The old thread has been cucked, all is shit, even the piss.
I can't find this CYOA in the Drive. Maybe it uses different name there. How mysterious.
I kinda feel like you actually get too many points, if you pick Exterior Circle House and single Drawback, you have 41 points. There's 48 things to pick, each one costs 1 point so just pick 7 you don't want.
First problem is that there's very little to encourage you to actually pick Center or First-Ring regions. Your choices give you automated cars, spaceships and fucking teleport, so I'm uncertain how distance matters at all. Whatever.
Some of the room choices confuse me, you get fuckload of money so why do you have to use your points for Kitchen and Bath? Better pick them anyway, otherwise it's washing yourself in bird bath and lots of BBQing.
Servant list feels less like "make choices here" and more like "these are the NPCs in my comfy zone hut". Fuck Walter.
Gifts yada yada why is some random noble selling Royal Seal and how is it giving you discounts if only other people with it can see it? Does half of the fucking city have this seal?
I'm not sure how Less Resources is supposed work when you have your giant mansion and legion of servants. Whatever. We have teleports and FTL ships and travel from Outer Border still takes couple hours but that's servants problem.
I kinda like this and was planning on writing more but nobody reads this shit, nor should they. Post good cyoas. That's a joke, there are no good cyoas. Except the cowboy one, that was good.
>>53169675
Here's to another thread full of shitposting and moronic arguments. Cheers.
>>53169675
I think it's unfinished and the author disappeared.

Does someone else get turned on when narrators in a cyoa insult you?
Okay so, this friday we're gonna make a call of chtuhlu oneshot (1925).
I'm playing as a 24yo girl, and it's my first time roleplaying as a girl.
Is anyone here more expert and can give me advice on what to do and what not to do?
roleplaying thread i guess
>>53169459
Play them as you would another character just bear in mind how the character is likely influenced by the society they're operating in. What's the character's background?
>>53169459
Play a person, not a stereotype.
>>53169459
>I'm playing as a 24yo girl, and it's my first time roleplaying as a girl.
Just blame everything on the patriarchy and make sure you put all your char gen into women's studies and other useless talents
Your party is stopped by a few guards. They ask for your identification. What do you do?
Show them my identification.

Why did WotC wait until now to have a proper marketing budget and invest in ads?
$$$$$
>>53167409
Because we used to do that work for them, but now they kicked out the enfranchised players and need to spend money on marketing.
One more proof that the game is crumbling.
Because they want the normies now because nerd money only goes so far.
I need a reaction image that says "Do not trifle with powers beyond your understanding," but googling that phrase just presented me a lot of images of trifle. I feel like /tg/ can help with this. In return, I wanted to offer some of my best fantasy reaction images, but I've only got like two so I guess just reaction images generally.
>>53167391
Did you try making it yourself?
>>53167420
Like, painting my own picture that effectively conveys that idea? I'm not much of an artist, anon.
So if in 40k Nurgle was born due to the disaster of the Bubonic Plague and Khorne was born from the extremely bloody conquests of the Mongols and other hordes, why aren't gods being born nearly every minute now?
Think about it. Even the Mongol conquests and Black Death didn't kill on the same scale as the war and destruction in the galaxy in M41. Hundreds of thousands of beings of every race collectively perish or suffer every day. If something on the scale of a devastating but single-planet plague or warlike genocide from steppe hordes can form (almost always malevolent) gods, then why aren't there hundreds of gods in the 40k universe now?
A single major siege alone should be birthing dozens of Khornes.
>>53167287
Its widely accepted they were the straw that broke the camels back
Also a siege wouldn't spawn hundreds of khornes, it would make khorne himself more powerful
Think about it as the birth of a star. Random feelings and emotions are attracted to one another, forming elements more and more complex, also attracted to each other (maybe due to some force similar to gravity?). After a while, there are conglomerates so big and massive that there can't be any more individual element, due to being absorbed by the god almost instantly.
>>53167287
Because all that potential god-energy is now getting slurped up by the existing pantheon. It never hits critical mass.
They've been collecting dust on the shelf for 10,000 years. But now, at last, vengeance is the on the horizon.

How do I integrate intelligent demons(/devils) into my campaign without potraying them just as evil for the sake of being evil, even though that's more or less the definition of them?
Also, what are demons and devils in your campaign/setting like?
>>53166234
Always out for themselves
Just seeking power
like WoD vampires mostly
>>53166322
But if you depicted them like that, wouldn't they make a boring and shallow villain, just like any other nondemon, normal villain, who is just seeking power, is kinda boring and shallow?
In the Drunks&Dragons Podcast, the main characters are trying to stop a demon apocalypse and are basically forced into working with devils to stop it because the dwarves, elves, and human armies are too busy goofing around. The players are reluctant to work with devils, but the point is that, being lawful aligned creatures, the devils are concerned with the continued survival of society as a whole for their own needs and of course the natural antagonism between lawful devils and chaotic demons.
Is WoTC heading down the path of DC Comics in the 1980s? The situation with Commander 2016 seems eerily similar to what happened with Death of Superman.
Explain for those of us who aren't into comics?
>>53163646
In the 1980s, DC went out of their way to appease "collectors", which ended up creating a market bubble where investing in comics was a craze and casual readers were being priced out of the market. Eventually, people caught on to the fact that these comics weren't actually rare, and buyouts were making them artificially scarce. It was the Death of Superman comic that really made people catch on, as it was so massively printed that the investors were unable to buy enough to hike the price. This led to a major market crash.
>>53163646
I'm not really getting the analogy from what I know about that event.
>Superman is super big
>They decide to do a controversial event where he dies
>People freak
>He dies
>It's controversial, to say the least
>People think he's gone forever
>Lolaliensresurructhim
>People realize that nothing really matters in comics
>The status quo will always return
>Since the plots really don't matter, because only unpopular, obscure characters (or characters that need to stay dead for plot purposes, and even then those guys will come back sometimes for shits and gigles) will die and stay dead
>So people stop buying comics
>Cue a huge comics crash that nearly destroyed the big two
Due to the fact that this is plot related, and no one gives a shit about the commander plot, if there is one... I don't know.

How does death work in your setting?
People die when they are killed
>>53159333
Depends on the person dying. Is it a normal human? What world are they in? Generally speaking if someone dies they just die and cease to exist.
People with divine souls can avoid this but that means they are closer to elder gods then to mortals and they likely aren't going to stay dead for long. Though each dimension also tends to play on it's own rules so there is worlds with lesser souls that go to whatever fate the local reality system is built for. On the other hand if you happen to enter another world you could very well lose whatever nature of death your home had in store for you.
>>53159373
Basically this. There's no afterlife in my settings and no resurrection at all if the body has been dead for more than like 5 minutes at best.
Can we get a character art thread going? I need some character art for a modern game setting
Straight from /fa/

not a bad idea, I'll check there, thanks m8
How often and how do your characters interact with the gods? Do they answer your clerics prayers, or just hand out spells? Distant and powerful, or show up for parties when they get an invitation? What kind of rituals are there for honoring them and no pissing them off?
>ITT We talk about your setting's theology
>>53156563
How about just hot girls dressed like that instead?
Also rarely
I'll definitely get down on my knees to recite my oral prayers for that Goddess, if you know what I mean.
>>53156563
Haven't had any cleric-types in parties yet, but since the local deity is also the local sovereign, we've spoken to them on occasion of gettin' questsor hugs.
In-setting they're generally hailed at an annual ball where people get in line to bask in their presence for a whole three seconds, or an annual solstice festival where everyone parties until the sun rises, because sleep is for the weak. Outside that, they're the sole ruler of the nation, which includes being the final word on pretty much everything that happens. While they may be immortal, they've long since tired of bureaucratic bullshit, but doesn't want to come off as irritable or tyrannical for telling any of her subjects to just fuck off.Foreign propaganda is a powerful thing y'know, and it's not like there's only one god-emperor permanently in-office in the world.

>So, anon, how does magic meet machine in your game?
Just fine, until someone tries something stupid like juicing their brain up on mana and trying to work through a datajack or trodes.
If they can't overcome the device's resistance, no go. If they glitch, gremlins and confused sprites start pestering them. Critglitches haven't happened yet, and I kinda hope they don't.
Players have wisely stopped trying to cheese adept deckers.
Remember, adept deckers are cool in a protagonist-centered videogame, but you're not the protagonist in tabletop.
