Alright /biz/, I need help.
I want to change, financially.
Let me describe my situation.
I graduated highschool in 2011. Since then, I've had to work factory jobs just to stay alive (parents are gone). From 2011 to current year I've only made around $19-20k a year. By winter of 2015 I finally saved up enough to get a car (no credit = no cosigner, so huge down payment), so I decided I would try to go to college. Filled out FAFSA, found out I'm only qualified for like $900 of assistance per year. So I'm fucked with loans. Great. So now I'm attending college for Computer Science, just finished my first year. I've applied to numerous different locations, but I'm still stuck with factory jobs no matter how hard I try or how hard I tweak my resume.
I guess my main question is, how can I escape god-awful manual-labor factory work and low pay? Do I just have to stick it out for 3 more years until I graduate? Because it's killing my soul, and last year before deciding to go to college I almost did kill myself.
The whole "working your way up to supervisor" thing is just a meme in factories. I've been in several factories and have seen at least a hundred hard workers that had been there for 20+ years working hard and not been promoted unless they were related to the higher-ups.
I've tried the stock market but so far haven't had very much luck (not a whole lot of risk capital, because bills and loans).
Any ideas as to how I can un-fuck my situation?
qt on frog not related.

If you want to go on the employment road, go to as many interviews as you can.
If you have some available cash and want to start a business it depends on our country's market.
You can always trade bitcoins with one rule (buy low sell high) or apply that rule to a product that you know well.
It's all about risks you are willing to take anon.
Where are you located OP?
>>1336806
Midwest of the U.S.
I have 1k, I need to double it. With lots of stocks taking a shit recently I think now is a good time.
What the fuck are you investing in on Monday? I am thinking about buying a lot of $SAN shares. Thoughts?
>>1336703
think you're better off with KNPD
>>1336703
TSE:SES
>>1336713
Slightly expensive but I do see a bit more potential and gains from the graphs.. Hmm
If trade is so uber important, explain this map.
>note the biggest GDPs doing the least trading
>note the trade-heavy shithole countries
Explain, globalists
>>1336700
So you saying you started economic 101 and didn't understand a shit, so you are asking anime image board for help?
>>1336716
>asking for help
>demanding globalists explain their bullshit lies
Pick one, shill
countries that do more trade have weak economies, so they risk it on trade assets rather than their failing currencies.
Now that Brexit is official, what's your plan for profiting off Deportugal, Austria la Vista, or the Czechout?

WHAT THE FUCK

>average british palate.jpg
I plan to start exporting shit to both Europe and Britain in the hopes of lessened competition because they're both fucked and GB will probably suck dick to insure that their imports and exports continue.
Why do rich people put their kids in this school?
Don't they realize how pointless a Music degree is?
Rich kids dont care, they do what they love. Their kids however will have to get real jobs because they will blow what their grandfather worked for.
>>1336545
Thats only if the father of the rich kids is a cuck who lets em do it. I'll be damned if I let my sperm blow my years of blood, sweat and tears.
A degree from Julliard has the same level of prestige as Harvard. I've seen a lot of these kids working in wall street and corporate America.
Any tips on getting a (non-minimum) wage job? Websites, entry level positions to look out for, etc.?
get out of your fucking bedroom
>>1336494
I have a job already, mate. Just looking for advice on getting a better job.
there are a few ways.. you can create a better job within your company if you have a set of skills that can be applied, and you can convince a manager to greenlight it. you can create a better job for yourself, like freelance design, marketing, etc. get creative
the easiest way is to know someone though. start looking for people you know that can connect with all kinds of people. for example, i meet regularly with an owner of an independent bookstore. he has the chance to talk to people of all levels of society; from meth heads to doctors and lawyers, juvenile delinquents to eccentric millionaires.. he is one of a few 'doors' to the world at large that i know. make friends with those kinds of people and you will get a connection somewhere. then you have to show them you can create value for them and their company, and you're in
Kik is scumbag company.
1. Lies about their demographic and changes their app age rating
2; If they advertise as 12+, they don't stop all the nudes going on
3. Clearly build a business model to go against supervising kids
4. Used email harvesting in the beginning, earning them around 2 million users first 2 weeks in business
Because tons of people love it and want it to go away.
>>1336473
Don't want it to go away*
Sorry, a little tipsy from celebrating my post Brexit gains.
I don't care, if he's successful he's laughing, but email harvesting is the most ass backwards thing to do now a days, nobody trusts or cares for spammy emails, I highly doubt 2 million bought that shit from one email.
do any of you have any experience with bitcoin miners?
LINK UP 5 COMPUTERS COME ON!
>>1336444
No, it's not worth it.
Bitcoin mining is largely unprofitable now.
It MAY be worth mining with an ASIC with Litecoin, Eth, or one of the others and doing it smartly.
This is of course assuming energy is cheap where you live, or some other source.
>>1336444
yeah I do
>graduate BS in Computer Science
>still can barely code to get Software Dev jobs
>take job implementing Microsoft CRM and ERP
>offer is still 71k/year
Should I still try to become a code monkey so I can make money? It seems like CRM and ERP has a low ceiling right?
shit, i uploaded the wrong pic.
I can't do anything right
>>1336372
It goes up from there with experience.
Fuck that, went into cyber security, 75k/y
Great prospects.
Is it a good idea as a starter to invest in a small African country's economy that seems to be doing amazing? (Ghana, Nigeria, Botswana, just to name a few)
>>1336366
what do you think, dog...
>>1336402
What does this mean? No?
Just follow the country that China moved it's factories to and pick the one with least corruption
Work from home? Anyone making a living wage working from home? How?
>>1336311
Wife makes about $6k/month doing freelance writing. But she was making over $100k/year as an editor before. She stays home with the baby now though and works maybe 20 hours a week. She is very good at networking and has a masters degree in some bullshit writing discipline.
>>1336693
What kind of freelance writing?
>>1336693
that sounds so freaking badass. everyone i know who has a real career working from home started in the office though, built a strong network of clients and colleagues, and eventually went freelance but took all those clients etc.
if you are starting from home it's a real uphill battle and 100k/year will take quite some time to reach.
GG hype riders Bitcoin is going to find its equal Librium in the coming months. No more volatility.
10 years from now, if bitcoin becomes a global standard, how much do you believe a coin would be worth?
>>1336224
~$600k
>>1336224
BTC will be the equivalent to massive gold bars. It will only be used by governments to make large purchases, etc. LTC will be the equivalent to the new currency used by consumers.
Is this a shit stock to buy?
Seems too niche and unnecessary for normies, especially with phone cams being close in quality
It's extremely cheap stock right now, but will it even go anywhere?
All the GoPro hype seems to have disappeared. /b/ careful friend

What can be done about the mexican peso /biz/?
all of those poor countries will be switching to ethereum in the next 5 years because of it's functionality that will allow for purchases to be made with homemade credit cards or retinal scans or whatever else anyone wants to write on the platform.
venezuela and a bunch of other places down there are already switching to crypto and it's helping a little. even outdated bitcoin is better than what they have down there through their governments.
>>1336132
>retinal scans
>mexico
didn't think this one through, did ya buddy?
>>1336132
>all of those poor countries will be switching to ethereum in the next 5 years
