosophy in US terms?
>>
In Germany it's part of phil for historical reasons. Since we believed it to be a brilliant idea to get rid of all the intelligenzija by establishing nazi regime, smart people left. He kept the whole phenomenology/idealism bullshit tier academics, philosophy is still even by today continental. Mathematical logic is quasi non-existent here.

On paper my degree is shit, although what I personally did was math logics for sure. My field is model theory. HR-sluts just see the PhD in philosophy and therefore pass the application to the dustbin. Doesn't help that i wrote about Tarski in my Ba thesis, got into the fast track PhD program and did a PhD thesis about model theory.

Basically, I'm done for.

everybody knows is a scam but the amounts of carbon based fuels must be kept at a minimum cus they are none renewable once they are burned they are gone forever and by creating a false flag scenario you can keep weak countries from using it.

also if you let the Jews running the oil empire they'll burn down to the last huff of gas before they allow need technologies to be created.

plus it does affect the earth more or less, the scam is actually believing we can do something about it.

pro tip, we can't, will burn down to the last shard of coal by the time we are through with this planet

Now, what are your philosophies on business practices? trying to make a tread for moralistic business

>They get decent jobs with a high degree of stability and pensions
>They save thriftily, but cannot into personal finance beyond that
>Never invested until the late 90's
>Lost over half their wealth to inflation over the course of their lives
>Opportunity cost was 6-7 figures
>Still wound up home owners in a nice suburb worth six figures
>Still wound up with over $300k+ in investments and savings
>Missed numerous chances to swoop down on highly profitable investments without much associated risk thanks to insider connections (military, bank, government)
>Passed on them in spite of protected status making them low risk to reward ratio
>Had they been even moderately financially literate they'd own assets worth several million instead of half a million in total

Getting rich for their generation was, in fact, easy mode. I believe that as a consequence the easy, seemingly risk free flow of money for them through their incomes made them intellectually lazy and needlessly risk averse in their portfolio to the point that it crippled them. Any similar stories?

> Not that there would be any given that she was in 24-hour care towards the end

> Too many kids/grandkids on that side for there to be much left for me anyway

Boomers ruined my career, but at least I have a job and a nice car, now.
And at least I learned how to not spend money due to years of not having any. Managed to avoid throwing huge amounts into my first car as well, because I just got sick of fixing it and did some basic maths. Turned out, paying to finance a newer car that didn't require repairs all the time worked out cheaper than owning an old shitheap outright, and I'm going to have a couple of years of payment-free trouble-free motoring after, and some resale value left in it for the next one.

I don't dare save much funds because inflation's being kept artificially low. One fuckup by government could send everything spiralling into hyperinflation, or if the communists get in again they'll try and seize everything.
