Why are you shitposting and not getting rich ?
>>

You need to hope in the time it takes to purchase and transfer the price won't change.

That's called an arbitrage and many people are doing it. You won't get rich because you'll run into liquidy issues really quick.

So /Bizbrehs/ is there still a way to get in on some value with this Brexit thing?

I did dumb a lot in crypto's so I did get something out of there, but both Forex and stocktrading is new to me.

What did you do here, and do you still think there's value to be had?

To answer your question, cryptos will probably still go up, but for the most part, nah it's too late to profit from brexit.

Hey /biz/, I'm thinking of starting a YouTube to complement my website. It's a languages website, so the videos would be about resources to learn the language.

Production quality would be 10/10, I would use all techniques listed here before (colorful, pictures of human faces, to the point) and make the videos short for a good retention rate. Wouldn't show my face though, just voice.

However, I would only upload about once a week or two because this isn't a vlog channel where I can just keep putting out content.

What worries me is that due to not constantly uploading videos, profit potential won't be as good. I'm going to spend a lot of time to make these videos be the best they can be, so if this doesn't have potential then what's the point right?

I guess what I'm asking for is tips on how to increase viewership and monetize this YT idea.

General YT tips welcome too!

Whats your website? I need to learn arabic because its hard to get along with your managers here in dubai if you can speak their language :(
>>
>>1338866
http://www.weeklylanguage.com/

However I haven't updated in some time due to exams. I'm starting to upload new languages from the following Monday again!

I don't have Arabic yet but it's the one I'll do next.

Any tips on improving the website welcome too :)
>>

>>1338874
Truthfully, the key phrases part doesn't actually show you how to pronounce the words, and if you dont know the alphabet for that language it can be a problem, the rest of the course is literally just links to other resources, which I haven't checked out yet. Idk man, I'm doing well with an app I use, cant remember the name for the life of me but its really good. As for youtube, im pretty sure you need to be a youtube partner to start to make money off your monetized videos, which you need a certain ammount of subscribers to do anyway. And the rate for money made per view on monetized videos is 1.60 per 1000 views, so you will need to be getting quite a few views to even make it worth while. Just advertise on facebook, and language learning forums as much as you can, go on Quora and websites like that and link your website/youtube channel with a good response post. Good luck doe my man, good luck with exams too.

I am about to take over a small business in the UK. The industry is a bit of a niche but there are a couple hundred similar businesses across the UK almost all poorly run with no ambition, who like the people I am taking over from seem to be against running their business well for profit.

I feel like there is a real opportunity to turn this business into a market leader in the UK . Does anyone have any resources and books for how to create a big brand from almost nothing in an empty market.

- Anyone here have a successful and durable experience in forex trading ?
- What's techniques did you use ?
- With how much money did you begin ?
- Gives me advice for a beginner like me, please.

I am really sad when i read specialized forums in forex, why?
Because all the trading journal I read ends the same way :
They end up losing all their gains and have their account to 0 dollars, after 6 months or 1 year.

I need testimonials from people who really live forex successfully since several years.
http://forums.babypips.com/newbie-island/70214-truth-about-forex-you-cant-become-rich.html

I think this method is the best to learn forex or index cfd:

Depositing tiny amount less than € 200 and try to make it grow until 1000, once in 1000 reached 900 withdraw.
With the remaining € 100, try to grow them again to € 1,000, remove 900 ... etc.
Do it 10 times successfully
Instead of dropping € 50,000, losing after six months, redeposit € 20,000 and lose again after one week.

Warning : this thread is only for winner in forex market.

Hey guys please help a random junior level college student out

Im trying to decide if I should dual major in accounting and finance
Or accounting and information systems

I think finance would be more interesting but I go to a tier 2 state school so I dont think it has the connections to get into investment trading and what else would you do with a finance degree that accounting wouldn't cover?

I dont find Info systems as interesting but I think the extra technological skills would give me would give me a better edge in the local private industry if it was combined with accounting.

What do you guys think? I'm not even for sure if I want to stay in the business field my whole life and get my CPA so I'm just trying to give me the best shot of finding a decent job. Hopefully over 40k starting.

Information systems. Trust me.
>>
>>1338556
finance will be harder but more beneficial in the long run. accounting and finance sets you up for more specified career path that will always be valuable.

Information systems will give you a degree which won't be as valuable because it is not specified to either direction and they do not compliment each other very well. You will most likely dropping one to concentrate on the other.
>>
>>1338561
Can you be a little more specific why?
I'm leaning towards that as well simply because people in upper levels of company's seem to have a higher understandings of computers and computer networks

I was also told HR people who look at applicants see an accounting and finance combo as redundant

Does anyone on /biz/ live in an apartment? I did 1 year of community college 8 hours away in illinois and moved to tennessee with my mom and now I want to move back up there. But I cant find even a studio apartment for less than $900 a month plus amenaties. I am poor too and didnt really wana spend over 600 because I will be a full time student plus I will need to work to fucking live. I could stay here with my mom but I hate tennessee, there are no girls to be with, and its tons of hicks and blacks where I live.

My question is, how can I afford this? There was one for 610, but it was a restricted income (section *) so I am assuming it is for blacks? Can I get in there you think? I will have no income because ill be new to the area but I have plenty of money in the bank for it.

Surf craigslist for a bit, check for apartments and people renting out a home.

When it comes to cheap apartments, they are hit or miss. Sometimes they are great and sometimes you ended up getting robbed at gunpoint.

For me one of the barriers, was trying to bring a girl back to a cheap apartment, it's definitely gonna go better when your place is nice.

Also, location is everything. Make location your top priority, you wanna be where your work is and where your play is.

You wish it was gambling since then you you might actually make money, most people loose money since they have to pay commission.

Stick to stocks and avoid any type of options.

Remember, you're average and won't beat the market so just ride it.

Hey /biz/. So I am currently in university studying psychology and my goal is to get into medical school and eventually specialize in psychiatry, dermatology or family medicine. Regardless of what I do, I won't have any student debts.

That being said I want a back up plan in case I don't get into medical school. One other option for me would be to do graduate school for a psychology specialization I like to get a masters degree and PhD.

But I want one more option I could do with just a bachelors degree, and I have been looking a little more into data analyst jobs. There is a fair amount of statistical data analysis in psychological research, and I am in the process of taking a psychological stats analysis course.

How easy (or difficult) is it to land a job doing data analysis coming from my background? Ideally I would like to make at least 40-50k starting out.

Thanks

>my goal is to get into medical school

Is that your dream? It sounds like you are focusing in a lot of stuff. If you want to go to medical school you should be studying for the Mcat.

Data Analyst..how much programming experience do you have? Please tell me you have more experience than SPSS and excel.
>>
>>1338562

>Is that your dream?

Yes, it is. My dream is to have a career as a physician. I have an MCAT prep book I am reading and I plan to take MCAT prep courses.

As for programming experience, not much at all. I was thinking of doing a minor in statistics though. What do you think about this?
>>
>>1338565
Definitely recommend reading the MCAT if you want to go to med school. Hope you understand how incredibly hard getting into med school is.

A lot of data analyst jobs are going to programmers who know data mining and data science tools.

If you want to do data analyst I would recommend data mining minor/classes instead of statistics (data mining is just statics).

How much did you make during the Brexit shenanigans lads?

Personally I voted leave and thought we would win by maybe 5%, so the margin of victory was narrower than I expected but the result was still the same and luckily the market was basically sure Brexit wouldn't happen and Remain was priced in, so the shock was about as big as it could possibly have been.

I'm up just under £7k so far and very pleased and confident that this trade will keep on giving. Very much long sterling after buying at $1.3470
