Need a impact/driver combo. Want to use the impact for some light car stuff. See these two options and like some input from Canacucks on the Maximum series from Canadian Tire. Go for it or stick with Dewalt? Would be for home and car.
Bosch PS41 has held up really well for me.

All I have right now. Gonna probably look for a second vehicle for next winter soon. Thinking an older Jeep or a mid 2000's pickup.

>FJ60
>J40
I can only afford one, it will be my part time driving car split with my 1990 Toyota pickup. I am thinking the FJ60 just because it'll be a little less spartan, however its hard to pass up on the classic look of the J40.
Sounds like you should buy a $2000 Suburban and install custom parts from a GM truck and an F250.

FJ40 is the only way to go.

Wasn't this car designed by an american from Ohio or something? i think the previous gen was designed by a japanese.
who would buy this?
Looks good
I just found out that apparently the Plymouth Barracuda fastbacks were really comfy to sleep in; you could fold the rear seats dead flat and it'd give you 7 feet of floorspace to sleep on.
Are there are any modern cars that aren't wagons/vans/4x4s that could give me a flat floor of at least 6'5" feet with the rear seats folded down?
>>16858044
Buy a van and be a degenerate or just stay in a hotel like a normal person.

Commodore wagons are great to sleep in.

Truck and Land Yachts.
All of them if you're over the age of 15.
Can you respray clearcoat if there is no visible paint fade?
I was polishing my nre2 second hand car and suddenly my pad went blue like the car
But the paint looks perfect
The paint currently has a full very light polish and sealant to it
Can I just respray it with clearcoat to protect it? It doesnt need to look 100% perfect its an older car not worth the cost of a full respray
My thoughts are that it will need a full respray anyway so if this works it works, if it doesnt Ill go the respray option
>>16857949
New*
Also I need to stress there are no harsh chunks of missing clear
I could only tell because the buffing wheel changed colour and so did the rags investigating
Without that I would have never known, it just looks normal
It covers a significant part of the non removable frame panels so I cant just respray seperate panels
>>16857949
Also its a 2006 holden ute
Not worth almost doubling the price for a respray, but still worth attempting to stop the fade
Yeah I've done it before on my tahoe
How much should you factor in a depreciation projection when weighing purchase options?
Trying to decide between a used '16 or a new '17 Mustang GT (both in auto to improve re-sale chances - spare me the lecture) and have been running some numbers that suggest that due to the value of these cars settling/converging after a generation gap, buying the cheaper car at the moment (although it is used) will always work out better (since they will both become "old-gen" at the same time).
My question is - should the factors that a used car cannot provide (i.e., full warranty, ability to sell as the only owner, etc.) be given enough weight/importance to make me disregard the projected depreciation differences between the two cars?
>>16857849
what sorta faggot buys a car based solely on the resale value?
Buy a car cause you love it, you stupid cunt. Cost is irrelevant.
Ran some numbers on KBB and Edmunds and tried to "age" the cars (relying on the assumption that they will more or less age in the same way that previous model years have).
Year 2 projection is a data-point I'm throwing out because it involves a generation gap discrepancy where one of the "aged" cars is in a different generation from the other. As mentioned in OP, this is not possible in my situation.
As you can see, the 2017 wins in a "Year 4 projection" where you have two cars in the middle of previous generation and the relatively newer one has better sale values relative to current cost. But then afterwards the plateau re-asserts itself and the lower up-front cost of the older model wins in the Year 5 projection.
Good color. You should get the manual with performance pack like I did
No matter how hard I try, I can't get to 3rd gear without jerking the car. Is this my fault or part of the synchronization on this fucking vehicle? I try to ease a bit off the gas before clutching but it seems unless I bring it to 3500, it'll have a jerk going from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd.
How do I prevent this without accelerating like a fucking grandma?
Also, since I'm here:
Can I do overdrive fifth at 1800RPM or is that straining the engine?
Can I remove my gear selector without clutching or is that straining the actual transmission?
Is keeping the RPMs under 2000 worse or better for fuel?
>>16857715
Release the clutch slower after you shift and don't take too long to shift.
Don't pull the shifter out of gear without the clutch in.
>>16857826
why not? sometimes if i just give it a small pull, it disconnects easily without use of the clutch
>>16857883

What are some of the motorsports you can get into on a budget? Anything. Dirt, pavement, cars or other
>pic somewhat unrelated
dirtbiking
If you're on a budget, you'll be looking at autocross, low level bracket racing (drag), and maybe some sort of 1/4 mi circle track racing.
Of course autocross comes to mind & karting. But can you really be competitive in either on a budget?
It seems like the SCCA classing wouldn't let a slower/cheaper car (when stock) be competitive even if upgraded to have something a higher model had because it isn't original for that model and would bump it into a higher class.
But especially karting i hear new tires after 3 races is the normal thing and some change tires every race?
When it comes to oil, filters, coolant/other fluids, the best place to go is Walmart, their supertech brand is equivalent to the majority of name brand and usually costs 30% less. Also, buying tires/batteries from Walmart/Sams Club is great because their prices are lower and warranties are better than other competitors.
Poor fag general?
>>16855589
Supertech Synthetic is fucking solid. I'll run that shit 10000 miles in my Miata and it still has plenty of active additive left in it according to blackstone labs.
What do you honestly think about this Lexus LC500?
