Because most sony console owners dismiss the mario and every other nintendo series as "kiddy" that they never played a decent platformer. Then they go play Crash (which by the same standards should also be a kiddy game but hey, it is on playstation so it isnt) and they suck ass and say it is too hard. These are probably the same people that only play the shittier games on the ps4 library like fifa and movie games like uncharted while never touching most gems like BB.

I mean, I do occasionally go to tournaments and stuff that I have to pay money to enter. I try to play competitively and I honestly would if I could, I'm just not good enough.

I do pay to enter tournaments to use Roy and then buster out in the first or second round though. I play my favorites, I don't pick top tiers. Though people have accused me of being contrarian because I don't really enjoy playing any of the high tier characters. I tried Diddy, Cloud, Mario, Mewtwo, and Meta knight and I just didn't find any of them fun.

I don't play exclusively shit characters though, my co main with Roy is Olimar and he's a perfectly viable yet not overbearing character.

They go in and talk into a fucking microphone. The work they do on the game isn't even near what the rest have to do. It should be expected that you need to get multiple voice acting gigs to make a living, and that doing ten hours of voice work for a game that sells millions doesn't mean you get millions yourself.
