Yeah? The other voice actors are shit too. The plot is shit, the characters are shit, the setting is shit. The only one who takes MGS seriously is Kojima and it's pretty clear he's the delusional one. No one thinks his writing is actually good.

The series isn't loved for its good writing or acting or whatever, but because it's cheesy, ridiculous and hype, and Hayter's gruff cool-guy voice is a perfect match. It's part of the charm.

It will be this new form of "it's retro but not really, it's just a modern FPS but slightly faster" type thing. Granted it's still better than the cover based pop heads from behind a chest high wall games.

This reminds me I need to play Dead Space 3. Bought it on sale a while back and installed it, but got busy with other games and real life crap.

I know Dead Space 3 isn't really much of a horror game anymore since it focuses more on the action, and I heard it's even a open world somehow. Still though, I want to complete the trilogy and I think I'll enjoy it.

Play XIII-2 and LR, motherfuckers! Nonlinear structure, time limits, huuuge amount of pokemans and costumes with skill trees and abilities, customization is one of the best in FF titles. Absolute goldmine for gameplayfags and theorycrafters.

Storyfags may also apply (carefully), but I am just a sucker for anything time travel (13-2).

Play XIII only if you care about the characters; however, some background information is provided in-game in 13-2 and LR.
