I'm in the same boat kinda. I have a CS degree but I want to work more blue colour industries. I'm looking into mining and forestry. Lots gps/gis and other systems to fuck around with or be the only IT guy on a remote camp.

No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

Otherwise you should be using Yahoo/Google finance or even Stocktwits for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

How do I go about this? By the way, I plan on selling 20 acres of it as soon as possible (hoping to get the entire $12,000 back by reselling that third), leaving me with a nice 40-acre square (which is large enough to legally justify & allow pumping 1800 gallons of water a day out of the water table via wells).
I'll have mineral rights.
This is also quite close to where Burning Man happens every year (haven't been there yet).
How do I leverage this into money? Cover it with solar panels? Use it as collateral against a huge loan? All serious (and some facetious) replies are welcome.

/biz/ my family is trying to meme me in the ass. They're asking for my money to open a restaurant in some random location.
so I just acquired $10,000 from the passing of my grandmother, I didn't know her well but she gave a lot of people in the family a similar amount of money, among whom my parents received some, my brothers received some, etc, but apparently I received a few thousand dollars more than the others.
I'm working a part time job just trying to keep busy, don't know if I can go back to school, just got out of a mandatory psych ward treatment, I don't have close friends or anyone I can open up to, I just live with this family for now. No connection to them anymore.
What would you recommend I learn, whether it be in Uni or through available resources (wiki, library, etc) that would give me the skills/tools to generate income passively or with minimal input? Should I learn programming and make apps? I'm an autist (literally) and I just want to play my cello and be lonely (not good enough for an orchestra yet).
