So I've been playing Tomodachi Life, and Commander Boreale formed babby.

STEHSEE EET EES FAHMILEE BONDEEN TIEM
Any setting where you can wield eldritch powers rather than fighting against them?
I mean as in lovecraftian/cosmic horror-related. I know 5e has "eldritch knights" but the word is just used as synonym for arcane.
>>53182245
Warlock Pact of the Great Old One for 5e. They actually name-drop Cthulhu in the description
Also I have links to several Lovecraftian homebrew archetypes including a Sorcerous Origin and a Druid that is basically Moon Druid, except you can only turn into a Shoggoth that lets you cherry pick abilities.
>>53182245
I've heard mixed things about the CthulhuTech series, but it's interesting regardless. It's got all the bio-horror-iest anime tropes. Giant mecha (from Evangelion) and powered armor (from Guyver). Horror-themed superpowers for fighting horror-themed bad guys in a genre of RPG that isn't really horror.

They'll change the multiplayer ban back when HoD launches.Username so we can do some games when the list is fixed
So what's the chance of this ever being unbanned :^)?
Also, have you guys gotten anything in the mail today :^)?
Have you guys played around with Silas Renn at all? He was the partner I liked most from C16 and I've been trying to brew with him but not to much success. I have found that Artificer's Intuition is pretty crazy with him though.
>Play Artificer's Intuition on curve or T1 with a Mox
>Next turn pay UU and get Ring Crypt
>Play Silas and recast the artifacts I pitched
Artificer's Intuition seems really powerful, especially in EDH where it finds Moxes, Crypt, Ring and Vault. Why doesn't it see more play?
Matt says that if the giants are fighting humans they should have some degree of armour, a pavise shield, a helmet, a wooden club and some javelins.
If they're fighting other giants or other creatures in similar size then their weapons should be the same as humans would use if fighting other humans or creatures in similar size unless they're technologically inferior.
How about giant guns?
Why would a giant need a helmet to fight humans?
Like srly nigga humans can't reach that high.
The equipment a giant uses depends on exactly how giant it is.

WHY
I've been hearing a lot of anons using the term "X card" or "X-card" derisively while talking about rules lite games, but I don't recall ever coming upon it anywhere else. I don't like being behind on the memes, so can anyone explain to me what it's supposed to be a reference to?
>>53178490
"Being a triggered bitch" now in passive aggressive card form.
>>53178495
Actually, since the archive still has it.

Bascially you have an card with an X on it in the middle of the table. At any point during the game someone may tap the card to indicate that what's currently happening makes them uncomfortable. It was made for convention one-shots and things where the players don't know each other and didn't have a chance to talk about these things beforehand.
Space Marines eating brains to gain memories is an ancient meme, coming from the Omophagea, a space marine implant organ that allows them to "learn" and gain memories by eating the flesh of the dead. This has always been one of the sillier space marine traits, and is often cited when one starts to take 40k too seriously
But what if there was an actual explaination? What if the reason space marines have this ability is due to an inherit pyschic potential given to them by the mutagenic implants first designed by the Emperor using power and lore he stole from the chaos gods? What if Space Marines are ALL by their very nature, tainted by the warp to some degree? This would explain a lot of things. It would explain their fanatic loyalty and similar mindsets to their primarchs. It would explain why they fall so readily to corruption without the Emperor's protection, and why Chaos is so able and eager to home in on them for said corruption. Like Eldar they stand out because of a deep inherent connection to the warp, even moreso than regular humans, because their flesh is already touched by biosorcery?
This would explain a lot about space marines, why replicating them safely is so hard, why mutation is such a risk, and how all their organs actually work. The omophagea runs on warp fuckery. It makes perfect sense.
Well, Space Marines are all warp touched due to them coming from primarches that WERE ALL warp touched. Simple as that.
>>53178325
Space Marines are partly Warp-linked, yes. It's why you supposedly can't get a Blank Astartes, the gene-seed cancels the Blank qualities.
>>53180758
Really? Not to call you a liar but can you direct me to where you saw that?

Unknown Armies thread!
Starting topic: The Ascension of the Magdalene, set in 16th century Prague, was a surprisingly fun adventure for "a game of postmodern magick". Where else would you set an Unknown Armies game?
An otherspace locked in anachronistic retrospective of a particular time in history by the collective beliefs about the stories of the time. Ordinarily this sort of thing wouldn't happen, but for some reason, a fault or maybe sabotage, it's as though someone blew a hole in the hull of the universe and it's letting all the pressure out into a big bubble. All sorts of people with some proximity to the concepts are finding themselves suddenly stranded in an unfamiliar land (ie. Masterless Man avatars in an Old West version) and left to their own devices.
Does someone have the drone bombing ritual from one of the older threads? I can't seem to find it on the archives

I don't think giving levels is a good idea, since in the case of him coming back to the good side you'd just have an OP char.
What about this?
>give him some spellcasting, things from the Warlock list can fit thematically. Maybe change the cast time to 1 bonus action so he can still stab
>give +1d8 or so extra necrotic damage on hit
>give +2 or so AC and some temp HP as the dark powers reach out to protect him
All stuff that can be taken away if he atones
