When you say most games do you just mean SOTC and Max Payne? Those are the only 3 I can remember running horribly.

They had the best controller that gen, at the very least.

PS2 is a weirdly balanced console in the context of its generation. I'd argue the Xbox and the GCN had exclusives that were generally better than the ones on PS2 on average, but the PS2 just had MORE good games in general
