Prototype series

The story in the first game was actually alright if you look at it on paper, it was just told in a very messy way.

I liked it, really rough around the edges but I enjoyed both games

As for the game, it does frantic fast combat shockingly well. It's a surprising amount of fun to play as Mercer and run from mutants while trying to kill rocket launching soldiers. The core combat itself is really bare bones but it's inoffensive.

The boss battles are pretty trash though. It's all hit and run tactics with Green and the final boss.

I liked Prototype 1 a lot. I hated the second one, i only remember 2 things about it, one, the nigga smashes a computer at some point because he is too dumb to use one, and second, they made it so your armor form was cosmetic DLC.

Oh also they turned mercer into a retard.

It's popcorn entertainment, I finished both of them but I remember pretty much fuck all about them and will probably never play them again.

Hell even their existence had escaped my memory till I saw this thread. I wonder why it never took off as a series, it was one of the first in this whole new wave of "OPEN WORLD EVERYTHING" we are experiencing.

It had to compete with Infamous, Infamous was more polished, it had Sony backing it up so it had better marketting, and in a lot of ways it was better, so Infamous ate that market and left nothing for Prototype.

Then they fucked up with Prototype 2 and i think Activision closed the studio, so that's that. Personally i didn't like Infamous much, except for the TWEEST, i didn't see it coming and i thought it was pretty cool, Infamous 2 however was pretty good, never played the others.

It's a good game but it was released among Infamous and Web of Shadows.

Trying to fight a PS3 exclusive and Spiderman was a lost cause, I am surprised they made a sequel.

I fucking loved them. One of my favourite PS2 games was Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.
Prototype is literally (actual literally) a carbon copy from that game, also made by the same studio. However, the entire blending in and acquiring info was so fucking neat. It was basically the game I loved improved in many different ways.
Prototype 2 was alright too. Personally didn't have that magic for me anymore, but I still really enjoyed it a lot.

The first was fun. The second was boring shit.
