Non-Motion Control set up:

Curving punches feels less natural and the game just isn't as engaging in this mode. Still, it's great to have the option and it's likely that different players will find their own preference.

Streak grinding in FFXII will always be my favorite. Music, girls, hybrid action/turn-based interface, plus tweaking gambits to be as effective as possible gives the satisfaction of gain without too much of the hassle of repetition.
