Hello guys,
What do you think of daytrading?
Is it possible to make (constant) profit or is it more like gambling?
Looking forward to your opinions
>>1150296
You need a lot more capital than going long for various reasons. Usually that means heavy leverage and steeper penalties for underperforming. When you have to pay that money back -LITERALLY - at the end of each trading day it is a lot more stressful. Not for everyone. Not for me.
Are you already trading under heavy leverage? if not, start there first
I'm only trading on a forex demo account at the moment.
Are the trading commissions so high that it decreases the profit that hard?
>>1150315
How much capital do you have?
How much do you need to make annually to survive on?
My state sucks and it says that NY doesn't allow me to make an account for this. Any workarounds? There have to be, right?
>>1150260
I'm not even American, I and I can make a Poloniex account, and trade and withddraw, just fine.
>>1150260
I guess NY is at least good for something, huh? They saved you from making a terrible mistake.
>>1150260
You can use my Poloniex account to trade.
Give me your e-mail. I am an honest person.
Think it's bout time you bought some land and earned yourself a title
>>1149783
but I am a lowly commoner. How can I get a title?
>>1149786
buying land for 29pounds or some shit here check it out http://www.highlandtitles.com/buy-your-plot/ was thinking about doing it because having lord on my passport or what ever would look sweet as fuck and i heard stories where people get upgraded plane tickets because of their title
>>1149802
I have seen these kinds of things before, how legit is the actual ownership of the land?
Explain to me again how MACD swing trading with ETH is not a viable strategy?

BTW, I'm using this chart:

Basic MACD (10, 26, 9)
Please answer you faggots this is important.
seems legit.
>/biz/ founded while the DOGE hype was real
>bubble poops the same day
>/biz/ said it's time to buy the dip with ETH
>ETH dumped at 9$, 40% loss in a few days
>/biz/ started hyping SYS
>SYS went 40% under hours later
Someone should open a portfolio that basically follows the direct opposite direction of what the vocal majority in /biz/ suggests to do.
when did you think that this was anything but an advertising board for fraudulent stock
>Anonymous posters tell people to buy some fucking stock
>Literally anonymous, not even recognized users, anyone could just use proxies to shill at will
>"hurrr durrr this seems like a good investment opportunity! Let's buy!"
>>1149672
are yu a New fag?
/biz/ says buy sys at 1900, i buy and wait go to the 3800 and sell
See /BIZ/ give me 80% profit
Right now on /biz/
>buy eth they said
>buy sys they said
i want off this ride
Does this signify the time to buy?
>>1149493
Hmm, you tell me.
How to rise my kid and still in /biz/?
> inb4: won't pay latina babysitter to raise my boy. Wanna raise him myself.
Take him to work with you.
Teach him all about the market and how the world works from a young age. By teenage years he'll be a natural biznessman.
>>1149404
> Take him to work with you
work at home so... yes
> Teach him all about the market
> he'll be a natural biznessman
already scheduled
My concern: is possible to keep growing my business while taking care of a kid?
>>1149421
Sure, it doesn't take that much work especially if you work at home.
Need to take him outside for fresh air tho and stuff
Hey guys,
This thread is to inspire each other with potential business ideas. I'm convinced one doesn't need world-changing ideas/products to make good money.
The current fields which I think are interested:
- App messenger. Whatsapp and LINE are all nice, but I feel there could be space for a "funny" messenger where you can share your memes with your best friends, do all kind of funny graphic shit. It's very vague but I have a feeling there's something.
- ETH apps: I'm kidding I still don't understand how it works really
- Tinder competition: I feel like Tinder is already too old and doesn't offer good enough features. Some kind of CHECKOUT feature would be great, you'd be able to talk to the girls in the same coffee shop, gym etc.
Come up with ideas or just general trends.
Also, am I the only one who browses new startups on Angelist and think "meh I don't see anything truely exciting here"?
Seems like a lot of new startups are just not so interesting anymore, or maybe I'm jaded.
>>1149340
It's because truely inovative people don't go to a stupid TV show to sell their ideas.
>>1149344
Angelist is not a TV show. It's a platform where startups and investors meet.
>technical analysis is a hoax
/biz/ actually believes this
>>1149218
Why don't you prove it isn't?
>>1149223
Already been proved. Try to keep up. If you don't know how that happened you need to read more about it. That's why Goldman Sachs uses it. By the way, they have more money than you and I as a result of using it.
BUY NOW THAT YOU CAN,
YOU ALREADY MISS ETH,
DON'T LET IT HAPPEND AGAIN
TO THE MOOOOOOOOOOOON
>>1149213
it's looking like shit atm idk what you cucks were going on about
>>1149233
I know at least etherm had "reasons" why it was going places. This shit has nothing. It's a pump and dump, that's the reason it's going to the moon and we don't need anything more.
Buy ETH dont listen to this fantasy warriors
I've never had this much extra money, I'll be blowing a bit over $1,000 on drugs hookers and gambling, what should I invest the rest in?
penny stocks
>>1149123
Such as?
>>1148921
Buy Monero. Thank me later.
How do feel about Dave ?
Decent advice if you're a wagecuck with no self control that thinks credit is unlimited magic money.
The shilling is off the charts though. He shills managed mutual funds because he is sponsored by them
He's still a boomer that can barely turn a computer on though. Remember that he makes all of his money as a motivational speaker, not through financial coaching. All of his wealth comes from books and public speaking events.
>>1148938
This desu
His advice is good for the average middle class American. It's not so much "how to get rich" as it is "how to not drastically Fuck up with your money"
>>1148938
I read one of his books. It just seemed so basic that I thought he was just telling me to do common sense things that I already did.
That God shit gets old... But he banks on those dumb evangelicals

Should I pay for / do a patent search before filing for a preliminary patent or is it safer to just file the preliminary patent (first)?
might as well
>>1148835
This is being a little paranoid, but what happens if someone files a patent in the meantime, or my patent lawyer thinks this is such a good idea that he calls his buddy in the next state over and tells him to file a patent for it?
Bamp.
Hi /biz/, first-time credit card user here. I was just wondering, what exactly is the penalty for closing down credit cards? I can easily pay it off before closing it. I've never missed a payment, and I've probably had it for 6 months or so.
Reason: there's a better one that I should've signed up for initially, and I don't want to have any more than I absolutely need to.
The best credit score to have is ZERO. Debit card all the way. Pay for what you want with what you HAVE.
>>1148796
Why close it? Just dont charge anything else on it. When you close accounts that shortens your total positive credit payment history and also lowers your credit limit. This has a negative impact on your score.
>>1148803
Dont listen to this. A good credit score is beneficial not just to get loans and credit cards but some employers and most landlords will check your credit score as part of a background check. Even if you never want to mortgage a home, good luck ever renting an apartment/house on your own without some type of credit history.
How to save money more efficiently? Any good tips?
>inb4 don't spend
Also which currency is the most beneficial for saving money?
Platinum and gold.
>>1148788
It this supposed to be a frugal thread? It's a weirdly worded question OP.
Buy food in bulk, cook bulk meals that can be re-heated over the week.
A 2kg (4.5 lbs) boulder blade costs around $25. Its enough meat to feed a single person lunch and dinner for over a week and can be frozen after it's cooked. Also it's not shitty chicken and you can make pan gravy from the juices with cornflower that will also last.
Review all your monthly bills or monthly direct debits regularly. You'll be surprised how much spend creep there is. A subscription for this, some extra data for your phone. $5 here and there adds up to $1000s over a year.
You don't need air-conditioning. I live where it gets to 107° every summer and a pedestal fan is enough. Unfortunately i have a gf living with me now so it's harder to control the usage.
Try to catch-up with friends at home or in-house somewhere. You'll have as much fun drinking $1 beers at home as you would drinking out and you'll save thousands a year.
Most importantly, put money away at the beginning of every pay period, right after you receive your income and never touch it. Re-program yourself that this money is not yours anymore.
>>1148861
>frozen meat
absolutly disgusting
