>play your self insert

Find a flaw
The flaw is that this is a troll thread.

The flaw with this is that you're not actually having fun you just think you are
>Playing Exalted 3e
>Make self-insert Brawl + Resistance Grapple tank
>Using the Lighting Attack Prana with throw/savage as my signature move
>So far I have only strangled 2 women to death and suplexed one off the top of a tower.
Uses the 5th edition of Dungeons & Dragons and the Plane Shift articles by Wizards of the Coast. Also to help simulate the power of Planeswalker characters they will be build using the gestalt variant rule from D&D 3.5.

>make a cool new enemy

Recycle the cool mechanics into a new enemy, the player's won't know.
>>54984323
Literally this.
>>54984284
>make a cool new enemy
>have unique combat mechanics for it
>plan the reveal carefully
>kills the party in three rounds
>they didn't even stand a chance
Had to bullshit my way out of TPKing them and promise I would try to balance things better, but it was mostly random chance in my defense, they rolled terribly and the giant wheel skeleton rolled very well.
Why do gods and higher beings tolerate the existence of the undead in fantasy settings already?
Isn't their mere existence an insult to the power of those supposed to reign supreme over mortals?
Why don't more enlightened mortals ever see the inaction of the gods toward the unliving as a confession of weakness and choose to become the ultimate fedoralords by transitioning to liches?
Gods don't like to act directly if they don't have to. They'd rather let the mortals handle things.
Rolled 19 (1d20)
1. Because of MAD
2. Because not all gods are Good-aligned
3. Because not everyone can become liches
4. Because liches don't have penises
5. Because OP's don't have penises
6. Because you touch yourself at night, despite lacking said penis
Roll is for how big of a faglord you are.
Gods are small, local, minor in power and influence.

Help me out here /tg/ I am a virgin to rpgs and require the hate-soaked "wisdom" that your experience brings. I'm going to start applying to groups on roll 20 (small town 'straya. There has never been a group here) and I'm concerned with inevitable alignment clashes.
Coming from a Bethesda heavy gaming background and lots of freeform role-play I tend to lean aggressively into my brand of neutral evil. A very "the reward for killing this merchant I hate needs to outweigh the downsides" mindset. Now understanding that evil is not the norm for groups I'm willing to amend this somewhat, but legitimate heroics don't mesh so well with me. Call it edgy but I'd honestly rather not play something motivated by heroic desire or atypical "I wanna be the very best" So what I'm asking is an alignment recommendation and thoughts on two character backgrounds I've come up with.
First is the directionless waste. Somebody lacking the motivation or dreams to do anything themselves and instead ends up dragged into the orbit of more forceful personalities and ends up staying because any direction is arguably better then nothing. The character would be a bard- because learning to sing and play little bongo drums sounded like it would be easy.
Second is the amateur dualist. Someone who travels the biggest settlements within two or three weeks travel of their home trying to line up tournaments. Lacking the success or money management to travel any further they end up with several months of downtime every year and end up needing to do freelance work to make ends meet. An adventure could change that
Assuming we're talking DnD here, you can still have an "evil" character of sorts, or an asshole neutral character. They just need to realize that helping the party and doing "good" is best for everyone at the time. Can't take over the world/murder everyone if everyone including you winds up dead. Be the pragmatist who suggests taking the darker but more efficient route. Never force it, but act as that devil on the shoulder.
>>54983865
I'm afraid of having the NE tag held against me. On the other hand it does streamline adventuring logic.
>I joined the party because it's easier to watch my behaviour and enjoy 4 times the bodies then it is to go it alone
You're a faggot. And your first idea is literally the worst thing for a GM to deal with.
Tell me about the Lost and the Damned, /tg/
>>54983692
I be damned, they are lost for good!
Does anyone play them? Why would whole units turn to chaos? Any cool lore about them? We always hear about demons and CSMs, but never the actual grunts
>>54983985
People go bonkers all the time or are grown up on chaos worlds. They are pretty much the regular mortal soldiers of chaos.
Quality can be everything from cultists to scion.
>It was that day the monsters won. It was on that day, that the sun died
>>54983619
>grass, trees, brambles and bushes never grew back
Please, no dying sun settings, the Black Sun generals dying out still hurts.
But anyway
>the monsters require total darkness to reproduce.
>total
>darkness
>Vampires easily wiped smaller settlements off the map. Most people became food or added to the swarm, but the few who escaped fled to the major cities.
>Party meets in tavern
>Proceeds to spend first 3 sessions drinking in game and irl and swapping stories from their respective characters' pasts
That would be dope.
>>54983487
>Crate impromptu combat scenes and puzzles and encounters for some of the past stories as 'flashback' moments with on-the-spot designed characters of each character's friends to give to the other characters at the table with possible rewards/detriments and losses for failures and successes
>This one guy ended up losing his friend and an eye, this one guy found some ancient artefact he's still not sure what to do with, this one guy actually saw your guy this one time before when they were both ambushed on a convoy
>After the first three sessions it zooms back in on the tavern scene and they do something
>>54983958
>It is then revealed the tavern the players are at is actually a temporary one in a military camp as they await some battle
>Either camp is ambushed, they set out on their main combat or they decide 'screw this we want to be adventurers again' and shit happens I guess depending on what they decide to do
I have un-comfed it all.
Last session of the campaign I'm playing in, I got so in character that I actually started to feel the emotions my character was supposed to be feeling at the time.
Is this normal?
is this what being a good roleplayer feels like?
Yep, you were in the zone, anon. Pretty cool, huh?
>>54983520
It's pretty awesome, but also kinda sucks because the first session where it happens is the one where the DM called our bluff on putting off the plot hook sitting in front of us.
Shit went very, very south about an hour or two in. Y'all want storytime?
>>54983542
Sure, sounds interesting.
i want to run this as a game, how would i do it? is there a system already out there that is already made for playing hobos?
Secondly, what kind of fucking campaign could you even run? or should it be a loose connection of episodes and fun adventures. i like that idea better.
a work of beauty for those who haven't seen it (thanks anon for showing me this)
