Why does /v/ like Sunshine?

I played it recently on my GCN and didn't enjoy it at all. It didn't quite feel like a platform game. The best levels are the ones where you get inside a cave or similar and have to jump around colorful platforms without using the water jet. Moving around with the backpack wasn't fun at all. Picking blue coins wasn't fun.
Other than this Mario, I have only played SM64. There you had very different scenarios, everyone had a different theme, but in Sunshine they all had the same tone and didn't feel interesting or unique. It was a dissapointing game for me, and not because I got old, because I've been playing other GCN games and I've enjoyed them a lot. Like Rogue Squadron 2 or Tales of Symphonia.
