hellos, if any of you guys play mtg and know of any "when you sacrifice" effects in white and or black please tell me, i'm trying to make an aristocrat commander deck

Yo my dude Wizards has a free resource known as Gatherer on their website which allows you to search for cards with different specifications. You're going to get some hate for this post, but just try to be better in the future.
It'll be hard to get those effects in white because that's not really something that is in it's portion of the "color pie" but Angelic Purge is OK if you need an engine. In terms of black, I might recommend Smothering Abomination out of Battle for Zendikar. The Ordeals of Heliod and Eerebos also might be pretty good, depending on what exactly you're trying to do
>>54977777
I also forgot about Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker if that's what you're after.
And if you have an Android phone there are also a ton of free apps that allow you to search for cards. I recommend MTG Familiar

thanks man, and yeah i'll take your advise on that then, thanks
I found the Net Librarum of magical effects and I can't get enough now. All random tables are wanted, although preferably applicable to d&d, Pathfinder etc.

You'll love this website then
>recruit more players than I think I'll need, with the assumption that at least a few will be absent on any given session
>everyone shows up with perfect attendance and the table is too fucking crowded and combat rounds take forever
>thin out the players as peoples' lives get busier or they lose interest
>players are constantly busy and I only get 1-2 players per session, too few to run a proper game
I can't win.

Shit like this is why I switched to war games.
Run a West Marches.

This is the last resort. West Marches campaigns will turn you into an actual wraith, haunting your d100 for eternity
Do you use any creator to make your characters? Post it. I use:
>https://www.heroforge.com/
I can also draw, but I'm not that good at it
My group and I just stick to finding pics online and never really considered making characters ourselves, but this might be a neat thing to do.
Not really sure if appropriate for this board or not.

Haven't found a comprehensive reading list for 40K after Dark Imperium
>What do you suggest lads?
>Friend recommended the Eisenhorn Triology
Hello Friend,
>Haven't found a comprehensive reading list for 40K after Dark Imperium
You probably won't find such a list, but you can find good places to start.
I'm fond of both of these sets of recommendations.
https://www.reddit.com/r/40kLore/comments/4dr993/my_personal_reading_recommendations_for_the_wh40k/
http://www.trackofwords.com/2016/09/24/getting-started-with-black-library-warhammer-40000/
I recommend getting books that are in print -- easier to find and less expensive
I recommend omnibuses - Often three books in one - great value
>Friend recommended the Eisenhorn Triology
Dan Abnett is very good and so is the Eisenhorn Trilogy.
Consider starting with his first three Gaunt's Ghosts books.
It's more of a ground level thing dealing with Imperial Guards making it a great launching ramp into the greater 40k universe.
Note that a lot of the Abnett omibuses appear to be out of print until 2018. If you want to read these right now, you may need to get the single volumes.
Once you've read a bunch of books, you can just read more by the authors you liked best. Anthologies of short stories are also a good way of trying out authors.
Horus heresy is it's own thing and sub-genre, if you want the bear bones of the series read the numbered novels without the anthologies
For 40k, it depends on what you want
Want bolter porn space marine battles? Read the space marine battles series
Want more grounded detective-style street mysteries? Eisenhorn/Ravenor
Want xenos perspective? Read the path of the eldar/path of the dark eldar series
Want Imperial Guard angst? Read 15 hours, Gaunts Ghost, Macharian Crusade, and the IG novel series
Want satire/less dramatic stuff? Read Commissar Cain
Want Chaos perspective? Read Storm of Iron & its sequels, Word Bearers, Siege of Castellax, Talon of Horus, Night Lords, etc..
Want timeline advancement? Pretty much just Dark Imperium

Whether or not you enjoy those HH books, read Chris Wraight's White Scars work. Some of BL's best.

Well, OP, some folk are born made to wave the flag.
IT AINT MEyou better put in a sly marbo cameo
>>54975997
>spoilerWell I can't really talk about what I have planned because one of them is known to surf this board occasionally, but I have some ideas.\
Marbo really isn't appropriate for this though, right now they're currently trying to figure out what the hell Charlie is so scared of in the jungle, and why they keep finding people doing their best inside out impressions all over the place.
if you've got ideas for music though I'm all ears, I've already got all the staple Nam songs in the playlist, the kind of stuff that I've added on for shit starts getting more off is like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_nqirbA91A&list=PLk4vV1vD3v9Czly3EuAGtHlxfRbxZ3n_k&index=8
It started playing the first time they went into the jungle with their squad. Up until now the music had been all staple Nam hits. With pouring rain playing on a noise machine in the background, no charlie in sight, and nothing but this song to set the tone, it started to give them a sign that something wasn't right.
Hey /tg/, I need some advice on posing chaos bikers. I want to do leaning poses and what not but the models always seem to just fall over. Any advice would be helpful. Also modelling general thread

What are the most important numbers in fantasy, mythology and religion, and why are they so popular? Namely 3, 4, 7, 9, and 12. Think about it. 3 Graces, furies, fates, 4 horsemen, 12 Olympians, and so on.

Let's get this poor party rolling!
My current Zoo deck is Gruul Suicide Zoo, which is based on old Zoo decks from the mid 1990s (as they recently reprinted Berserk for 1 mana more as a common in Temur Battlerage.)
Violent Outburst was the best card advantage card I could find, usually acting as a lightning bolt + free spell. To take advantage of outburst and quiet edict effects I run some of the better token creatures.
Emissary is the new cheese as a free bear, kird ape is the best 1 drop outside of Delver. killing most of the value creatures in the game and can be daisy chained into a fast clock.
Souleater + Battlerage is a 2 card combo that kills with trample on turn 3 but without having to play other bad cards like infect. Souleater also can finish off an opponent at 5-6 life in a single hit, which is great when you are running low on cards and your opponent's engine has started revving.
4 Gruul Guildgate
4 Temur Battle Rage
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Kird Ape
4 Groundswell
4 Violent Outburst
4 Mogg War Marshal
8 Mountain
8 Forest
4 Burning-Tree Emissary
4 Nest Invader
4 Chain Lightning
4 Immolating Souleater
4 Natural State
4 Smash to Smithereens
3 Feed the Clan
4 Curse of the Pierced Heart
So does anyone else think the replacement of UB control with UR Delver in the meta is why these crappy combo decks like inside out and izzet blotz are coming back?

That is one ugly chain lightning...
