just cause some of the wall street jobs come from people who work in the new york fnancial sector doesnt mean no one else can get in on it

find whatever capital your state/province has, get a job there doing what you want to do in new york, BE REAL GOOD at it, build a resume, get the skills then either transfer or get a job there

its a bit of a workaround and effort but its doable

I knew it was competitive to get into corporate finance or investment banking but jesus christ, I'd have thought I'd be in a decent position compared to most other applicants for an internship.
